    Hello, I'm using Telerik controls, specifically the numerical textbox where you can set a up-down arrow to increment/decrement values in a textbox. I am required to set the tab order to move to the next field but since there's a button on the up-down arrow, the browser will go through those buttons first then move to the next textbox field. How do you set the jquery to detect the next visible textbox/dropdown/etc input field and move to that on pressing the tab button instead of running through the buttons near it?

    I have a NIB that contains a UINavigationController which has a UIViewController. The UIViewController is being loaded externally from another nib. I am unable to set the view property thus I get the error: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: '-[UIViewController _loadViewFromNibNamed:bundle:] loaded the "LBRootViewController" nib but the view outlet was not set.' How can I set my view property correctly?

  • Const references when dereferencing iterator on set, starting from Visual Studio 2010

    Starting from Visual Studio 2010, iterating over a set seems to return an iterator that dereferences the data as 'const data' instead of non-const. The following code is an example of something that does compile on Visual Studio 2005, but not on 2010 (this is an artificial example, but clearly illustrates the problem we found on our own code). In this example, I have a class that stores a position together with a temperature. I define comparison operators (not all them, just enough to illustrate the problem) that only use the position, not the temperature. To check the correctness of the comparison operator, I add data points with the same position multiple times. When writing the contents of the set, I can clearly see there are only 3 points in the set. The for-loop loops over the set, and sets the temperature. Logically this is allowed, since the temperature is not used in the comparison operators. This code compiles correctly in Visual Studio 2005, but gives compilation errors in Visual Studio 2010 on the following line (in the for-loop): DataPoint &point = *it; The error given is that it can't assign a "const DataPoint" to a [non-const] "DataPoint &". It seems that you have no decent (= non-dirty) way of writing this code in VS2010 if you have a comparison operator that only compares parts of the data members. Possible solutions are: Adding a const-cast to the line where it gives an error Making temperature mutable and making setTemperature a const method But to me both solutions seem rather 'dirty'. It looks like the C++ standards committee overlooked this situation. Or not? What are clean solutions to solve this problem? Did some of you encounter this same problem and how did you solve it?   • iPhone: Activate UISlider and set its value to the location of the current touch programatically

    Is it possible to set an UISlider as first responder and set its current value to the location of the current touch programatically? The way my app is set up I have a UIView container that takes up the whole screen. Inside the container I have another UIView offscreen at the bottom edge (I'll call this bottomBar). Inside the bottomBar there is a UISlider element. Right now, when the user swipes along the bottom edge of the screen the bottomBar the slider it contains slide up. What I am trying to achieve is to activate the UISlider, and set the position of the slider (the value) to the position of the users touch. Is this possible? Could someone please point me in the right direction?

  • Set up linux box for secure local hosting a-z

    I am in the process of reinstalling the OS on a machine that will be used to host a couple of apps for our business. The apps will be local only; access from external clients will be via vpn only. The prior setup used a hosting control panel (Plesk) for most of the admin, and I was looking at using another similar piece of software for the reinstall - but I figured I should finally learn how it all works. I can do most of the things the software would do for me, but am unclear on the symbiosis of it all. This is all an attempt to further distance myself from the land of Configuration Programmer/Programmer, if at all possible. I can't find a full walkthrough anywhere for what I'm looking for, so I thought I'd put up this question, and if people can help me on the way I will edit this with the answers, and document my progress/pitfalls. Hopefully someday this will help someone down the line. The details: CentOS 5.5 x86_64 httpd: Apache/2.2.3 mysql: 5.0.77 (to be upgraded) php: 5.1 (to be upgraded) The requirements: SECURITY!! Secure file transfer Secure client access (SSL Certs and CA) Secure data storage Virtualhosts/multiple subdomains Local email would be nice, but not critical The Steps: Download latest CentOS DVD-iso (torrent worked great for me). Install CentOS: While going through the install, I checked the Server Components option thinking I was going to be using another Plesk-like admin. In hindsight, considering I've decided to try to go my own way, this probably wasn't the best idea. Basic config: Setup users, networking/ip address etc. Yum update/upgrade. Upgrade PHP/MySQL: To upgrade PHP and MySQL to the latest versions, I had to look to another repo outside CentOS. IUS looks great and I'm happy I found it! I tried browsing to it, and was met with permission denied errors. The logs only gave an obscure reference to what was going on: [Mon May 17 14:57:11 2010] [error] [client 192.168.1.100] (13)Permission denied: access to /index.html denied I tried chmod 777 et. al., but to no avail. Turns out, I needed to chmod+x the https directory and its' parent directories. chmod +x /home chmod +x /home/dev chmod +x /home/dev/https This solved that problem. DNS I'm handling DNS via our local Windows Server 2003 box. However, the CentOS documentation for BIND can be found here: http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/Deployment_Guide-en-US/ch-bind.html SSL To get SSL working, I changed the following in httpd.conf: NameVirtualHost 192.168.1.3:443 #make sure this line is in httpd.conf <VirtualHost 192.168.1.3:443> #change port to 443 ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot /home/dev/https ServerName dev.site.local ErrorLog /home/dev/logs/error_log TransferLog /home/dev/logs/access_log </VirtualHost> Unfortunately, I keep getting (Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long) errors when trying to access a page with SSL. As JamesHannah gracefully pointed out below, I had not set up the locations of the certs in httpd.conf, and thusly was getting the page thrown at the broswer as the cert making the browser balk. So first, I needed to set up a CA and make certificate files. I found a great (if old) walkthrough on the process here: http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/284. Here are the relevant steps I took from that article: mkdir /home/CA cd /home/CA/ mkdir newcerts private echo '01' > serial touch index.txt #this and the above command are for the database that will keep track of certs Create an openssl.cnf file in the /home/CA/ dir and edit it per the walkthrough linked above. (For reference, my finished openssl.cnf file looked like this: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=hnZDij4T) openssl req -new -x509 -extensions v3_ca -keyout private/cakey.pem -out cacert.pem -days 3650 -config ./openssl.cnf #this creates the cacert.pem which gets distributed and imported to the browser(s) Modified openssl.cnf again per walkthrough instructions. openssl req -new -nodes -out dev.req.pem -config ./openssl.cnf #generates certificate request, and key.pem which I renamed dev.key.pem. Modified openssl.cnf again per walkthrough instructions. openssl ca -out dev.cert.pem -config ./openssl.cnf -infiles dev.req.pem #create and sign certificate. cp dev.cert.pem /home/dev/certs/cert.pem cp dev.key.pem /home/certs/key.pem I updated httpd.conf to reflect the certs and turn SSLEngine on: NameVirtualHost 192.168.1.3:443 <VirtualHost 192.168.1.3:443> ServerAdmin [email protected] DocumentRoot /home/dev/https SSLEngine on SSLCertificateFile /home/dev/certs/cert.pem SSLCertificateKeyFile /home/dev/certs/key.pem ServerName dev.site.local ErrorLog /home/dev/logs/error_log TransferLog /home/dev/logs/access_log </VirtualHost> Put the CA cert.pem in a web-accessible place, and downloaded/imported it into my browser. Now I can visit https://dev.site.local with no errors or warnings. And this is where I'm at. I will keep editing this as I make progress. Any tips on how to configure SSL email would be appreciated.

    Is there any way to override the comparison function in a F# set? I don't see any set construction functions that take a IComparer<T> or comparison function: Set.ofSeq et al don't take a comparison function FSharpSet(IComparer<T> comparer, SetTree<T> tree) constructor is internal, because SetTree is internal and SetTreeModule.ofSeq<a>(IComparer<a> comparer, IEnumerable<a> c) is obviously internal too. My actual problem is that I have a set of ('a * 'a) and I want a comparison such that for example (1,3) = (3,1). I know I could wrap this in a type implementing IComparable<T>, but is there any way to avoid this?

  • How to set a global before PHPUnit's skeleton-test is run

    We set a global in our prepend file used to form the path for our require_once calls. For example: require_once($GLOBALS['root'].'/library/particleboard/JsonUtil.php'); Problem is, when I run PHPUnit's skeleton test builder, the prepend file is not run, so the global is never set. When I run cd /company/trunk/queue/process; phpunit --skeleton-test QueueProcessView PHPUnit tries to resolve a require_once in QueueProcessView, but since the $GLOBALS['root'] is never set, I get a fatal error when including the required file. For example, to PHPUnit, what should be require_once(/code/trunk/library/particleboard/JsonUtil.php) is resolved as require_once(/library/particleboard/JsonUtil.php) Notice the missing root. Does anyone know if the skeleton-test code has some way to call PHP file before it is run? In this I could set my GLOBAL['root'] in this file. Any other creative solutions would be appreciated.

  • SPARQL UNION - Result set incomplete

    I have two queries: query 1: SELECT DISTINCT ?o COUNT(?o) WHERE { ?s1 ?somep1 <predicate_one-uri>. ?s1 ?p ?o} query 2: SELECT DISTINCT ?o COUNT(?o) WHERE {?s2 ?somep2 <predicate_two-uri>.?s2 ?p ?o.} Each query gives me a different result set (as expected). I need to make a union of these two sets, from what I understand the query below should give me the set I want: SELECT DISTINCT ?o COUNT(?o) WHERE { { ?s1 ?somep1 <predicate_one-uri>.?s1 ?p1 ?o} UNION {?s2 ?somep2 <predicate_two-uri>.?s2 ?p2 ?o.} } The problem is that some results from query 1 are not in the union set and vice-versa for query 2. The union is not working properly as it does not incorporate all results of query 1 and query 2. Please advise on the proper structure of the sparql query for achieving the desired result set.     I would like to avoid reflection in an open source project I am developing. Here I have classes like the following. public class PurchaseOrder { @Property private Customer customer; @Property private String name; } I scan for the @Property annotation to determine what I can set and get from the PurchaseOrder reflectively. There are many such classes all using java.lang.reflect.Field.get() and java.lang.reflect.Field.set(). Ideally I would like to generate for each property an invoker like the following. public interface PropertyAccessor<S, V> { public void set(S source, V value); public V get(S source); } Now when I scan the class I can create a static inner class of PurchaseOrder like so. static class customer_Field implements PropertyAccessor<PurchaseOrder, Customer> { public void set(PurchaseOrder order, Customer customer) { order.customer = customer; } public Customer get(PurchaseOrder order) { return order.customer; } } With these I totally avoid the cost of reflection. I can now set and get from my instances with native performance. Can anyone tell me how I would do this. A code example would be great. I have searched the net for a good example but can find nothing like this. The ASM and Javasist examples are pretty poor also. The key here is that I have an interface that I can pass around. So I can have various implementations, perhaps one with Java Reflection as a default, one with ASM, and one with Javassist? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So what would you suggest to overcome this problem, you might say do not call if empty but I have a loop and any time fd set can hold 0 or more sockets. What is the best approach about this problem?     Hi! I need to use SET and ENUM types in my CakePHP 1.3 project. I found some advices, but all them are too old (2004-2006) and full of crazy methods, like modifying cake's core files. Also, CakePHP developers said that SET and ENUM types are not supported. Example: I have SET('alpha','beta') field, and I need to use this data as checkboxes in add & edit actions. Is there any way to add normal support (Form helpers etc.) of SET and ENUM fields?

Any ideas?

    Am I missing something painfully obvious? Or does just nobody in the world actually use java.util.BitSet? The following test fails: @Test public void testBitSet() throws Exception { BitSet b = new BitSet(); b.set(0, true); b.set(1, false); assertEquals(2, b.length()); } It's really unclear to me why I don't end up with a BitSet of length 2 and the value 10. I peeked at the source for java.util.BitSet, and on casual inspection it seems to fail to make sufficient distinction between a bit that's been set false and a bit that has never been set to any value... (Note that explicitly setting the size of the BitSet in the constructor has no effect, e.g.: BitSet b = new BitSet(2);

  • UIImageView dimensions not what I set in IB

    I set a UIImageView to 70x70 pixels. In the actual view they look 70px high and 30 wide. This is when there is no source UIImage set and with a background color so I can see it's layout. However, when I do set a UIImage to it the layout does not change, remains portrait. Is there something I am overlooking that affects the layout dimensions of a UIImage or UIImageView? Thanks.

  • IDENTITY_INSERT is set to off error

    I have a MVC web application with a table in the model that I would like to add to. I have the primary key set along with the other data fields, but every time I try to add to the table, I get the following error: "Cannot insert explicit value for identity column in table 'TABLE_NAME' when IDENTITY_INSERT is set to OFF." I'm not sure why this problem is coming up, I have the primary key set as the identity and it is also set to auto increment in the Visual Studio table designer. Is there any way I can adjust the IDENTITY_INSERT parameter in the table designer in Visual Studio?? Or is there some other issue that might be causing this.
