  • Adding buttons dynamically to a uitableviewcell - iPhone app

    I have a verb conjugation app that displays verb translations in the first cell of a table. At present the translation list is just a string (comma-separated list) but I'd like to change it to have clickable buttons. I had a play around adding buttons to the cell view without too much success but my only experience with custom cells has been using specific positioning so I'm unsure as to how to achieve a dynamic list of buttons (varying widths) within a cell. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers.

    What is the best way to produce several tables of unknown size on the same worksheet? Values will be pulled from an oracle database and are used as values on several tables. Is it possible to create dynamic named ranges or is some other method desirable? I have some experience with c# but do not have access to VSTO 2005. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to explain the problem further if requested.

    Case 1: I have created View-based sample application and tried execute below code. When I press on "Job List" button it should load another view having "Back Btn" on it. In test function, if I use [self.navigationController pushViewController:jbc animated:YES]; nothing gets loaded, but if I use [self presentModalViewController:jbc animated:YES]; it loads another view haveing "Back Btn" on it. Case 2: I did create another Navigation Based Applicaton and used [self.navigationController pushViewController:jbc animated:YES]; it worked as I wanted. Can someone please explain why it was not working in Case 1. My module.gwt.xml file has .... <inherits name='appBlueTheme.appBlueTheme'/> <inherits name='appOrangeTheme.appOrangeTheme'/> ... But in my app i see the effect of appBlueTheme as GWT doc say "inherited modules will be cascaded in the order they are listed" I want theme to be changed based on user response.     I have defined function, which returns multidimensional array. allocation for rows arr = (char **)malloc(size); allocation for columns (in loop) arr[i] = (char *)malloc(v); and returning type is char** Everything works fine, except freeing the memory. If I call free(arr[i]) and/or free(arr) on array returned by function, it crashes.   • Dynamically disable custom (VBA) Excel context menu buttons?

    The Scenario Hi guys, I am about to add a few custom controls to the cell context menu in my Excel workbook using the instructions found on this MSDN page. The only problem I am having is that I need the items to only be enabled for a specific column/range of cells. I've looked around, and I've been unable to find any steps for this--there are some for VSTO development (written in C#), but that is not what I need. I plan to write this using the VBA IDE built into Office, and perhaps a bit of XML using the Custom UI Editor. The Question So basically, I'm looking for a way to run a function at the time the context menu is called (i.e., upon right-click) that validates the selection to make sure it is in the appropriate column. If it isn't, I would like my custom buttons to be greyed out. P.S. Please don't think I am asking you to write my code. Creating these buttons should be very simple, as I have created many before (albeit they were all Ribbon items), and I hope it is okay to ask for some quick assistance on this very specific issue. How to do it? - I can't loop through the AllData property since it is asynchronously loaded... - thus I don't know the number of View2s' to insert - I don't know how to do it from ViewModel1 :( Will I need ViewModel2 with property 'MyDataEntity CurrentData'? or I can bind to AllData property from ViewModel1 Can you help me out?   • Need to dynamically-generate a "sticky note" text

    Working on a website that has an image of a sticky note which will change text somewhat frequently (every month or so) as new "todo" items are created on it. Font I'm currently using is not Web Safe and the text is slightly angled to match the skew of the sticky note as well. Now I'm a pragmatist, and in situations like this I would normally secede defeat and opt for something more CSS/HTML practical. But no more! I'm falling a bit behind on what's going on with HTML5, CSS3, PNG graphics, Flash (ugh), and/or any other rich visuals. I'm decent with PHP/CSS/JS (jquery), have dabbled in Flash/actionscript too. My question is: what tools/method should I be looking at here?

    Hi everyone, I have two classes (class1 and class2) that just store data, no methods. I have a third class that has an instance variable that, depending on some user input, will be set to one of the two classes. So, in the third class I declare the variable generically as NSObject *aClass; and during runtime set it to whatever it should be. aClass = [[Class1 alloc] init]; // or aClass = [[Class2 alloc] init]; However, when I try to access fields from aClass NSString *str = aClass.field1; It gives me the error: request for member 'field1' in something not a structure or a union. Field1 is declared in both class1 and class2. When I try to cast aClass aClass = (Class1 *) aClass; it gives the same error. What am I doing wrong, is there a better way to do this?

  • JQGrid: Dynamically set a cell to uneditable based on content

    I'm having some issues getting some cells (with cellEdit: true) to be non-editable even though the column is set to editable. I've tried many ways, like beforeEditCell, formatters, etc. None seem to work. The closest I've got is by setting a formatter to the column that I'd like to be editable and then using setCell to set the 'not-editable-cell' class (snippet below). The first time you click the cell, it unfortunately goes into edit mode, but if you click elsewhere and try to re-edit the cell, it's successfully uneditable. I've also tried using the same snipped but inside of beforeEditCell, it successfully stops the cell from being edited but in turn 'freezes' the grid. You can no longer select any other cell. function noEditFormatter(cellValue, options, rowObject) { if (cellValue == 'test') jQuery("#grid").jqGrid('setCell', options.rowId, 'ColName', '', 'not-editable-cell'); return cellValue; } Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Obtain the pathName dynamically for ASP.NET MVC

    Hello, I'm looking for a solution that allows me to get the parent page pathname from a partialView invoked. For example I have an Action baa and a controller boo so the javascript to obtain this will be window.location.pathname, and it returns /boo/baa. The thing is that I use a partial view, so when I try to retrieve the pathname via the URL helper, what I obtain is the PartialView one, and what I need is the pathname for the action that invokes it. I want to do this because I want to show certain things of the partial view depending on the pathname of the parent view that invokes it. Is there a way to do this with ASP.NET MVC?
