  Using data from Google Analytics and Webmaster tools, what data should I be looking at to improve my websites performance? I want to improve the SEO, usability and just general performance of my website. EDIT: It's a portfolio website that we've done the initial SEO for, also optimised all images etc and made the site as fast as possible. What kind of things should I be looking out for in the analytics and webmaster data to improve performance for both the SEO and each individual page.

  For enterprise windows-based solutions, .NET is the best choice sometimes. How is Mono looked at by the enterprises who have to use Linux (or rather prefer to use Linux) ? Assuming that the developers aren't a problem and they are familiar with .NET/Mono and other possible competitors such as Java. Would a medium/large company run Mono on their servers as opposite to technologies such as Java? Do you know of any such company ?

  I have recently started learning javascript and html and have developed simple 2 player games such as tick-tack-toe, battleship, and dots&boxes. However these 2 player games can only be played on one computer (i.e. the 2 players must sit together) However, I want to modify this so that one can play with a friend on a different computer. Is it possible to install GRUB2 at /dev/sda1 partition? Is Ubuntu installer ready for that? Is there some configuration for GRUB2 to setup boot path for Windows 7 (HDD) and Ubuntu 12.04 (SSD)?

• See configured rules even when inactive

  Hello, I'm wondering if it's possible to get UFW to list the configured firewall rules even when it's not enabled. I only have ssh access to the server at this time, and I don't want to enable UFW if there's not a rule configured allowing ssh. However, since UFW is currently not enabled, I just get an "inactive" message when I run "ufw status". Is there a special flag I can use or even some config file I can look at to see what rules are configured even when the firewall is disabled?

I understand that there are bots and crawlers that do not process CSS, but they don't need to. And nowadays most people use browsers that can process CSS3 with no problem. So should I make my buttons and shadows and such look pretty with CSS3 or with images?

  I am designing a tactical turn based game. The maps are 2d, but do have varying level-layers and blocking objects/terrain. I'm looking for an algorithm for pathfinding which will allow me to show an opaque shape representing all of the possible max-distance pixels that a mob can move to, knowing the mob's max pixel distance. Any thoughts on this, or do I just need to write a good pathfinding algorithm and use it to find the cutoff points for any direction in which an obstacle exists?

  I hate gnome3, so I installed MATE (gnome2 fork) in my Ubuntu 12.04 desktop. It's pretty good, but I have a problem: it doesn’t have (or I haven't found) a working indicator applet on the top panel. I installed mate-indicator-applet package, but it displays only a message icon, but I need volume-control with rythmbox panel, ubuntu1 and a system menu (logoff, shutdown, hibernate, etc.) So is it possible to set the indicator applet like the normal gnome?   I would like as full of an install as possible (most notably no casper, just straight on the drive) on a USB stick, but I'm not allowed to touch the current configuration of the computer I'll be running it on at all (except of course changing the boot options to boot from usb). Most guides I read are about getting a live install with persistence on USB, or (I think) still replace the MBR with GRUB. Is there any way to combine the two, and not touch the underlying system?

  With Precise, I used to create a USB stick using the so-called "Alternate" installer DVD with my own preseed.txt, update isolinux/txt.cfg with a new menu item that would pass my preseed file on the command line, and watch as the installer happily did all the right things to create a Ubuntu install on the hard drive of the machine I booted. With Trusty, the 'alternate' image has disappeared. Is it still possible to preseed a Trusty install, and if so, how do I get the d-i/ubiquity system to use my preseed file?

  I am using XNA 4.0 and I wonder if drawing models with multiple meshes is better by filling the vertex and index buffers first and calling GraphicsDevice.DrawIndexedPrimitives() or by simply using good ol' foreach(...) {ModelMesh.Draw()}. Is it possible to add data to vertex/index buffers at all in order to pack all the models on the scene in them and then call Draw only once per frame?
