Chrome + jQuery hide/show inline

Everything works fine but at chrome when i want to show them ,it displays them as display:inline and not as display:inline-block ... The css class button_small have display:inline-block.... Firefox,IE 6+ works ok... Havent tested on safari but i hope that it would be ok... Why chrome kills inline-block? The solution was to put .css("display","inline-block") instead of .show()

I am porting Java code in .NET and I am stuck in the following lines that (behave unexpectedly in .NET). Java: Map<Set<State>, Set<State>> sets = new HashMap<Set<State>, Set<State>>(); Set<State> p = new HashSet<State>(); if (!sets.containsKey(p)) { ... } The equivalent .NET code could possibly be: IDictionary<HashSet<State>, HashSet<State>> sets = new Dictionary<HashSet<State>, HashSet<State>>(); HashSet<State> p = new HashSet<State>(); if (!sets.containsKey(p)) { /* (Add to a list). Always get here in .NET (??) */ } However the code comparison fails, the program think that "sets" never contain Key "p" and eventually results in OutOfMemoryException. Perhaps I am missing something, object equality and identity might be different between Java and .NET. I tried implementing IComparable and IEquatable in class State but the results were the same. Edit: What the code does is: If the sets does not contain key "p" (which is a HashSet) it is going to add "p" at the end of a LinkedList. I am building a website for a radio station and want to show which presenter is currently on air. I have built a web app that contains data on the presenter: name, photo, bio and start/end times for each weekday. <div id="presenter1"> <div class="slot"> <div id="sunday-off"> - </div> <div id="monday-afternoon">12:00 - 15:59</div> <div id="tuesday-afternoon">12:00 - 15:59</div> <div id="wednesday-afternoon">12:00 - 15:59</div> <div id="thursday-afternoon">12:00 - 15:59</div> <div id="friday-afternoon">12:00 - 15:59</div> <div id="saturday-morning">06:00 - 08:59</div> </div> </div> What I would like to do is use Javascript functions getDay() and getHours() + getMinutes() to show only the presenter that is scheduled to be on air based on the times specified in the app. The main part I am having difficulty with is with determining whether this presenter falls within the current time and then showing/hiding the div as necessary. Any help or guidance on how I can acheive this would be greatly appreciated.

jQuery Fancy - popup window doesn't fully expand

I am using jQuery Fancybox to display a number of Flash videos on a site and I am having trouble with the window not opening fully on the first click in Firefox. It works fine in other browsers. Setting initial state of a JSF component to invalid

Hi there I have a small JSF application where the user is required to enter some data about themselves. For each component on the page that has required="true" I want to show an icon depending if there is data in the field or not. My problem is that when the page is initially shown all fields are valid, even if they do not have any data in them. So my question is how I can set a component to be invalid based on if there is data in the field or not? After a submit of the page (or after the component loses focus) the icon is shown properly, it is only on the initial page load I have a problem. Zend_Router requirements mismatch

Hello you all: I have two routes that match a url with the same apparent pattern, the difference lies in the $actionRoute, this should only be matched if the variable :action on it equals 'myaction'. If I go to /en/mypage/whatever/myaction it goes as expected through $actionRoute. If I go to /en/mypage/whatever/blahblah it gets rejected by $actionRoute and matched by $genRoute. If I go to /en/mypage/whatever it should be matched by $genRoute but it gets matched by $actionRoute instead throwing and exception because the action noactionAction() does not exist. Hi, I'm trying to achieve the following functionality. Within a form I have multiple fields with the class name .inputField if one of these fields is selected then the div associated with that element should be shown on focus and hidden on blur. However, when I implement the code below on selecting the second element the class is applied to both. C# XML parsing with LINQ storing directly to a struct?

Say I have the following XML schema: <root> <version>2.0</version> <type>fiction</type> <chapters> <chapter>1</chapter> <title>blah blah</title> </chapter> <chapters> <chapter>2</chapter> <title>blah blah</title> </chapters> </root> Would it be possibly to parse the elements which I know will not be repeated in the XML and store them directly into the struct using LINQ? PHP memory exhausted when running through thousands of records

I'm running the following code over a set of 5,000 results. It's failing due to the memory being exhausted. foreach ($data as $key => $report) { $data[$key]['data'] = unserialize($report['serialized_values']); } I know I can up the memory limit, but I'd like to run this without a problem instead. I'm not going to be able to keep upping the memory forever. This is proving much more difficult than I anticipated; even trying to use page level events. Any suggestions? Deleting from 2 arrays of dictionaries

I have an array of dictionaries loaded from a plist (below) called arrayHistory. <plist version="1.0"> <array> <dict> <key>item</key> <string>1</string> <key>result</key> <string>8.1</string> <key>date</key> <date>2009-12-15T19:36:59Z</date> </dict> ... </array> </plist> I filter this array based on 'item' so that a second array, arrayHistoryDetail has the same structure as arrayHistory but only contains e.g. 'item's equal to '1'. These detail items are successfully displayed in a tableView. I then want to select an item from the tableView, and delete it from the tableView data source, arrayHistoryDetail (line 2 in the code below) - works, then I want to delete the item from the tableView itself (line 3 in the code below) - also works. My problem is that I also need to delete it from the original arrayHistory, so I tried the following: created a temporary dictionary as an ivar: NSMutableDictionary *tempDict; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary *tempDict; Then my thinking was to make a copy in line 1 and remove it from the original array in line 4. 1 tempDict = [arrayHistoryDetail objectAtIndex: indexPath.row]; 2 [arrayHistoryDetail removeObjectAtIndex: indexPath.row]; 3 [tableView deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:indexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; 4 [arrayHistory removeObject:tempDict]; Didn't work. Could someone please guide me in the right direction. I'm thinking that tempDict is a pointer and that removeObject needs a copy? I don't know. Thanks.

Is there any way to make a list of classes behave like a set in python? Basically, I'm working on a piece of software that does some involved string comparison, and I have a custom class for handling the strings. Therefore, there is an instance of the class for each string. As a result, I have a large list containing all these classes. I would like to be able to access them like list[key], where in this case, the key is a string the class is based off of. It seems to me that I sould be able to do this somewhat easily, by adding something like __cmp__ to the class, but either I'm being obtuse (likely), or Im missing someting in the docs. Basically, I want to be able to do something like this (Python prompt example): >>class a: ... def __init__(self, x): ... self.var = x ... >>> from test import a >>> cl = set([a("Hello"), a("World"), a("Pie")]) >>> print cl set([<test.a instance at 0x00C866C0>, <test.a instance at 0x00C866E8>, <test.a instance at 0x00C86710>]) >>> cl["World"] <test.a instance at 0x00C866E8> Thanks!

Why is my php script freezing?

What is causing my php code to freeze? So I'm working on a website with Doctrine as ORM and I get the following array back as a result: Array ( [0] => Array ( [c_cat_id] => 1 [c_title] => Programas e projetos [p_menu] => PBA BR 163 [p_page_id] => 1 ) [1] => Array ( [c_cat_id] => 1 [c_title] => Programas e projetos [p_menu] => Outros projetos [p_page_id] => 3 ) ) Is it possible to transform this array (in PHP) to something like this: Array ( [0] => Array ( [c_cat_id] => 1 [c_title] => Programas e projetos [pages] => Array ([p_page_id] => 1 [p_menu] => PBA BR 163, [p_page_id] => 3 [p_menu] => Outros projetos)) Thanks for your help, always eager to learn new ways of doing things and that's why I love StackOverflow ;)

Target a link if that link links to the current page?

this may be a stupid question as I can't seem to find an answer :P Is there a way with javascript/jQuery to Target all links on a page ONLY if they link to the current page? Say i've got a static sidebar on ALL pages, for intents and purposes: <ul id="sidebar"> <li><a href="/one">One</a></li> <li><a href="/two">Two</a></li> <li><a href="/three">Three</a></li> </ul> Notice the code for ALL of them is the same. Let's say I'm on "www.domain.com/two" - Is there a way to target <li><a href="#">Two</a></li> because it's linking to the current page? ***ANSWERED***** The guy deleted his answer - but I used it to create this - var linksToCurrentPage = $('a[href="' + window.location.href + '"]'); if (linksToCurrentPage) { $('a').addClass('currently-active'); }; which worked :)
