• XSLT Stylesheet works with a vbs script, but not Perl

  I have a program that is essentially a search application, and it exists in both VBScript and Perl form (I'm trying to make an executable with a GUI). Currently the search application outputs an HTML file, and if a section of text in the HTML is longer than twelve lines then it hides anything after that and includes a clickable More... tag. This is done in XSLT and works with VBScript. I literally copied and pasted the stylesheet into the Perl program that I'm using and it does everything right except for the More... tag. Is there any reason why it would be working with the VBScript but not Perl?   The problem is, that if a property is changed during an f:ajax request and a binded panelGroup should be newly created depending on that changed value, the old value is used. This code will explain the problem. • How do I get ASP.NET login status controls to display a Log In option?

  I have the following log in status controls on the top of my master page. It displays the logged in as, manager log in, and Log out options. However, when a user is not logged in, there is nothing displayed there. When the user is NOT logged in, is there a way to display a "Login" text link that takes you to the log in page and then "disappears" once the user is logged in? Any help is appreciated. I hava a big problem, here is the deal : I've made an app which has an id, on an another machine i've submit the app to the app store, now i have another mac, and i have made the AppIds using my old mac (so i used an old cer to make the push certificates), next made my apns cert for my server and i have : unable to connect to ssl://gateway.... • How to make sql query dynamic?

  Hello, I am using this pagination class and was looking for a way to make the sql query more dynamic instead of having it hardcoded. I have a 3 <li> elements that I want to be filter buttons, meaning when a user clicks on one of these elements I want It to send the id so I can use it in a sql query. So for the $sql = "select * from explore where category='marketing'"; (as seen below). When the user clicks on the 'automotive' button it will change the category above to automotive.   In my tablayout example, i have created 3 tabs, as usually i set 3 activities for each tab. I can set image to title bar of activity, which adds the intent to each tab. Due to this, the image in the title bar is visible in all 3 tabs. My requirement is to set a different image to title bar for each activity. I followed this to set image to title bar.   Hi all, Say if I have an array and I want to check if an element is a part of that array, I can go ahead and use in_array( needle, haystack ) to determine the results. I am trying to see the PHP equivalent of this for my purpose. Now you might have an instant answer for me and you might be tempted to say "Use IN". Yes, I can use IN, but that's not fetching the desired results. Let me explain with an example: I have a column called "pets" in DB table. For a record, it has a value: Cat, dog, Camel (Yes, the column data is a comma separated value). Consider that this row has an id of 1. Now I have a form where I can enter the value in the form input and use that value check against the value in the DB. So say I enter the following comma separated value in the form input: CAT, camel (yes, CAT is uppercase & intentional as some users tend to enter it that way). Now when I enter the above info in the form input and submit, I can collect the POST'ed info and use the following query: $search = $_POST['pets']; $sql = "SELECT id FROM table WHERE pets IN ('$search') "; The above query is not fetching me the row that already exists in the DB (remember the record which has Cat, dog, Camel as the value for the pets column?). I am trying to get the records to act as a superset and the values from the form input as subsets. So in this case I am expecting the id value to show up as the values exist in the column, but this is not happending. Now say if I enter just CAT as the form input and perform the search, it should show me the ID 1 row. Now say if I enter just camel, cAT as the form input and perform the search, it should show me the ID 1 row. How can I achieve the above? Thank you.

• How can I distinguish between overlapping segments of text using HTML / jQuery?

  Easy question, it is valid to have overlapping spans in html? Example: <span id="1">This is <span id="2"> some text </span> some other text </span> ^ ^ End1 End2 Edit: I see now that the spans closing tag would be ambiguous about which one it is closing, and that first </span> would close span id = 2, not 1 like I intended. My problem is, I have a block of text which I'm trying to highlight based on what the mouse hovers over. This block of text is composed of sections, some of which "overlap" eachother. I'm trying to use some jQuery and HTML to present this document so when I hover over the sections, the appropriate one will be highlighted. So, in my example above, the first span is meant to be ended with the first span close tag, and the second span is meant to be ended to with the second span close tag. This is because of the semantics of my document, these are two overlapping segments. I want it so when I hover to the left, it will only highlight up to span id = 1 and the first span close, if I hover between the two "overlapping" spans, it will highlight both of them, and if I hover to the right, it will highlight from span id=2 to the last span close. However, I'm starting to think this isn't possible. Is there any way I can distinguish segments of text in HTML that allows overlapping? So my jQuery script that highlights when I hover over different spans will highlight the correct portions. Should I alternate between div's and spans? Would that disambiguate what I'm closing then and allow me the do the proper highlighting with my jQuery hover script? I'm wondering about more than 2 segments overlapping now. Sigh, I wish I could just be explicate about what I'm closing.

  Hi, I must have a little design in javascript. I have a menu with 5 entrys and only 1 HTML-page. So I will have a content-div and enabled and disabled different static content in it, each menu-entry is another content.   In my application, a company can have many employees and each employee may have have multiple email addresses. The database schema relates the tables like this: Company - CompanyEmployeeXref - Employee - EmployeeAddressXref - Email I am using Entity Framework and I want to create a LINQ query that returns the name of the company and a comma-separated list of it's employee's email addresses.
