• Code while standing

  I have a regular, standard, workplace: a desk, a chair an LCD monitor, a mouse and a keyboard. I would like to have the ability to work while standing. I have the feeling that my employer will not will to buy an adjustable desk, instead of the existing one, so I would like to have your help with ideas on how to convert a workplace to a "standable" one on as low budget as possible. I saw this discussion, but the solutions proposed there are way above my "low budget" definition

  I am always getting redirecting to this http://search.tedata.net tedata is my internet provider . I called them they say they can't help unless I have windows but I don't want to go back to windows I tried rootkit hunter but it didn't work either I don't know what is wrong , how could this keep coming up even after formatting my hard ? is it possible that the ubuntu version I have downloaded from the website is defective , the problem didn't appear with linux mint or xubuntu it only appeared when I replaced unity with cinnamon but now it appears right away after clean installation of ubuntu 12.04

• Is there a perf hit using mule as a container vs. standard JEE container like Weblogic?

  Our team is considering using Mule in a large scale medium volume internal facing transactional banking application. At first Mule would just be used as an application server although it is possible some of its esb/orchestration features would be used in the future. I have no experience with mule, being new on the team. But my gut says Mule would not be as performant as Weblogic or Glassfish as a deployment container. Does anyone have any comparison stories to share that might shed light?

  I have a folder contains files name as: xxx.get.txt and xxx.resp.txt xxx.get.txt, xxx.resp.txt yyy.get.txt, yyy.resp.txt zzz.get.txt, zzz.resp.txt, etc each prefix xxx should have two corresponding files, .get.txt and .resp.txt However, now I calculate the number of .get.txt and the number of .resp.txt files, they are not equal, there're ten more .get.txt.   I am using a proper binary tree to simulate a tournament bracket. It's preferred any competitors in the bracket that are teammates don't meet each other until the later rounds. What is an efficient method in which I can ensure that teammates in the bracket have as much distance as possible from each other?   For the whishlist... The 'delete button' in Ubuntu One Notes is exactly in the same place as the 'save' button. So I saved a long note, but as my finger clicked two times on the save button, the second click was on the 'delete' one ! Lost without return possible. <:-(( This annoying feature could easily be changed : - put the delete button in another place - before deleting : ask for confirmation - offer a way to cancel ('undelete' function)

For example, send player xyz information to client only when the player is visible in client's frustum and not occluded by any object ? Even if the collision-geometry is very simplified, most of the time cheater won't receive tactical information. Why not do this ?

  I set up a test in Google Website Optimizer that has a 3 variations - original (A), B, and C. In order to further validate the results of the test, I added a variation C that is exactly the same as the original. And thats where the results get weird. 6 days in to the test, the best performing variation is C. It outperforms the original by 18.4%! How is that possible? Do I now discount the results of this test entirely?

  In Minecraft, the sunset looks really beautiful and I've always wanted to know how they do it. Do they use several skyboxes rendered over eachother? That is, one for the sky (which can turn dark and light depending on the time of the day), one for the sun and moon, and one for the orange horizon effect? I was hoping someone could enlighten me... I wish I could enter wireframe or something like that but as far as I know that is not possible.
