• Getting the errors for code in unopened .aspx pages

  Is there a way to check for errors in unopened *.ASPX pages. For example, if you change the name of a function Visual Studio will catch the error on the page and list it in the "Error List" only if the page is opened and being validated? I guess the question could be is there a validation option opposed to the compile option to check for errors? (Yes, i know code should go into the pre-compiled code-behind pages.) • Add all lines multiplied by another line in another table

  Hi, I hope I can explain this good enough. I have 3 tables. wo_parts, workorders and part2vendor. I am trying to get the cost price of all parts sold in a month. I have this script. $scoreCostQuery = "SELECT SUM(part2vendor.cost*wo_parts.qty) as total_score FROM part2vendor INNER JOIN wo_parts ON (wo_parts.pn=part2vendor.pn) WHERE workorder=$workorder"; What I am trying to do is each part is in wo_parts (under partnumber [pn]). The cost of that item is in part2vendor (under part number[pn]). I need each part price in part2vendor to be multiplied by the quantity sold in wo_parts. The way all 3 tie up is workorders.ident=wo_parts.workorder and part2vendor.pn=wo_parts.pn. I hope someone can assist. The above script does not give me the same total as when added by calculator.

• How to retrieve column total when rows are paginated?

  Hey guys I have a column "price" in a table and I used a pagination script to generate the data displayed. Now the pagination is working perfectly however I am trying to have a final row in my HTML table to show the total of all the price. So I wrote a script to do just that with a foreach loop and it sort of works where it does give me the total of all the price summed up together however it is the sum of all the rows, even the ones that are on following pages. How can I retrieve just the sum of the rows displayed within the pagination? Thank you! Here is the query.. • Selecting an item in an HTML SELECT list using keyboard doesnt trigger the CLICK event

  I have an HTML select list which, when an item is selected, must show different information beneath it. The onclick or JQuery change events are triggered when a select list item is selected by being clicked on (mouse), but not when the user uses key presses (keyboard). Any idea what event to watch in order to determine when the selected list item has changed? • Vimperator and scripts directory on Windows 7

  Just trying out Vimperator for the first time. For the life of me however, I can't figure out how to add a script (specifically for delicious bookmarks). Running Windows 7 x64. No plugin directory: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\dgj7o1s1.default\extensions\[email protected] No plugin directory in default location: C:\Users\username\vimperator If I create the "plugin" directory, the script is still not available. Any suggestions? I'm really liking Vimperator, but when you can't figure something out, you really CAN'T figure it out.

• How can I replicate the functionality of the Flash Builder's release tool in ant?

  I want to build an ant script that does exactly the same compilation actions on a Flash Builder 4 (Gumbo) project as the Project->Export Release Build... menu item does. My ant-fu is reasonably strong, that's not the issue, but rather I'm not sure exactly what that entry is doing. Some details: I'll be using the 3.x SDK (say, 3.2 for the sake of specificity) to build this. I'll be building on a Mac, and I can happily use ant, make, or some weird shell script stuff if that's the way you roll. Any useful optimizations you can suggest will be welcome. The project contains a few assets, MXML and actionscript source, and a couple of .swcs that are built into the project (not RSL'd) Can someone provide an ant build.xml or makefle that they use to build a release .swf file from a similar Flex project?

• Testing whether an event has happened after a period of time in jQuery

  I'm writing a script for a form-faces xforms product that is keyed off an event built into form faces. The event is called 'xforms-ready'. I have define 'startTime' as happening as soon as the document in 'ready'. What I want the script to do is warn the user that it is taking too long before the 'xforms-ready' happens, say if it's been 6 seconds since 'startTime'. I can easily do things when the 'xforms-ready' event happens using the code below: new EventListener(document.documentElement, "xforms-ready", "default", function() { var endTime = (new Date()).getTime(); } ); however the warning will want to happen before 'endTime' is defined. So I guess I want something that works like this: If 6 seconds has passed since startTime and endTime is not yet defined do X or possibly more efficiently: If 6 seconds has passed since startTime and 'xforms-ready' has not yet happened do X Can anyone suggest a way of doing this?

• Calling Stored Procedure from VB.net timeout error

  When calling a stored procedure from vb.net is there a default SQL timeout time if no timeout is specified in the connection string? I am unsure if there is a CommandTimeout specified in the connection string but am going through all the possibilites. Example if no results after 30 seconds (or more) throw: `System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.` SQL Profiler says that the script runs and ends in 30 seconds when the program timesout.. Tthe script runs without error in about 1 minute 45 seconds by itself in SQL server.

  I am really fond of python's capability to do things like this: if __name__ == '__main__': #setup testing code here #or setup a call a function with parameters and human format the output #etc... This is nice because I can treat a Python script file as something that can be called from the command line but it remains available for me to import its functions and classes into a separate python script file easily without triggering the default "run from the command line behavior". Does Powershell have a similar facility that I could exploit? And if it doesn't how should I be organizing my library of function files so that i can easily execute some of them while I am developing them?

• Using Array Variables For FILE_GET_CONTENTS

  I have a script all done now and everything has been debugged and it works, except for the last hurdle. This script grabs pertinent information on bank web sites, takes that data and uses it to populate a template and then it's all posted to Wordpress - BUT I get an error because the file_get_contents function fails taking each url from the Array. • How to enable/create elements on the fly

  Hi all I am using a combination of PHP, jQuery and Spry to serve a series of listboxes in which a user will select first the type of vehicle, then the make, then the model and finally the specific model. All my listboxes (SELECT) are working fine, and they update properly using the Spry elements. Each listbox is populated from a different Spry XML Dataset, and this is my problem. If I present all four listboxes to the user, the script has to go and fetch all four lots of XML to populate all four listboxes, taking several seconds. What I want to do is to create/enable the listboxes in order, so at the user selects from the first listbox, the second is created/enabled, when they select from the second, the third is created/enabled... and so on. Setting the disabled attribute is no good because the script has already fetched the XML before this is processed. Any ideas?? Si

• Fixing "Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction" for a 'stuck" Mysql table?

  From a script I sent a query like this thousands of times to my local database: update some_table set some_column = some_value I forgot to add the where part, so the same column was set to the same a value for all the rows in the table and this was done thousands of times and the column was indexed, so the corresponding index was probably updated too lots of times. I noticed something was wrong, because it took too long, so I killed the script. I even rebooted my computer since them, but something stuck in the table, because simple queries take a very long time to run and when I try dropping the relevant index it fails with this message: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction It's an innodb table, so stuck the transaction is probably implicit. How can I fix this table and remove the stuck transaction from it?
