• Usercontrol access javascript from a Content's Page's Master Page

  Hello all I have a problem. I have a masterpage that all of my Content pages inherit from. Within this masterpage I have a script tag pointing to the javascript file folder "~/Scripts/validation.js" On my content pages I use different usercontrols that require the use of many of the functions within the validation.js file however if I dont put the tag and the javascript functions within a contentholder on the contentpage the usercontrols do not see these functions and I get errors like "OnNameValidation" is not defined. Of course I can copy the javscript code into all of the pages but that's 30+ pages and a maintenance nightmare if I find a bug in one of the javscript functions. So the question (if you haven't already figured out from my long dissertation) is how can I declare the script tag with the path to the validation.js file so that contentpages and their usercontrols etc. can access the functions/code. • Unable to execute an oracle update statement within perl

  I have a problem in a perl script that I'm writing. When I run the script it hangs after prepare(). I've tried to run the update statement from SQL Developer and it works fine. I've also tried to print out all parameters and they are correct.   I'm posting a form with javascript and it seems to be changing a value that I've entered in. Html: <% using (Html.BeginForm("ChangeTime", "Cart", new { cartItemId = cartItem.CartItemID }, FormMethod.Post, null)) { %> <%= Html.TextBox("startTime")%> <input type="submit" value="Update" /> <% } %> JQuery: <script type="text/javascript"> $('#startTime').change(function() { $(this).parent('form').submit(); }); </script> When I put a time in the textbox (05/05/2010 06:08 am), the form is submitted, however the string as it comes through, is 05/05/2010 - with the time part removed. I see this in fiddler. If get rid of the javascript and click the button above, it goes through how it should. Why is JQuery changing my text?

• Decoding and caching json every 60 minutes

  Hi, How do I do this on a php webpage? I want to get and decode a json string and display the results as html on my page, however, I don't want it hotlinking back to the source. If I could write the decoded string to a txt file say weather.txt on the server and keep the html formatting and do it so that the page won't fetch the json script until 60 minutes has passed since the last time it was fetched regardless of how many times the page is opened during that 60 minute period and the weather.txt is viewed. All I can come up with is a simple script that hotlinks, everything else I have tried simply failed. $file = file_get_contents('http://sample.com/weather'); $out = (json_decode($file)); echo $out-mainText; Will appreciate any help with this.

• How do I send a file as an email attachment using Linux command line?

  I've created a script that runs every night on my Linux server that uses mysqldump to back up each of my MySQL databases to .sql files and packages them together as a compressed .tar file. The next step I want to accomplish is to send that tar file through email to a remote email server for safekeeping. I've been able to send the raw script in the body an email by piping the backup text file to mailx like so: $ cat mysqldbbackup.sql | mailx [email protected] cat echoes the backup file's text which is piped into the mailx program with the recipient's email address passed as an argument. While this accomplishes what I need, I think it could be one step better, Is there any way, using shell scripts or otherwise, to send the compressed .tar file to an outgoing email message as an attachment? This would beat having to deal with very long email messages which contain header data and often have word-wrapping issues etc.

  Hi! I would like to create a cache for my php pages on my site. I did find too many solutions but what I want is a script which can generate an HTML page from my database ex: I have a page for categories which grabs all the categories from the DB, so the script should be able to generate an HTML page of the sort: my-categories.html. then if I choose a category I should get a my-x-category.html page and so on and so forth for other categories and sub categories.   Hi, I hope I can explain this good enough. I have 3 tables. wo_parts, workorders and part2vendor. I am trying to get the cost price of all parts sold in a month. I have this script. $scoreCostQuery = "SELECT SUM(part2vendor.cost*wo_parts.qty) as total_score FROM part2vendor INNER JOIN wo_parts ON (wo_parts.pn=part2vendor.pn) WHERE workorder=$workorder"; What I am trying to do is each part is in wo_parts (under partnumber [pn]). The cost of that item is in part2vendor (under part number[pn]). I need each part price in part2vendor to be multiplied by the quantity sold in wo_parts. The way all 3 tie up is workorders.ident=wo_parts.workorder and part2vendor.pn=wo_parts.pn. I hope someone can assist. The above script does not give me the same total as when added by calculator.

  I am new to Java Script. I am using it, in combination with Java Server Faces. I want to add some points to define a Polilyne using GoogleMaps Apiv3. My problem is that I can't add a FOR statement to the javascript, because it dumps. If I comment this FOR loop, it also dumps. The dump I am getting is: "javax.servlet.ServletException: null source". No plugin directory: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\dgj7o1s1.default\extensions\[email protected] No plugin directory in default location: C:\Users\username\vimperator If I create the "plugin" directory, the script is still not available.   Is there a way to check for errors in unopened *.ASPX pages. For example, if you change the name of a function Visual Studio will catch the error on the page and list it in the "Error List" only if the page is opened and being validated?
