I want to sell my iPod Touch and buy an Andriod-based phone. However, there are some apps that I have paid for that are only from the iTunes app store where there is no good alternative on Andriod systems (eg. language learning apps with thousands of words, "references" applications).
Is there a program to emulate the apps that I have already purchased (the ones in my \iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications directory) and play them on my desktop?
so.. I esely can broadcast my web cam with VLC using command lines like this (I use Windows)
"C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv -I --dshow-vdev="Logitech QuickCam Express / Go" dshow:// --sout
When I paste command into CMD and hit enter it starts streaming (all is fine - I can play it)
How can I now for example add brightness or any other filter to that stream from CMD?
I have about 50 small videos (and a few large videos). I want to convert them all with the SAME settings. Its basically change audio to X with Y bitrate, change video to xvid. and do full processing on the video and audio. Then force the FPS to 15 since every program i tried (including virtualdub) thinks it 0.3 FPS.
How do i apply all of these settings to all of my files?
Hi,
is it possible? During presentation on some slide I click on some part of the slide and then the OS opens some external file with its associated program.
Thanks
Hi,
I use both Ubuntu and Windows XP. One thing that catches my attention for a long time is the high need for reboots in Windows. Most of the time when I install a program, Windows requests to reboot system. This happens considerably more frequently than Linux.
Why is it so?
Thanks!
Sometimes I forget to run a program under a screen session and can't stop it in the middle, and I know it's going to take long.
Is there a way to screen an already running process without restarting it?
I have a laptop I use for home and work. I like to keep them separate as best I can, and it's not very endearing to my clients to sit down in a meeting with them, crack open my start menu, and have WoW at the top of the list. Is there a way to "ban" a program from this list so that--no matter how much I use it--it will never pop in there again?
I'm using the log queries not using index but it logs all that use indexes but just more advanced or using IFs.
Is there a parser or a program out there that can analyze the log and give me a literal output of saying "table.column should be a index"
Thanks
I have Fallout Collection and I am trying to run it windowed because of the low resolution. When I change the mode to windowed via the .ini file, however, it starts the game with the window shoved into the upper left corner of my screen.
Clicking the title bar of the window just clicks back into the game program. So how can I move it to the center of my screen? I am using Windows 7 professional 64-bit.
I am looking for a solution for copying all the files from a specific directory on the hard drive, to a specific directory on a USB memory device, once this device is connected.
I have a program that downloads podcast episodes for me.
I would like these files to be automatically moved (or at least copied) to my mp3 player once I connect it to the computer.
I have both windows xp and linux machines, so a solution for any of them will work for me.
Hi, Anyone has a solution for that problem.
I need that because I use a web program that only works fine with internet explorer 7.
neither Firefox 3.5, neither Google Chrome works fine.
Or if you know other explorer with full compatibility that could be the answer.
thanks

I have been searching for a way, script, rain dance, to automate the deployment of several BESR 8.5 created images (v2i file extension). Does anyone have any experience on how to pull this off?
I have tried Ghost Solution Suite 2.5, but it doesn't seem to work with images that are password protected.
Any help, tool, 3rd party program, etc, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I had to reinstall Windows XP on my Aspire 5720 and now I'm reinstalling the drivers. There are two touchpad drivers and I don't know how to find out which is the right one for my system. I've run the program Acer provides that looks at your hardware, but it doesn't tell me which touchpad I have. The two drivers are Alps and Synaptics -- is there any way I can determine which one I need? Thanks!
I have an Ubuntu Server setup, where I'm trying to set up a daemon that wants to have access to port 8080. When I run the command, the error message says it's being used by another process. But which one, it doesn't say. How can I go about finding which program uses this port?
I have a VPN set up on a Symantec Gateway 320 and the status of the VPN is connected but the feature it provides is not working which means it is not actually connected..The only way to test it other than trying to use it in the program that utilizes it is to ping the remote subnet IP we use. mask numbers match, no settings have been changed it just stopped working.
When I hit Start-Run and type "Chrome", nothing happens (no new "chrome.exe" process is launched, not error, nothing).
When I hit Start (without "Run"), type Chrome and run it, it works.
How do I find what shortcut is run via Start-Run ? When I open a command prompt and write "Chrome.exe", it doesn't recognize it as an executable program.
I use subversion.com for my personal stuff and whenever a commit is made I get a detailed report of what exactly changed and who changed it. I've read a bit into hooks and understand that this is likely a hook but it seems like it's not default functionality included with Subversion. It sounds like it's something I'm going to have to program... am I correct with that conclusion or can I just "set it up" by entering a few emails?
Please tell me it's included :)
I have an AMD Radeon 5850 (about to be 2), and today I read that Rift is a member of Nvidia's "the way it's meant to be played" program. It was suggested that as such the developers would not be speaking with or working directly with AMD for optimization, and that it would be unlikely that Crossfire support would be added until the game's release.
Are any of these implications likely? Or does it just mean that Nvidia is working closely with the developers for optimization and marketing support?
i had made a program using C++(devC++) using a for loop.

i pasted that exe file in startup folder.

Hello,
I have a server I can ssh into, and I am also running Ubuntu. How do I edit this remote file using any program I have installed on my local Ubuntu, without copying it to local, editing it, and copying it back?
Thanks!
