  • Sproutcore SC.arrayProxy, where is in the docs?

    - by Bakaburg
I'm reading the getting started guide of sproutcore, about the Todo app. Around the beginning they tell to instantiate a controller from the SC.arrayProxy class. But this class is not present in the docs!!! and even in google is nowhere to be found! where does it come out from?? EDIT: I discovered that SC.arrayProxy is only in sproutcore 2! I wonder what are the differences from SC.arrayController

  • PHP script to draw a spiral?

    - by Vacilando
Does anybody have a PHP (or other language) script for drawing a spiral. A simple (Archimedean spiral) would be just fine. Of course the principle is simple but coding it in SVG or GD would take some time, so I wonder if somebody has one ready :-)

  • How to customize /#/ in Jquery address plugin

    - by Lauren
Hi, I'm using the Jquery plugin Address to achieve deep linking. The generated urls come out in the format www.example.com/#/tab/image, but what I need is www.example.com/#tab/image. The plugin seems to automatically generate the /#/ part. I wonder does anyone know how to do this? Or even if it's possible? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance

  • SQLite long to wide formats?

    - by Stephen
Hi, I wonder if there is a canonical way to convert data from long to wide format in SQLite (is that operation usually in the domain of relational databases?). I tried to follow this example for MySQL but I guess SQLite does not have the same IF construct... Thanks!

  • Built in Analyzer in Xcode 3.1.4

    - by Mustafa
Hi all, I wonder if the built in Analyzer in Xcode 3.1.4 makes it redundant to use LLVM/Clang Static Analyzer separately? Please refer to the original article here: Finding memory leaks with the LLVM/Clang Static Analyzer Thanks.

  • Details in hex of the certificate in .pem openssl

    - by allenzzzxd
Hi, I have generated using openssl mycert.pem which contents the certificate. And I converted the base64 text into hex. I wonder if it's possible to extract the informations from the hex string in c (without using the openssl library). For example, the public key, the issuer, the subject, the validity information, etc. Thanks.

  • Syntax proposition

    - by Knowing me knowing you
I wonder if syntax as follows would be helpful in your opinion as a code readability improvent and self-commenting of code: std::map<std::string name, std::vector<int> scores> myMap; In this example it clearly says and no other comment is needed, what for we are using myMap variable. Looking forward to your opinions.

  • Stateful EJBs in web application?

    - by Sebastien Lorber
Hello I never used stateful EJBs. I understand that a stateful EJB can be useful with a java client. But i wonder: in which case to use them on a web application? And how? Should we put these stateful beans in Session (because of stateless http)? Is it a good practice? (without debating too much about stateful vs stateless)

  • Getting an 'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine error when I tried hosting on Azure Servers

    - by user1864888
I am hosting a web application which uses OLEDB 12 to read an Excel file, but getting the error "'Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0' provider is not registered on the local machine". Wonder if I should use lower version of OLEDB or Azure does not support OLEDB services at all. Before rewriting the program, just wanted to see if anyone knows a better alternative. I am using Visual Studio 2010 for my development. Thanks in Advance.

  • Dump Linq-To-Sql now that Entity Framework 4.0 has been released?

    - by DanM
The relative simplicity of Linq-To-Sql as well as all the criticism leveled at version 1 of Entity Framework (especially, the vote of no confidence) convinced me to go with Linq-To-Sql "for the time being". Now that EF 4.0 is out, I wonder if it's time to start migrating over to it. Questions: What are the pros and cons of EF 4.0 relative to Linq-To-Sql? Is EF 4.0 finally ready for prime time? Is now the time to switch over?

  • How do BitTorrents connect with eachother?

    - by mazzzzz
Hey guys, I was just downloading a new distro of linux using uTorrent, and started to wonder how uTorrent (and other bittorrents) send files to eachother through NAT routers? They obviously use the trackers to get introduced, but how do they pass info to eachother? Is there a whitepaper on this? I couldn't find one :/ Thanks, Max

  • do's and don'ts for writing mysql queries

    - by nik
One thing I always wonder while writing query is that am I writing most optimized query or not? I know certain things like: 1) using SELECT field1, filed2 instead of SELECT * 2) Giving proper indexes to the tables but I am sure there are more things that should be kept in mind for writing queries, since most of the database can only grow more and optimal query will help gr8 in execution time, Can u share some tips and tricks on writing queries?

    - by Tim
    Hi, I wonder how to label each equation in align environment? For example \begin{align} \label{eq:lnnonspbb} \lambda_i + \mu_i = 0 \\ \mu_i \xi_i = 0 \\ \lambda_i [y_i( w^T x_i + b) - 1 + \xi_i] = 0 \end{align} only label the first equation and only the first equation can be referred later. Thanks and regards!

  • What kind of intern experience should I get?

    - by Narcolapser
So right now I have a good job as a software development intern for a company called Country Maid. I know that having 4 years of experience when I graduate from college (I'm currently a freshman) will look good on a resume. But I started to wonder, would 4 with one company be best, or 4 years split up between multiple companies be best? So my question is, when hiring a software developer straight out of college, what kind and how much experience to companies look for? ~N

  • Numeric operations over SHA-1 generated keys in C#

    - by webdreamer
I'm trying to implement a Chord distributed hash table. I want to use SHA-1 as the hash function to generate node ids and map values to the DHT. However, I'll need to use numerical operations on the SHA-1 generated key, such as a modulo, for example. I wonder in which type of variable should I put the array of bytes I get, and how can I convert from one to another.

  • Google Collections sources don't compile

    - by Carl Rosenberger
I just downloaded the Google Collections sources and imported them into a new Eclipse project with JDK 1.6. They don't compile for a couple of reasons: javax.annotation.Nullable can not be found javax.annotation.ParametersAreNonnullByDefault can not be found Cannot reduce the visibility of the inherited method #createCollection() from AbstractMultimap + 11 similar ones Name clash: The method forcePut(K, V) of type AbstractBiMap has the same erasure as forcePut(Object, Object) of type BiMap but does not override it + 2 similar ones What am I missing? I also wonder if unit tests for these collections are available to the public.

  • How Do You Make An Assembler?

    - by mudge
I'd like to make a simple x86 assembler. I'm wondering if there's any tutorials for making your own assembler. Or if there's a simple assembler that I could study. Also, I wonder what tools are used in looking at and handling the binary/hex of programs.
