    I want to have a login form on a charity website I am building (it's for a friend, and I'm learning on the go), and I want to know what languages/software should I learn to build databases for user logins and info? Note: it HAS to be secure and relatively simple to learn for someone with moderate programming experience.     Hi, I have read some comments in some forums saying that Linux programmers usually do not use any IDE. They prefer to use Vim and Emacs to do their programming. If I'm not mistaken, Vim and Emacs are just text editors, similar to notepad, but with syntax highlighting.   • What do you expect of an 'Experienced Developer'?

    I have been programming for about 10 years: 7 years C++, 3 years MFC, 2 JSP/Servlets, and the last year .NET (since there was some overlap the total won't add up). The problem is now that I am looking for a new job, I don't know what the latest thing is in C++ AND Java AND .NET AND MFC and somehow at interviews I am expected to KNOW everything about these topics because I have them listed on my resume.     Is there a way to include git commit hashes inside a file everytime I commit? I can only find out how to do this during archiving but I haven't been able to find out how to do this for every commit. I'm doing scientific programming with git as revision control, so this kind of functionality would be very helpful for reproducibility reasons (i.e., have the git hash automatically included in all result files and figures).
