• Parsing HTML using HtmlParser

  My html has 20 or so rows of the following HTML pattern. So the below is considered a single instance of the pattern. Each instance of this pattern represents a product. Parser rowParser = new Parser(); rowParser.setInputHtml(page.getHtml()); // page object represents a html page rowParser.setEncoding("UTF-8"); NodeFilter productRowFilter = new AndFilter( new TagNameFilter("tr"), new HasChildFilter( new AndFilter( new TagNameFilter("td"), new HasAttributeFilter("class", "product"))) The above filter doesn't work, just showing you what I have so far. I need to somehow combine these filters, and use the last td to mark the end of the pattern i.e. the td with the colspan=6 and width=100% with child element hr. I have been struggling with this, and have resorted to Regex'ing but was told numerous times to NOT use regex for html parsing, so here I am! Your help is much appreciated!

• H12 timeout error on Heroku

  Can anyone shed some light on what's causing this timeout error on Heroku (at 2012-07-08T08:58:33+00:00)? The docs say that it's because of some long running process. I've set config.assets.initialize_on_precompile = false in config/application.rb. • ASP.NET site move to IIS7 results in gibberish characters in page output

  I have an ASP.NET site that was working fine running on Windows Server 2003 / IIS6. I moved it to Windows Server 2008 / IIS7 and the aspx page output now includes gibberish text. For example: p???? ????? The majority of the page renders properly, but there is gibberish here and there. I have checked the event logs and there is nothing. Any idea what's going on here? How can I fix this? I have noticed that this issue shows up when I include multiple Server.Execute statements in the aspx code: <% Server.Execute("/inc/top.inc"); %> <% Server.Execute("/inc/footer.inc"); %> The .inc files above contain just html. It appears that the files have to be of a significant length to cause the error.   I've currently got a pair of vSphere5 standard servers (physical, not VAs) managing about a hundred ESX 4.1 and 5 hosts in two different physical and logical datacenters. With our last purchase, we bought another vSphere license for the new vS server. I unmanaged all the ESX servers in one datacenter and added them to new vSphere server. Our previous single-vS-server layout used to be: -vSphere1 --Datacenter1 (where the physical ESX host was located) ---Folder ----ESX server1 --Datacenter2 ---Folder ----ESX server2 Now it looks like -vSphere1 --Datacenter1 ---Folder ----ESX server1 -vSphere2 (new vSphere server) --Datacenter2 ---Folder ----ESX server2 ESX server2 was removed from vSphere1's inventory and added to vSphere2's, so it is now managed by vSphere2. This is nice and all, as no vSphere <-- ESX management traffic leaves the physical datacenter, except for one huge oversight: when I go to clone a VM, the opposite vSphere server (and thus other datacenter) does not show up in the list on the first page of the wizard. Is this a bug, a license limitation, or is it just simply not possible to clone a VM from an ESX box managed by one vS server to another ESX box managed by a /different/ vS server?

  I'm a new user to GNU Screen. I've been using Bash for a very long time, and I want to give GNU Screen a try. As you know, GNU Screen uses 'C-a' (Control-A) as as the command character. Trouble is, this interferes with the Line Editing feature in Bash (and GNU Readline), because Control-A in Bash will Move to the start of the line." I know I can set the Command Character to another key sequence, like "^Q" or "``" (Backtick), but I have trouble finding another key sequence which isn't already in use (^Q is used by the terminal, backtick is used when writing shell scripts). It appears that the Command Character may only be one or two characters in length. Can I set the GNU Screen control character to be something like "Control-Shift-A"? (I can't use more then one hyperlink yet, so I cannot link to the Bash documentation)

I've gotten to the point where I can get the app to compile, but there are no helper functions for things like: button.setOnClickListener( () => { text.setText("test") }) (I'm talking about the closure there) I see lots of references to scala-android.jar, and have this file in my project, but I'm not sure what it does, or how to use it. I get the feeling it has these helper conversion functions, but I'm not sure. It double-underlines some keywords on every page. On mouse hover I get an ad overlay from http[colon][slash][slash]intext.nav-links.com[slash] Upon right-clicking one of the text-enhanced keywords and going to 'inspect element', i see that the text has been wrapped around with a CSS classname called adtext. It even shows the .adtext CSS descriptions on the right. How do i determine from WHICH particular extension is this CSS classname being injected into my pages?

• Drobo FS vs. MacBook Pro: Finder works, Drobo Dashboard doesn't

  Does anyone have any experience with the new Drobo FS, specifically using it from a MacBook Pro? My experience thus far is this: Set up the Drobo Dashboard software (hereinafter called simply 'Dashboard') on my WinXP machine, which is hard-wired to the network to do the data migration from my NAS-that's-being-replaced (a 250G SimpleShare which works well enough but I was always afraid of losing the one disk). The Dashboard seems to work ok, except that the DroboCopy function doesn't work at all. This is the backup solution, which I can configure, and if I launch it (e.g. to back up from the old NAS to the Drobo) it spins the NAS, seeking the drive all over hell and creation, until finally giving up an hour+ later with zero files copied. Selecting only a subset of the data yields the same effect albeit more quickly. On my Mac I installed the Dashboard software too, since most of my fiddling with the device will be from my couch in the living room. Finder connects to the box just fine, fwiw, but Dashboard just sits there, "waiting for connection." This is considerably more bothersome than the above paragraph, but I figured I'd give whatever information I have. Drobo is insisting that I send them this "Debug Log" file that their software generates. Does anyone know what's in it? It's encrypted and they won't tell me, which spooks me just a bit; not like I'm terribly concerned about privacy but I don't want to be sending personal information out to every clown who says they "need" it in order to help me. thanks a ton, -tom!

MyViewController used to have an IBOutlet called 'toolbar' that connected to a UIToolbar object in a nib. I decided I no longer needed the toolbar or the nib so I removed them from the project. But Xcode seems to still want to refer to 'toolbar'. Where might the reference to toolbar be if I no longer use a nib? I can synthesize a dummy 'toolbar' property to appease Xcode, but I want to avoid this kind of ugly hack.

  I have been told that mysql 5.5 has a significant performanance boost compared to 5.0 Our server handles alot of data (around 30 million records processed per 5-10 seconds) and requires every drop of performance boost we can give. Will it be beneficial if we upgrade from 5.0.23 to mysql 5.5 ? Also, we have lots of database indexes setup on the tables and i've been told that sometimes the indexes become corrupt after a version upgrade and they have to be rebuilt. Is this true ?

  I have a banner that rotates a series of three images. The active one has a display:block, while the inactive have display:none. I'm trying to match the class for the active image with an tag so that I can add an "active" class to the a tag. Having some trouble writing that function. It's adding all of the classes for each of the img elements, regardless of whether they're being displayed or not...   What is the difference between adding MIME types in these 2 different situations? When in IIS 6 manager... Right click on the computer name (local computer) properties mime types Right click on the "Web sites" folder properties http headers mime types I'm guessing that perhaps option 1 adds MIME types for FTP also? However if that were true i'd expect to be able to add MIME types specifically in the properties of FTP (and not just websites). thanks for your help.
