• Google groups not finding discussion thread but regular google search does?

  I'm having a problem with google groups and finding my own discussion threads. I go to the google group (in my case Android developer group) web view and try to search for my thread by entering the extact title of my thread. But it doesn't appear in the search results. On the other hand, when I search for the same title in the regular google web search, I get the thread right on top of the result list. I thought it might take a while until the groups index all new threads, but still after a few days, it still wouldn't show up. • Customizing scrollable plugin with prevpage and nextpage over the image? (see mock up)

  Hi, I am implementing a scrollable for a portfolio gallery. (scrollable = scrollable plugin from http://flowplayer.org/tools/index.html ) There will be one item visible at a time. By default, scrollable positions the prev/next buttons outside of the image area and clicking on the current image advances the scrollable content. I would like to have the prev/next render within the image area. I would like to have an image caption appear when mousing over the lower part of the image. • App only spawns one thread

  I have what I thought was a thread-friendly app, and after doing some output I've concluded that of the 15 threads I am attempting to run, only one does. • Simple File-based Record Storage with Fast Text Searching for Compact Framework and Silverlight

  I have a single table with lots of records ( 100k) that I need to be able to index and search on several text fields. The easiest searches will have the first part of the string specified (eg, LIKE 'ABC%' in SQL). The tougher searches will need to search for any substring within the text fields (eg, LIKE '%ABC%' in SQL). I need to run on the Compact Framework. SQL Compact is a memory hog and overkill for my one table. Besides, I'd like to be able to run on Silverlight 4 eventually. The file and indexes can be generated on the full .NET Framework and I only need read capability on the Compact Framework. My records are not especially large and can be expressed in fix length format. I'm looking for some existing code or libraries to avoid having to write a file-based BTree implementation from scratch.

• Dns caching for sockets

  I'm connecting to some websites through socks proxy server. In my case its very good to implement dns cache, so proxy don't need to resolve website's ip address. So, I performed DNS lookup, but don't know where to supply IP address. mySocket.Connect uses proxy's ip address so it isn't right place. I tried to place it in http header GET http://11.22.33.44/index.html HTTP/1.1 - this doesn't work (even in browser) since website is on virtual hosting. It seems that Host header is right place for resolved ip address. Am I right? Will proxy resolve host name (since it's still there in GET header) or not?

In the Backend i want to reorder the Images by Drag&Drop in an Gallery. It works, but for the Output i have the following Problem: I send the AJAX Request to index.php?option=com_cwgallery&controller=gallerie&task=ajax As i told you, it works, but i want to display the result in a Layer. But Joomla always sends the complete Template and the Result back. How can i disable sending the Admin Template??? Hope you understand what i mean? Thanks, Sascha

  Hi, i am building a web service with zend and i am using modules to separate my api versions. Ex: "applications/modules/v1/controllers", "applications/modules/v2/controllers" have different set of actions and functionality. I have made "v1" as the default module in "application.ini" file: resources.modules = "" resources.frontController.defaultModule = "v1" resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules" resources.frontController.moduleControllerDirectoryName = "controllers" I have written the following in my bootstrap file: $router = $front->getRouter(); $r1 = new Zend_Controller_Router_Route_Regex('api/v1/tags.xml', array('module' => 'v1', 'controller' => 'tags', 'action' => 'index')); $router->addRoute('route1', $r1); Suppose, if this is my url: http://localhost/api/v1/tags.xml then it belongs to version 1 (v1). But i dont want to write many routes like this one, so i want to know how can i track the version from the regex url and dynamically determine the api version to be used (1 or 2).

• jquery load links not clickable

  ok i am loading a separate page with links in it, into a page named index.php. it loads fine, but when i click one of the links inside the loaded content, nothing happens. they dont act as links. but if i do a alert('hi'); after the load('page.html'); then it will work. any ideas on getting this to work without alerting something after it loads? oh also i cant use a callback, unless there is a way to update the get variable because the page loading, has a $_GET variable, and the links inside the loaded page are supposed to update the $_GET variable. anyways is there a way to make the links clickable after loading the page?

Since i have a thousand of logs/inputs in a second, it should finish very fast for every single log/input. Sometime it reaches CPU 100%. Can anyone help me to solve this regex problem? Thanks

I've tried substituting the .text for .prepend, .append, and .html with no luck...is there a way to convert this string back to html format after its been received using Ajax?

• Footer issue in IE6 & 7

  Hi At the following site http://www.r2integrated.com/clients/FMX/index.html In IE 6 & 7 the footer's background should be grey; outside of the white box. It looks correct in firefox, chrome & IE8, but not IE6 & 7 the footer's background is white and inside the box. I have tried many things with no luck. • Localization with separate Language folders within Views

  I'm trying to have specific folders for each language in Views. (I know this isn't the best way of doing it but it has to be this way for now) e.g. /Views/EN/User/Edit.aspx /Views/US/User/Edit.aspx These would both use the same controller and model but have different Views for each language. In my Global.asax.cs I have routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{language}/{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { language = "en", controller = "Logon", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional }, // Parameter defaults new { language = @"en|us" } // validation ); This works ok but always points to the same View. If I put the path to the Lanagugage folder it works return View("~/Views/EN/User/Edit.aspx"); but clearly this isn't a very nice way to do it. Is there anyway to get MVC to look in the correct language folder? Thanks and again I know this isn't the best way of doing Localization but I can't use resource files.

  Hi, I'm trying to rewrite the url: https://mydomain/phone-append to https://mydomain/Service/PhoneAppend using the following rule: <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Phone Append"> <match url="phone-append" /> <action type="Rewrite" url="/Services/Index" appendQueryString="true" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> The rule works fine if the rewrite url is /Services but when I change it to /Services/PhoneAppend I get a page not found error. • Error when trying to use PDO object

I'm now trying to port my website code over to using PDO, but I am getting an error when I try to use the PDO object that I create. I'm using a CMS on my website, and it makes building page output kind of complicated, but I've tried to draw the structure of what is being called below: index.php -class myClass defined --method myFunction defined (it gets called on pageload & returns the page output) ---include file1.php ----require_once('mysql_connect.php') (creates pdo object) ----*I can use the pdo object here successfully* ----require_once('file2.php') -----require_once('mysql_connect.php') -----function myFunction2 defined ------*trying to use the pdo object here results in the error* The error I'm getting is: Fatal error: Call to a member function prepare() on a non-object in /home/rgcpanel/public_html/account/account_functions.php on line 147 Any idea what's going on?

• CALayer rotation on Y axis ignores z position

  Hi, i have some CALayers one on top of the other with different z-values. the z-values are sequential (1,2,3 ...). i wrote some code that changes the y-rotation of a CALayer when i click on it. the y-rotations changes to -30.f the problem is that when i click on a CALayer it rotates and goes behind the CALayers that are actually beneath it (by z-value ordering). i understand that changing the y-rotation by -30.f actually takes the CALayer back in a sense. but shouldn't it consider the z-value as the index of the CALayer in the container and make sure it stays on top of lower z-values ?

• Sphinx non-fulltext, integer only search

  Hello guys, I've got a few tables that literally only hold integers, no "words" and for some reason Sphinx is unable to hold this data in it's library. Just returns "0 bytes" errors for these indexes. Is it possible to do this? If so, how? • Modifying all HTTP requests on iPhoneOS with MobileSubstrate?

  I want to write a MobileSubstrate (http://www.iphonedevwiki.net/index.php/MobileSubstrate) addon that takes every HTTP request and modifies the URL. (The reason is very complicated and would take a while to explain, so just trust me that there's not an alternative). Basically, I need to know what's the best Objective-C message or C function that I should overwrite to intercept any HTTP request, modify the URL, and send the request back to the original function (this shouldn't be just the first request sent by an application, but any redirects too). I think it may be in NSURL or CFNetwork, but am not sure where exactly. This function should, when replaced, work with any apps and the OS itself.

• CakePHP 1.3 Plugin Shortcut Route

  Hi, I searched a lot around the web but I couldn't find any specific sollution to this. In CakePHP 1.3, different from 1.2, if you had a controller inside a plugin, and both had the same name, you could access through "<plugin>/<action>", and it would call the 'default' controller. But in 1.3, according to this: http://cakeqs.org/eng/questions/view/setting_up_magic_routes_for_plugins_in_cakephp_1_3 It was removed, and only the 'index' action in the default plugin controller can be accessed this way. I thought about adding extra code in my routes.php file, and loop through all the plugins in my app, making such routes for every action in the controllers named after the plugin, but it doesn't seem like it's the right thing to do... any other suggestions to make this work in 1.3? or at least some very specific code documentation of this particular change? I've already read something in the 1.3.0-RC4 annoucement, but it was not clear enough.. thanks

• How to include css in a hmvc setup in codeigniter

  I have setup the combination Codeigniter + HMVC + Twitter Bootstrap using this tutorial. I have created two modules named app and session. The app module contains the twitter bootstrap sample. When I click on About link, a new login page is displayed which is the session module configured using <?php echo Modules::run('session/session/index'); ?> The problem I am facing is that when I include the twitter bootstrap in both the views, the app module gets realigned and corousal doesnt work. How do I get the CSS to work with the session module ?
