  • emacs AucTeX:Turn off auto-fill-mode inside a particular LaTeX environment

    - by Seamus
I like using auto-fill-mode for hard line wrapping. However, when I'm making a big tabular in a .tex file, I like using align-current to have the table look somewhat like it would when printed. The difficulty is that if I have a table that is longer than the line width, auto-fill-mode breaks it, and then align-current can't put things to rights and gets confused. Is there a way to tell emacs that when I'm between the \begin and \end tags of a particular kind of environment (in this case, tabular), don't word wrap...

    - by hsz
Hello ! I set a new PHP code template in Netbeans: /* @var $$${name}Table Model_${name}_Table */ $$${name}Table = Container::get('model')->get('${name}_Table'); and if I use as ${name} some value - shop - I have in output: /* @var $shopTable Model_shop_Table */ $shopTable = Container::get('model')->get('shop_Table'); Is it possible to add some modifier to the second and fourth ${name} so I will have it started with upper letter ? • How, in general, can web framework support REST style?

    - by juro
I would like to know, what are the ways a web framework may be suitable for designing a RESTful app, in general. One goal is for example to provide http request routing, so they are automatically sent to appropriate controllers. From architectural point of view, web framework based on MVC pattern are more suitable for REST. What other features of web frameworks are helpful by building apps satisfying the REST constraints? Is there any reason why you consider certain languages(python/java) or web frameworks(django/turbogears/jersey/restlets/...) as the most applicable ones?

  • Looping on a closed range

    - by AProgrammer
How would you fix this code? template <typename T> void closed_range(T begin, T end) { for (T i = begin; i <= end; ++i) { // do something } } T is constrained to be an integer type, can be the wider of such types and can be signed or unsigned begin can be numeric_limits<T>::min() end can be numeric_limits<T>::max() (in which case ++i will overflow in the above code) I've several ways, but none I really like.

  • Tell smarty to print block as is

    - by Juriy
Hello guys, I need to inline some javascript code into the Smarty template files and these {ldelim} {rdelim} things are killing me. Is there a way to tell smarty to ignore the markup for a block and just output it as is? Something similar to CDATA blocks in the xml? Just in case: here is how simple javascript looks now: $(function() {ldelim} $( "#slides" ).accessNews({ldelim} speed : "{$speed}", slideBy : 1 {rdelim}); {rdelim}); creepy heh?

  • How to do a join with ttwo tables ??

    - by bahamut100
HI, I try to translate this query : SELECT * FROM `reunion` , lieu WHERE reunion.lieu_reunion = lieu.id_lieu to propel query : $c=new Criteria(); $c->addJoin(ReunionPeer::LIEU_REUNION,LieuPeer::ID_LIEU, Criteria::LEFT_JOIN); $this->reunions = ReunionPeer::doSelect($c); But in my template, when I made a print_r($reunions), the field "ville" (from the table 'lieu') is not present. Why ??

  • Reference manager for Ubuntu

    - by user36511
I'm in dire need of a reference/citation manager in Ubuntu. The features I need the most are: 1) Metadata extraction/editing of pdf 2) Fetch metadata from online databases such as Google Scholar 3) Attach pdf or other file to reference 4) Tag references and recall those with a given tag or set of tags 5) Provide APA style citation for references (in integration with OOffice and/or Latex) Optional: Would be great if it can annotate/highlight pdfs. Mendeley probably does all of these, but it's behavior has driven me insane, especially when the number of references it's trying to handle is large. It constantly tries to sync with the web and creates duplicate references. I've tried JabRef, and while it looks like a decent piece of freeware, it doesn't do some of the above. I found others like Bibus, Referencer, etc. to be lacking or buggy or inactive development. Is there another option, or should I give up the search.

  • Creating content input form with custom theme (Drupal)

    - by AndrewSmith
I'm creating a site which I want to place content input form in custom themed template. I opted to do this because I wanted the whole site to be looked uniform. That said, I'm not sure as to what is the best approach to do this. Is it proper to invoke hook_insert/delete/update and hook_perm/hook_access by myself or is there anyway I can still use my custom theme and write a code in a way that drupal would take care of invoking appropriate hooks accordingly? Thanks in advance PS : I'm on drupal 6.x

When I run the example I get the following error: Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: No service implements the interface org.springframework.context.ApplicationContext. at org.apache.tapestry5.ioc.internal.RegistryImpl.getService(RegistryImpl.java:560) at org.apache.tapestry5.ioc.internal.ObjectLocatorImpl.getService(ObjectLocatorImpl.java:44) All the tapestry-* jars, including tapestry-spring-5.1.05.jar are in my classpath. Any clues as to what I'm missing?

  • overloading new/delete problem

    - by hidayat
This is my scenario, Im trying to overload new and delete globally. I have written my allocator class in a file called allocator.h. And what I am trying to achieve is that if a file is including this header file, my version of new and delete should be used. So in a header file "allocator.h" i have declared the two functions extern void* operator new(std::size_t size); extern void operator delete(void *p, std::size_t size); I the same header file I have a class that does all the allocator stuff, class SmallObjAllocator { ... }; I want to call this class from the new and delete functions and I would like the class to be static, so I have done this: template<unsigned dummy> struct My_SmallObjectAllocatorImpl { static SmallObjAllocator myAlloc; }; template<unsigned dummy> SmallObjAllocator My_SmallObjectAllocatorImpl<dummy>::myAlloc(DEFAULT_CHUNK_SIZE, MAX_OBJ_SIZE); typedef My_SmallObjectAllocatorImpl<0> My_SmallObjectAllocator; and in the cpp file it looks like this: allocator.cc void* operator new(std::size_t size) { std::cout << "using my new" << std::endl; if(size > MAX_OBJ_SIZE) return malloc(size); else return My_SmallObjectAllocator::myAlloc.allocate(size); } void operator delete(void *p, std::size_t size) { if(size > MAX_OBJ_SIZE) free(p); else My_SmallObjectAllocator::myAlloc.deallocate(p, size); } The problem is when I try to call the constructor for the class SmallObjAllocator which is a static object. For some reason the compiler are calling my overloaded function new when initializing it. So it then tries to use My_SmallObjectAllocator::myAlloc.deallocate(p, size); which is not defined so the program crashes. So why are the compiler calling new when I define a static object? and how can I solve it?

  • C++ R - tree implementation wanted

    - by Kotti
Hi, Does anyone know good and simple to use in production code R-tree (actually, any implementations - R*, R+ or PR-tree would be great)? It doesn't matter if it is a template or library implementation, but some implementations that google found look very disappointing... Thanks in advance.

  • How to use rails routes in external classes?

    - by wesgarrison
I'm using prawn to generate pdfs, set up ala http://wiki.github.com/sandal/prawn/using-prawn-in-rails I'd like to access my routes so I can generate links in my pdfs, but now I'm not in a template like I used to do with prawnto, so I don't have access to the named routes. class MyPdf < Prawn::Document def to_pdf text root_path end end How can I include my named routes?

  • Copy constructor bug

    - by user168715
    I'm writing a simple nD-vector class, but am encountering a strange bug. I've stripped out the class to the bare minimum that still reproduces the bug: #include <iostream> using namespace std; template<unsigned int size> class nvector { public: nvector() {data_ = new double[size];} ~nvector() {delete[] data_;} template<unsigned int size2> nvector(const nvector<size2> &other) { data_ = new double[size]; int i=0; for(; i<size && i < size2; i++) data_[i] = other[i]; for(; i<size; i++) data_[i] = 0; } double &operator[](int i) {return data_[i];} const double&operator[](int i) const {return data_[i];} private: const nvector<size> &operator=(const nvector<size> &other); //Intentionally unimplemented for now double *data_; }; int main() { nvector<2> vector2d; vector2d[0] = 1; vector2d[1] = 2; nvector<3> vector3d(vector2d); for(int i=0; i<3; i++) cout << vector3d[i] << " "; cout << endl; //Prints 1 2 0 nvector<3> other3d(vector3d); for(int i=0; i<3; i++) cout << other3d[i] << " "; cout << endl; //Prints 1 2 0 } //Segfault??? On the surface this seems to work fine, and both tests print out the correct values. However, at the end of main the program crashes with a segfault, which I've traced to nvector's destructor. At first I thought the (incorrect) default assignment operator was somehow being called, which is why I added the (currently) unimplemented explicit assignment operator to rule this possibility out. So my copy constructor must be buggy, but I'm having one of those days where I'm staring at extremely simple code and just can't see it. Do you guys have any ideas?

  • Why do we have reinterpret_cast in C++ when two chained static_cast can do it's job?

    - by Nawaz
Say I want to cast A* to char* and vice-versa, we have two choices (I mean, many of us think we've two choices, because both seems to work! Hence the confusion!): struct A { int age; char name[128]; }; A a; char *buffer = static_cast<char*>(static_cast<void*>(&a)); //choice 1 char *buffer = reinterpret_cast<char*>(&a); //choice 2 Both work fine. //convert back A *pA = static_cast<A*>(static_cast<void*>(buffer)); //choice 1 A *pA = reinterpret_cast<A*>(buffer); //choice 2 Even this works fine! So why do we have reinterpret_cast in C++ when two chained static_cast can do it's job? Some of you might think this topic is a duplicate of the previous topics such as listed at the bottom of this post, but it's not. Those topics discuss only theoretically, but none of them gives even a single example demonstrating why reintepret_cast is really needed, and two static_cast would surely fail. I agree, one static_cast would fail. But how about two? If the syntax of two chained static_cast looks cumbersome, then we can write a function template to make it more programmer-friendly: template<class To, class From> To any_cast(From v) { return static_cast<To>(static_cast<void*>(v)); } And then we can use this, as: char *buffer = any_cast<char*>(&a); //choice 1 char *buffer = reinterpret_cast<char*>(&a); //choice 2 //convert back A *pA = any_cast<A*>(buffer); //choice 1 A *pA = reinterpret_cast<A*>(buffer); //choice 2 Also, see this situation where any_cast can be useful: Proper casting for fstream read and write member functions. So my question basically is, Why do we have reinterpret_cast in C++? Please show me even a single example where two chained static_cast would surely fail to do the same job? Which cast to use; static_cast or reinterpret_cast? Cast from Void* to TYPE* : static_cast or reinterpret_cast

  • How Do I Delete Misnamed Tagged Directory Already Committed?

    - by Teno
I'm new to using the SVN system and having hard time figuring out how to delete files uploaded mistakenly. What I've done: Committed the trunk folder with right clicking on "SVN Commit" Right clicked and choose "TortoiseSVN" - "Branch/Tag" In the section of "To path:" in the "Branch/Tag - Tortoise" window, I typed /*mydirectory*/tags/*1.0.11* where 1.0.11 was supposed to be 1.0.1.1 After realizing 1.0.11 was a mistake, to remove the directory, I right clicked on the 1.0.11 folder in Windows and selected "TortoiseSVN" - "Delete" It deleted the folder in Windows but does not delete the folder in the remote server. According to this page,http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2092344/how-do-i-delete-a-wrongly-tagged-directory-in-svn, a command can be used and I tried to type svn in the command prompt window but it gives svn is not recognized as an internal or external command. This should be a very basic question but I could not find relevant pages. Some pages suggest to use revert but I've already committed 1.0.1.1 so I'm afraid doing revert causes the newest one to be deleted. Thanks for your information.
