  • Resizing Tab Bar Controller Views (iPhone dev)

    Hello, I have an application set up where the window contains a tab bar controller and one of the tabs loads a NIB called 'ShowCaseView.xib': this file is owned by a custom ShowcaseViewController class. In the ShowcaseViewcontroller class I have added a UIScrollView object, like so: imageScrollView = [[UIScrollView alloc] initWithFrame:[[self view] bounds]]; [[self view] addSubview:imageScrollView]; The issue I am having is that this UIScrollView object extends beneath my tab bar controller. So I have had to reduce its insets manually: #define TAB_BAR_HEIGHT 48 . . UIEdgeInsets edgeInsets = UIEdgeInsetsMake(0, 0, TAB_BAR_HEIGHT, 0); [imageScrollView setScrollIndicatorInsets:edgeInsets]; So, Is it common to have to manually deduct the tab bar height from a view (whether this be by reducing the size of subviews or the View NIB in inspector)? Is there a way that I can tell a NIB's view loaded from a tab bar to resize itself automatically to NOT sit behind the tab bar? Cheers

    Hello, I am working on a browser based application that will have many users. The catch is that every user should have their own customized login page, but the actual application is the same for everyone, and needs to be in a central location. What is the most secure way of doing this? Would it make more sense to have a copy of the application for each user, and keep the database centralized?     I’m making a simple web browser for work eeh, what I’d like to know is if its possible to save a file of a particular extension to a particular file. I currently use googels chrome when downloading a file it places this (regardless of extension) in a downloads folder without asking where I ant to download this too. I want to achieve the same except that downloads with the extension .dwg are placed automatically in a folder named DWG DOWNLAODS… Dose anybody know how to achieve this in vb.net?

    my local is 'en_IN' (ie Zend_Registry::get('Zend_Locale')) I have to convert the local value to standard float number format for example 1,235.23 = 1235.23 3.23 = 3.23 I have used the following code Zend_Locale_Format::getFloat($value, array('locale' = Zend_Registry::get('Zend_Locale'))); it working fine for 1,235.23, and i get the answer 1235.23. But when i give 3.23 , i get the error on this code And the error shown as 'No localized value in 3.23 found', This issue is happening in the browser opera, when we set the language is English(IN)(en-IN)

  • asp classic and javascript to check for session status

    Hey all, i am in need of some help with trying to figure out how to go about checking the users session and seeing if they are still logged in or not. The problem being is because i have a static page that pretty much loads everything into "tabs" using jquery. So when they use navigates the page, it really never leaves that same page they started out on. Hints my problem in trying to determine if they are still logged in or not when they click on update their information on their profile or whatnot. Any suggestions/help would be great! :o) David

  • How to "enable" HTML5 elements in IE that were inserted by AJAX call?

    IE does not work good with unknown elements (ie. HTML5 elements), one cannot style them , or access most of their props. Their are numerous work arounds for this for example: http://remysharp.com/2009/01/07/html5-enabling-script/ The problem is that this works great for static HTML that was available on page load, but when one creates HTML5 elements afterward (for example AJAX call containing them, or simply creating with JS), it will mark these newly added elements them as HTMLUnknownElement as supposed to HTMLGenericElement (in IE debugger). Does anybody know a work around for that, so that newly added elements will be recognized/enabled by IE?   • IE6 and IE7 Input padding CSS

    I have input boxes with a height of 25 pixels. In Firefox, Safari and IE8 automatically vertically align the text of it in the middle correctly. However in IE6 and IE7 the text is aligned to the top. How may I resolve this? Adding padding-top increased the total height of the input as I have explicitly declared its height. I don't wish to use browser specific CSS. Thanks.

  • Download textarea contents as a file using only Javascript (no server-side)

    I am being asked to make a "download" button that downloads the contents of a textarea on the same page as a file, with the browser's "Save As" dialog showing up. Copy/paste would do the job just fine, but it is a "requirement". Right now, I am just posting the contents of the textarea to the server, which echos them back with "Content-disposition: attachment" slapped on. Is there a way to do this with just client-side Javascript?

Should I expect the Temporary Internet Files folder to be empty after clearing the cache?
