• grunt angularjs doesn't process video files

  I've set up my grunt file to copy, minify, uglify, revved and all that. It works fine with all media I use, except that recently I added a video to an html file, but it's not being copied to /dist, nor is the html being updated with the versioned file (that is not being copied nor revved). Not sure what I'm missing. Here is the html fragment: <div class="col-xs-4"> <div class="row flowplayer"> <video autoplay> <source type="video/mp4" src="/videos/wedding_planners_bride_smallweb.mp4"> </video> </div> </div> What do I need to add to my gruntfile.js file to process /videos the same way /images are just working out of the box? • Edit and create nodes in a view?

  We are storing people's class attendance information to Drupal. We would like to show this in a grid/chart, where the first column of each row shows person's name, and rest of the columns (ca. 20) either a checkbox or "X" if the user attended a class, or otherwise an non-checked box or empty column: (dates here) Jack X XXX X X Jill XX XXX XX It should also be possible to edit the attendance information on the grid. Each attendance information is a node of its own. This functionality can probably mostly be achieved using views and editablefields, but there is one problem: if a person has not attended a specific class he/she will not have at all an attendace node for that day. What would be the easiest way to create an attendace node in those cases, so that it would be possible for the end user to edit the grid by just clicking on the checkbox or typing an 'X'?

• In a client-server relationship, should the server always rethrow the exception to the client?

  I have a set of web services (the server), and an app which consumes this (client). In this sort of relationship, should the server always throw exceptions (ie in the throw block, rethrow the caught exception), and the client catch this. Exceptions which the server can handle, it will deal with and not rethrow, but everything else will be thrown to the calling layer for further action (the consuming app can raise a msg box or whatever). Is this a good example of an exception that can be dealt with: A file cannot be written because the directory requires special privileges, so if this raises an exception, the file is written somewhere which does not require admin rights. • vb.net session variable passing "space" from one page to another

  i have 2 aspx webpages with vb.net code. On the first page, I have a text box, on first page that says "Enter Hobby", but its not a required textbox. So if the user clicks submit, it'll load up the second page. Now in the second page i have textbox "hobby" which has maxlength = 10. and in the vb.net code i have hobby.text = session("hobby"). if the user doesnt fill up hobby in first page, the session comes with 10 "spaces" since maxlength is 10. I tried hobby.text = TRIM(session("hobby"), but nothing happens. Any idea how i can lose the spaces if nothing is inputted?

• Problems debugging using Cygwin gdb in Eclipse CDT(Helios)

  I am trying to debug an application using Eclipse CDT and cygwin gdb and I am facing a problem if my code calls Sleep(), it looks like whenever a sleep is encountered in the code the debugger seems to go in an infinite loop(I meant it never terminates or hit a breakpoint after sleep). On pressing pause the code is stuck on one of the thread on sigint::interrupt. Even my debugger console windows throw these error in the console output: [New thread 5968.0x1f98] Error: dll starting at 0x774a0000 not found. Error: dll starting at 0x775c0000 not found. [New thread 5968.0x19e8] Any idea what are these errors about? It would be helpful if someone can help me out here as I am new to eclipse and I am used to using VS so it has made be lazy to be honest and expect things to work out of box. Here are more details if required Windows 7 x64 bit. Eclipse 3.6 Helios with CDT plug-in compiled from the CVS head. Cygwin latest from website, I think it is 1.71

  When someone posts a link to a web site in Facebook, it populates the link preview box with a photo and some text from the site. If someone posts a link to my site in Facebook, it is generally just get the site's domain name and one of the images that appears on the site. No text appears. I would like to be able to control what text and images appear in the link. Is there a specification that they use? Can I provide some metadata so Facebook will display what I want?

• Java/Swing: Problem with key listener

  I have a search dialog with a JTextField that's being used as a search box. When the user types something, it searches the DB, shows the result in a JTable and selects the first item in it. If the first result is what they were looking for, I want to let them quickly accept the dialog, by pressing Enter (while the JTextField is focused). So I added a KeyListener to the JTextField and it's working OK. Now the problem: The user opens can open the dialog by pressing Enter when a "Search" button on the dialog's parent frame is focused. The dialog is displayed and the JTextField gets the keyReleased event (from the Enter key that displayed it), so it shows up and closes. If the user holds Enter down, then the JTextField receives the keyPressed, keyTyped and keyReleased events. How can I fix without resorting to ugly workarounds? Platform is Windows 7 x64, btw. • Computer Invisible On Domain

  Good afternoon, I'm sorry that this isn't a programming question specifically, but stackoverflow has been great at answering questions in the past, so I thought I'd give it a shot. One of our Linux users attempted to install Cygwin on our Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller. Now it is no longer possible to browse the domain and see all of the computers. For example, \\my_domain_name will just bring up a username/password dialog box (that will not accept any username or password, even the domain administrator) and no computers will ever be listed. However, I can still connect to computers based on their name or IP address. So \\eridanus or \\192.168.1.85 still work to connect to the shared directories of computers on our network. Does anyone know where I can find these settings? and how I can fix this problem? Thanks, Giawa

  Hi, Im loading an entity 'Member' from its id in route data. [ListItemsForMembershipType(true)] public ActionResult Edit(Member someMember) {...} The attribute on the action loads the membership type list items for a dropdown box and sticks it in viewdata. This is fine for add forms, and search forms (it gets all active items) but I need the attribute to execute BASED ON THE VALUE someMember.MembershipTypeId, because its current value must always be present when loading the item (i.e. all active items, plus the one from the loaded record). So the question is, what is the standard pattern for this? How can my attribute accept the value or should I be loading the viewdata for the drop down in a controller supertype or during model binding or something else? It is in an attribute now because the code to set the viewdata would otherwise be duplicated in each usage in each action.

• Visual Studio 2008 Navigate Forewards/Backwards Buttons Don't Work As Expected

  I just installed VS2008 on my new Win7 box. I have Navigate Backwards and Navigate Forwards buttons on my tool bar. When I change between documents, I do NOT see a list drop down for each of the buttons like should be seen here after opening multiple documents and switching between their methods: How it should work. Instead, I just see the buttons without drop downs. I find that navigating forwards and backwards doesn't work as it should. I should be able to click in different lines of the code and press the nav back/forwards buttons to jump between lines. This is not the case. Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced. PS - I installed SP1 just to see and nothing changed.

• How few a files does it take to load a program on Linux?

  The (hypothetical for now) situation is the user of my system is going to be given a chunk of C code and needs my system to compile and run it in a chroot sandbox that is generated on the fly and I want to require the fewest files in the box as possible. I'm only willing to play with compiler and linker settings (e.g. static link everything I can expect to be able to find) and make some moderate restriction on what the code can expect use (e.g. they can't use arbitrary libs). The question is how simple can I get the sandbox. Clearly I need the executable, but what about an ELF loader and a .so for the system calls? Can I dump either of them and is there something else I'll need?

• CSS cross browser compatibility on Ubuntu

  Hello, I'm currently working in web development and my default desktop is Ubuntu and I'm kind of happy with the setup and applications I got going. But I need to test web pages for cross browser compatibility while still being on Ubuntu. I have gone through hell trying to get IE7 or IE8 (with wine) to run on ubuntu and when they finally worked they were very buggy and the graphics/scrolling was insanely slow. Of course there is the option of virtual box but again, too much GBytes just to run a small application! So to all the CSS gurus out there, how can I continue with my beloved Ubuntu and still deliver a good quality (tested) page. Thank you.

• PHP/Apache Deny folder access to user but not to script

  Hey all, So I have this php web app, and one of my folder contains some files that can be downloaded. I have a download script that modifies the headers, in order to always offer a download link. (instead of showing a picture for example, when you click on a link, a download box pops out) Right now, if you enter a url like: http://www.mywebsite.com/content/ You get the listing of all the downloadable files, and of course, you can just download them all, without going through the website interface. Personally, I don't think it's a problem, since I often use downthemall or other downloading tool, and this type of access is a great time saver.... But of course my company does not think so :-p They want people to use the interface in order to view the Ads... Would they be a way, maybe with a protected .htaccess, to leave the folder access to my download script, but deny access to the users...? I hope I am making sense and you know what I mean :) All help/remarks appreciated!

I have to hover over the iframe object before the fade will happen... not sure why? Any ideas?

• Verizon Fivespot firewall exceptions

  I have a Verizon Fivespot Wi-Fi router and am having issues connecting to the computer that uses it to get on the internet. I am able to connect to the Fivespot admin pages remotely and I am able to connect to the internet from the computer behind the Fivespot. I've tried asking this on superuser but have gotten nothing, I figure this is pertinent to programmers working on remote computers as well. There are two sections pertinent to this issue, Port Filtering And, Port Forwarding I've tried each individually and both together but cannot access anything through the router except for the admin page. I am trying to connect through SSH on Port 22 to an Ubuntu 10.04 box over wifi. I have called Verizon Tech Support but they were unhelpful, the person essentially read what it says on each screen without any elaboration. Any help is greatly appreciated!

  What would be the most concise/readable way in a velocity template to join multiple fields with a separator while leaving out empty or null Strings without adding excess separators? As an example we have a tooltip or appointments that goes like: Appointment ($number) [with $employee] [-] [$remarks] [-] [$roomToVisit] Where I used brackets to indicate optional data. When filled in it would normally show as Appointment (3) with John - ballroom - serve Java coffee When $remarks is empty but $roomToVisit is not, this becomes: Appointment (3) with John - ballroom When $remarks is "serve Java coffee" but $roomToVisit is empty we get: Appointment (3) with John - serve Java coffee When both are empty: Appointment (3) with John Bonus: also make the field prefix optional. When only $employee is empty we should get: Appointment (2) serve Java coffee - ballroom Ideally I would like the velocity template to look very similar to the first code box. If this is not possible, how would you achieve this with a minimum of distracting code tags? Similar ideas (first is much more verbose): Join with intelligent separators velocity: do something except in last loop iteration

• Asp.net control inside of fancybox modal is not "working"

  Your typical "It doesn't work" freak out going on over here. Any direction would help. I have a login control on my master page and I'm trying to only display it using jquery fancybox and then redirect the user once they are logged in. But any buttons or controls that should do "something" when pressed when I put inside the fancy box are not responding. If I keep the div visible and then use the control not using fancybox I get the expected result. What are my options?

  Hello, At the wordpress form, when you leave comment as guest, there's a website field to fill your web address. If we fill in that box, we can get the link by calling this function <?php echo get_comment_author_link(); ?> But if you are logged in and you don't add the website at your profile, when you leave comment. It doesn't have the link on your username. What I want is, if the logged-in user doesn't have the website, there will be the link which will be carry them to their profile page which is something like http://www.example.com?author=21 Is there any function that i can use out there ? However I could not find a way to test this scenario. I killed the JVM that was running the JBoss, but it did not restart the service. I need to make the JBoss service end abnormally so that I can ensure it is restarts again. In a nutsehll, I need a way to make JBoss end abnormally. Please help.

• Returning the html from .ajax call

  I'm getting undefined for some reason when I try to return the html via the callback function: function getDataFromUrl(urlWithContent) { // jQuery async request $.ajax( { url: urlWithContent, dataType: "html", success: function(data) { return $('.result').html(data); }, error: function(e) { alert('Error: ' + e); } }); } I know I'm getting data back, I see it in firebug in the response and also when I alert out the data, I see the entire page content come up in the alert box. When I call my function, I am doing the following: var divContent = getDataFromUrl(dialogDiv.attr("href")); if(divContent) dialogDiv.innerHTML = divContent; when I alert out the divContent (before the if statement) I'm getting undefined. Maybe I'm just going about this wrong on how I'm returning back the data? I also tried just return data; same thing, I get undefined after the call to this method when set to my variable.

• After .load() Reset Textbox with User Entered Value using JavaScript and jQuery

  My function below calls a partial view after a user enters a filter-by string into the text box '#DocId'. When the user is done typing, the partial view is displayed with filtered data. Since my textbox needs to be in the partial view, when user is done entering a filter-by string and is shown the filtered data, the textbox is reset and the user entered data is lost. How can I set the value of the textbox back to the user entered string after the partial view is displayed?
