  • Error with a getJSON call in jquery with ASP.NET MVC

    - by Jedi Master Spooky
    I have the following code in html, I cannot get the Function call back of JSON get call. Down is the code in controller. Please Help <script type="text/javascript"> $().ready(function() { $("#CuitDespachante").typeWatch({ highlight: true, wait: 500, captureLength: -1, callback: finished }); }); function finished(txt) { $.getJSON('/Documentacion/GetDatosDespachantes', { cuitDespachante: txt }, function (data) { alert('You typed: '); } ); }; </script> public ActionResult GetDatosDespachantes(string cuitDespachante) { cuitDespachante = cuitDespachante.Replace("-", "").Replace("_", ""); DepositarioFielWS.DepositarioFielWebService ws = new DepositarioFielWS.DepositarioFielWebService(); var res = ws.GetDespachante(cuitDespachante); if (res.Licencia.CodigoLicencia == DepositarioFielWS.CodigoLicencia.Ok) { DepositarioFielWS.Despachante desp = new DepositarioFielWS.Despachante(); desp.Cuit = res.Despachante.Cuit; desp.Nombre = res.Despachante.Nombre; var respuesta =new { cuit = desp.Cuit, nombre = desp.Nombre }; return Json(respuesta); } else { var respuesta = new { cuit = cuitDespachante, nombre = "Imposible Realizar Consulta" }; return Json(respuesta); } }

  • Timeout Expired error Using LINQ

    - by Refracted Paladin
    I am going to sum up my problem first and then offer massive details and what I have already tried. Summary: I have an internal winform app that uses Linq 2 Sql to connect to a local SQL Express database. Each user has there own DB and the DB stay in sync through Merge Replication with a Central DB. All DB's are SQL 2005(sp2or3). We have been using this app for over 5 months now but recently our users are getting a Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding. Detailed: The strange part is they get that in two differnt locations(2 differnt LINQ Methods) and only the first time they fire in a given time period(~5mins). One LINQ method is pulling all records that match a FK ID and then Manipulating them to form a Heirarchy View for a TreeView. The second is pulling all records that match a FK ID and dumping them into a DataGridView. The only things I can find in common with the 2 are that the first IS an IEnumerable and the second converts itself from IQueryable - IEnumerable - DataTable... I looked at the query's in Profiler and they 'seemed' normal. They are not very complicated querys. They are only pulling back 10 - 90 records, from one table. Any thoughts, suggestions, hints whatever would be greatly appreciated. I am at my wit's end on this.... public IList<CaseNoteTreeItem> GetTreeViewDataAsList(int personID) { var myContext = MatrixDataContext.Create(); var caseNotesTree = from cn in myContext.tblCaseNotes where cn.PersonID == personID orderby cn.ContactDate descending, cn.InsertDate descending select new CaseNoteTreeItem { CaseNoteID = cn.CaseNoteID, NoteContactDate = Convert.ToDateTime(cn.ContactDate). ToShortDateString(), ParentNoteID = cn.ParentNote, InsertUser = cn.InsertUser, ContactDetailsPreview = cn.ContactDetails.Substring(0, 75) }; return caseNotesTree.ToList<CaseNoteTreeItem>(); } AND THIS ONE public static DataTable GetAllCNotes(int personID) { using (var context = MatrixDataContext.Create()) { var caseNotes = from cn in context.tblCaseNotes where cn.PersonID == personID orderby cn.ContactDate select new { cn.ContactDate, cn.ContactDetails, cn.TimeSpentUnits, cn.IsCaseLog, cn.IsPreEnrollment, cn.PresentAtContact, cn.InsertDate, cn.InsertUser, cn.CaseNoteID, cn.ParentNote }; return caseNotes.ToList().CopyLinqToDataTable(); } }

  • Error creating Rails DB using rake db:create

    - by Simon
    Hi- I'm attempting to get my first "hello world" rails example going using the rails' getting started guide on my OSX 10.6.3 box. When I go to execute the first rake db:create command (I'm using mysql) I get: simon@/Users/simon/source/rails/blog/config: rake db:create (in /Users/simon/source/rails/blog) Couldn't create database for {"reconnect"=>false, "encoding"=>"utf8", "username"=>"root", "adapter"=>"mysql", "database"=>"blog_development", "pool"=>5, "password"=>nil, "socket"=>"/opt/local/var/run/mysql5/mysqld.sock"}, charset: utf8, collation: utf8_unicode_ci (if you set the charset manually, make sure you have a matching collation) I found plenty of stackoverflow questions addressing this problem with the following advice: Verify that user and password are correct (I'm running w/ no password for root on my dev box) Verify that the socket is correct - I can cat the socket, so I assume it's correct Verify that the user can create a DB (As you can see root can connect and create a this DB no problem) simon@/Users/simon/source/rails/blog/config: mysql -uroot -hlocalhost Welcome to the MySQL monitor. Commands end with ; or \g. Your MySQL connection id is 16 Server version: 5.1.45 Source distribution Type 'help;' or '\h' for help. Type '\c' to clear the current input statement. mysql create database blog_development; Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec) Any idea on what might be going on here?

  • Webservice Follow Redirect False - Error 302 (JAXWS)

    - by frappuccino
    This is a link to a question I had asked two days back, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2573858/how-to-make-a-webservice-request-follow-a-redirect I am using jaxws library. The service forms the URL, and then internally creates the HTTPURLConnection. If I can grab hold of the connection I would be able to set the followRedirect to true. But not getting a handle of the same. Its urgent, any help would be highly appreciated.

  • WNetAddConnection2 in Windows 7 with Impersonation and no Error Code

    - by Adam Driscoll
    I'm doing some crazy impersonation stuff to get around UAC dialogs in Windows 7 so the user does not have to interact with the UI (I have the admin creds of course). I have a process running as the Administrator and elevated past UAC. The issue that I'm facing is that when I make a call to WNetAddConnection2, within this process, I am not getting a new mapped net drive. The function returns ERROR_SUCCESS but no net drive is visible. We have another method of adding network drives using 'subst' but this, again, returns successful does does not add a net drive. I have tried to use the default user (which is the Administrator because of process's security context) and I have tried using specific user credentials. I can map the drive just fine through Explorer. Of course the same functionality works fine in XP/2003. I haven't got around to testing on Vista because of issues with impersonation that are limiting my ability to spin up the process. Are there unique Windows 7 limits on this function? MSDN does not glean any that I can find. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • "One of the request inputs not valid" error when attempting to update Azure Table Storage

    - by sako73
    I am attempting to update an entry in Azure Table Storage. The function is: public void SaveBug(DaBug bug) { bug.PartitionKey = "bugs"; bug.Timestamp = DateTime.UtcNow; if (bug.RowKey == null || bug.RowKey == string.Empty) { bug.RowKey = Guid.NewGuid().ToString(); _context.AddObject(c_TableName, bug); } else { _context.AttachTo(c_TableName, bug); _context.UpdateObject(bug); } _context.SaveChanges(); } If it is a new entry (the "bug.RowKey == null" path), then it works fine. If it is an update to an existing entity, then the "AttachTo", and the "UpdateObject" calls work, but when it gets to "SaveChanges", it throws the "One of the request inputs not valid" exception. The class that is being stored is: [DataContract] [DataServiceKey("RowKey")] public class DaBug { [DataMember] public bool IsOpen { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Title { get; set; } [DataMember] public string Description { get; set; } [DataMember] public string SubmittedBy { get; set; } [DataMember] public DateTime SubmittedDate { get; set; } [DataMember] public string RowKey { get; set; } public DateTime Timestamp { get; set; } public string PartitionKey { get; set; } } Does anyone know what the problem is? Thanks for any help.

    function test(){ if(true){ var a = 5; } alert(a); } test(); I keep getting 'out of scope' errors in my JS code when I check with JsLint which make no sense to me.So I quickly created an example. Is there something actually wrong with this code piece, as the variable is eventually hoisted to the top of the function anyways.

    I have an app hosted by google app engine, and I am having trouble with authentication. When I login using my admin account and try to access the admin page or members pages, I just get a blank screen. I can login, and the members only menu shows when I login, but I just can't see any data from the members pages. I'm not really sure where I should start checking? My app is registered with my google apps account and I am using the only admin login that is there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Ruby String accent error: More than meet the eyes

    - by Fabiano PS
    I'm having a real trouble to get accents right, and I believe this may happen to most Latin languages, in my case, portuguese I have a string that come as parameter and I must get the first letter and upcase it! That should be trivial in ruby, but here is the catch: s1 = 'alow'; s1.size #=> 4 s2 = 'álow'; s2.size #=> 5 s1[0,1] #=> "a" s2[0,1] #=> "\303" s1[0,1].upcase #=> 'A' s2[0,1].upcase #=> '\303' !!! s1[0,1].upcase + s1[1,100] #=> "Alow" OK s2[0,1].upcase + s2[1,100] #=> "álow" NOT OK I'd like to make it generic, Any help? [EDIT] I found that Rails Strings can be cast to Multibytes as seen in class ../active_support/core_ext/string/multibyte.rb, just using: s2.mb_chars[0,1].upcase.to_s #=> "Á" Still, @nsdk approach is easier to use =)

  • Installing Fabric On Windows (Error No Module Called Readline)

    - by Jon
    I'm trying to use the Fabric 0.1.1 deploy tool (http://docs.fabfile.org/) on Windows and we're running into an issue with the readline module. I've been through various threads but can't seem to solve the issue. It's important because we can't deploy applications from Windows based machines. • 404 Error - HEAD request on default page

    - by Matt
    I am working on a project where we are about to go to internal release. So we are working to clean up the small problems before then. I was looking at our logs and noticed a high number of 404 errors. On further inspection it seems that all of them are related to HEAD requests. I haven't been able to find any substantive information about the preferred method for handling this in a standards compliant manner. Is there anything out there that can point out the proper way to handle that.

  • Telerik MVC Combobox AutoComplete error

    - by Roachmans
    I am using the Telerik autocomplete option In the header: <script type="text/javascript"> function onAutoCompleteDataBinding(e) { var autocomplete = $('#AutoComplete').data('tAutoComplete'); autocomplete.dataBind(["Product 1", "Product 2", "Product 3"]} </script> In the body of the View: <%=Html.Telerik().AutoComplete() .Name("AutoComplete") .ClientEvents(events => events.OnDataBinding("onAutoCompleteDataBinding")) %> http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-mvc/combobox/clientsidebinding I have managed to get this working on other applications and it is really quite simple. I have pasted this example on top to show that this one also bombs out on : this.trigger = new $t.list.trigger(this); Think i might have mixed up the .js files and now my auto complete is not working. Any sugesions which js files and in what order they must be for this to work right My Page master relevant parts: <body> <% Html.Telerik().ScriptRegistrar() .DefaultGroup(group => group .Add("MicrosoftAjax.js") .Add("MicrosoftMvcAjax.js") ); %> <div class="MainTableBody"> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="ContentPlaceHolder" runat="server" /> </div> <% Html.Telerik().ScriptRegistrar().Render(); %> </body> </html> In my web.config <add namespace="Telerik.Web.Mvc.UI" /> Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated

  • Error while dynamically loading mapi32.dll

    - by The_Fox
    Our application uses Simple MAPI to send e-mails. One of our clients has problems sending e-mail from a session on his terminal server. The mapi32.dll is loaded with a call to LoadLibrary which succeeds, but then our application tries to get the addresses of the functions MAPILogon, MAPILogOff, MAPISendMail, MAPIFreeBuffer and MAPIResolveName. The problem is that GetProcAddress fails for those functions with an ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED (code: 5) except for MAPIFreeBuffer. It looks like some sort of security thing. How can I fix this or should I use another method to send mail? • Error after second spec run with rspec and autospec

    - by Sean Chambers
    After installing rspec/ZenTest and running autospec, it runs my specs the first time as expected. After making a change to one of my specs and upon running the second time I get the following results: /usr/bin/ruby1.8 /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/bin/spec --autospec /home/schambers/Projects/notebook/spec/models/user_spec.rb -O spec/spec.opts /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/formatter/progress_bar_formatter.rb:17:in `flush': Broken pipe (Errno::EPIPE) from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/formatter/progress_bar_formatter.rb:17:in `example_passed' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/reporter.rb:136:in `example_passed' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/reporter.rb:136:in `each' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/reporter.rb:136:in `example_passed' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/reporter.rb:31:in `example_finished' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/example/example_methods.rb:55:in `execute' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/example/example_group_methods.rb:214:in `run_examples' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/example/example_group_methods.rb:212:in `each' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/example/example_group_methods.rb:212:in `run_examples' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/example/example_group_methods.rb:103:in `run' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/example_group_runner.rb:23:in `run' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/example_group_runner.rb:22:in `each' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/example_group_runner.rb:22:in `run' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/options.rb:152:in `run_examples' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/lib/spec/runner/command_line.rb:9:in `run' from /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rspec-1.3.0/bin/spec:5 Has anyone run into this or know what the heck is going on here?
