• Replace or recode several different values by a single value in an Excel file

  Hi all, I have an Excel worksheet which contains data in several columns. For a specific column, I will need Excel to replace all values between, say 10 to 15, by the value 1 and values between 16 and 20 by the value 2 and so forth. I know how to do it for a single value; ie: I can replace value 10 by 1, 11 by 1 and so on. But this will be a tedious exercise. Are there some lines of codes that can execute this task?   I need to take an array of three lines in a text file and sort them base on the first line in Java. I also need to manipulate this as well and then print to screen. I have a test file that is formatted like this: 10 Michael Jackson 12 Richard Woolsey I need to input this from a text file and then rearrange it based on the number associated with the name. At that point, I need to use a random number generator and assign a variable based on the random number to each name. Then I need to print to screen the variable I added and the name in a different format. Here is an example of the output: 12: Woolsey, Richard Variable assigned 10: Jackson, Michael Other variable assigned I highly appreciate any help. I ask because I do not really know how to input the three lines as one variable and then manipulate later on in the program. Thanks, Cory

  Here is a simple working query without bind variables: select * from table1 where time_stamp sysdate - INTERVAL '1' day; where time_stamp is of type DATE. I should be able to input any number of days in the above query using bind variable. So I tried the following and does not seem to work: select * from table1 where time_stamp sysdate - INTERVAL :days day; I tried entering the numeric input both as 10 and '10',for eg. You get ORA-00933 error on 10g.

  Hi there, I am running a SSAS cube that stores facts of HTTP requests. The is a column "Time Taken" that stores the milliseconds a particular HTTP request took. Like... RequestID Time Taken -------------------------- 1 0 2 10 3 20 4 20 5 2000 I want to provide a report through Excel that shows the distribution of those timings by percentage of requests. A statement like "90% of all requests took less than 20millisecond". Analysis: 100% <2000 80% <20 60% <20 40% <10 20% <=0 I am pretty much lost what would be the right approach to design aggregations, calculations etc. to offer this analysis through Excel. Any ideas?   Hi, I have a latex document. I am using hyperref, makeidx and glossary packages for my document. Every thing is created fine; table of content (all references works nicely), glossary and index except that page numbers printed in the glossary and index are correct but they point to page numbers starting from the beginning of the document where initial 10 pages are in arabic numbers and then roman numbers from 1 starts. e.g. I have 10 pages for initial front matter (abstract, declaration, table of contents etc etc). After that, mainmatter begins and so does the page numbers in roman from 1. So on this page 1, I have an index entry "hello" Now in the index, it prints "hello 1" which is correct except that when one clicks on 1, then it goes to the right at the beginning of the document rather then numbered page 1. • Running a Java program with a .dll from Adobe AIR's native process

  I would like to be able to operate a scanner from my AIR application. Since there's no support for this natively, I'm trying to use the NativeProcess class to start a jar file that can run the scanner. The Java code is using the JTwain library to operate the scanner. The Java application runs fine by itself, and the AIR application can start and communicate with the Java application. The problem seems to be that any time I attempt to use a function from JTwain (which relies on the JTwain.dll), the application dies IF AIR STARTED IT. I'm not sure if there's some limit about referencing dll files from the native process or what.   Hi everyone, just curious if you know of any way to setup a drag boundary for a window? It would be nice to have these properties: Me.MinLeft = 10 Me.MinTop = 10 Me.MaxLeft = 150 Me.MaxTop = 150 Those are made up properties, btw, which would be nice to have. I know I could probably setup a timer to fire ever 10th of a second and check the left and top and then move it back if it's over. But it would be more elegant to have the window act like it hit a wall and can't go any farther, like moving to the edge of the screen or something similar. Edit: There seems to be some confusion somewhere, the point I'm trying to make is in the paragraph above, dragging, not re-sizing.

  I'm trying to connection from my Linux Mint 16 box to a CloudStack server. Building up the connection works (pings work across the tunnel). However 30 seconds later the IPsec tunnel gets terminated out of the blue. What could cause this consistent behaviour and how to fix it? The tunnel is setup using OpenSwan (U2.6.38/K(no kernel code presently loaded)) with the L2TP IPsec VPN manager from Werner Jaeger 1.0.9. • Box2d: Maximum possible linear velocity?

  I think I've configured Box2d to have some sort of maximum velocity for any body, but I'm not sure. I apply an impulse like (100000000, 100000000), and the body moves just as fast as (100, 100) - which is not that fast at all. My game is a top-down 2d.
