  • Hibernate MappingException Unknown entity: $Proxy2

    - by slynn1324
    I'm using Hibernate annotations and have a VERY basic data object: import java.io.Serializable; import javax.persistence.Entity; import javax.persistence.Id; @Entity public class State implements Serializable { /** * */ private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L; @Id private String stateCode; private String stateFullName; public String getStateCode() { return stateCode; } public void setStateCode(String stateCode) { this.stateCode = stateCode; } public String getStateFullName() { return stateFullName; } public void setStateFullName(String stateFullName) { this.stateFullName = stateFullName; } } and am trying to run the following test case: public void testCreateState(){ Session s = HibernateUtil.getSessionFactory().getCurrentSession(); Transaction t = s.beginTransaction(); State state = new State(); state.setStateCode("NE"); state.setStateFullName("Nebraska"); s.save(s); t.commit(); } and get an org.hibernate.MappingException: Unknown entity: $Proxy2 at org.hibernate.impl.SessionFactoryImpl.getEntityPersister(SessionFactoryImpl.java:628) at org.hibernate.impl.SessionImpl.getEntityPersister(SessionImpl.java:1366) at org.hibernate.event.def.AbstractSaveEventListener.saveWithGeneratedId(AbstractSaveEventListener.java:121) .... I haven't been able to find anything referencing the $Proxy part of the error - and am at a loss.. Any pointers to what I'm missing would be greatly appreciated. hibernate.cfg.xml <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class">org.hsqldb.jdbcDriver</property> <property name="connection.url">jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://localhost/xdb</property> <property name="connection.username">sa</property> <property name="connection.password"></property> <property name="current_session_context_class">thread</property> <property name="dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.HSQLDialect</property> <property name="show_sql">true</property> <property name="hbm2ddl.auto">update</property> <property name="hibernate.transaction.factory_class">org.hibernate.transaction.JDBCTransactionFactory</property> <mapping class="com.test.domain.State"/> in HibernateUtil.java public static SessionFactory getSessionFactory(boolean testing ) { if ( sessionFactory == null ){ try { String configPath = HIBERNATE_CFG; AnnotationConfiguration config = new AnnotationConfiguration(); config.configure(configPath); sessionFactory = config.buildSessionFactory(); } catch (Exception e){ e.printStackTrace(); throw new ExceptionInInitializerError(e); } } return sessionFactory; }

  • Value isnt being saved in the strings

    - by Raptrex
    I'm trying to make a class where I put a key and value into the put method which puts the key in the k string array and value into the v string array, however it is not being saved in the array when I do get or display. For example: put(dan,30) get(dan) returns null display returns null null 10 times. Anyone know whats wrong? public class Memory { final int INITIAL_CAPACITY = 10; String[] k = new String[INITIAL_CAPACITY]; String[] v = new String[INITIAL_CAPACITY]; int count = 0; public Memory() { count = 0; } public int size() { return count; } public void put(String key, String value) { int a = 0; boolean found = false; for (int i = 0; i < k.length; i++) { //System.out.println("key is " + key.equals(k[i])); if (key.equalsIgnoreCase(k[i])) { v[i] = value; found = true; } if (found) break; a++; } //System.out.println(a == k.length); if (a == k.length); { k[count] = key; v[count] = value; //System.out.println(k[count] + " " + v[count]); count++; //System.out.println(count); } } public String get(String key) { String output = "a"; for(int i = 0; i < k.length; i++) { if(!key.equalsIgnoreCase(k[i])) { output = null; } else { output = v[i]; return output; } } return output; } public void clear() { for (int i = 0; i < k.length; i++) { k[i] = null; v[i] = null; } count = 0; } public void display() { for (int i = 0; i < k.length; i++) { System.out.println(k[i] + " " + v[i]); } } }

  • How can I use BeanUtils copyProperties to copy from boolean to Boolean?

    - by carrier
    BeanUtils copyProperties, out of the box, doesn't seem to handle copying from Boolean object properties to boolean primitive properties. I figured I could create and register a converter to handle this, but that just didn't seem to work. So, how can I use BeanUtils to copy the properties from class Source to class Destination where: public class Destination { private boolean property; public boolean isProperty() { return property; } public void setProperty(boolean property) { this.property = property; } } public class Source{ private Boolean property; public Boolean getProperty() { return property; } public void setProperty(Boolean property) { this.property = property; } }

  • How do I stop server control attributes being HTML encoded?

    - by Billious
    I'm trying to alter the onmouseover attribute of a HyperLink server control, but when I do so the JavaScript call I'm entering gets HTML encoded. For example: linkBooks.Attributes("onmouseover") = "changeImages(""books"", ""/images/common/books-dark.png""); return true;" Gets converted to: onmouseover="changeImages(&quot;books&quot;, &quot;/images/common/books-dark.png&quot;); return true;" How do I prevent this? The same code worked fine under VS2005 and .NET 2.0, I'm currently using VS2010RC and .NET 4.0.

  • Simple WCF question.

    - by bearrito
    So I am learning WCF and I have run across an issue that I believe has to do with Instance Control/State but I am not sure. Workflow is as follows, Basic client/server paradigm. The client calls a Method RetrieveBusinessObjects(criteria) and the server calls the datalayer and then puts them in an IList on the server side. It does not return this list to the calling Client. The client would then call a method say DisplayBusinessObjects() which would retrieve the IList from the Server, serialize them, bring them across the wire and display them. If i try this using the WCFTestClient it works. If I run it from an actual client then I get back an BusinessObject[] of size 0. Which to me indicates I had no objects to return. Is that a state mgmt issue or am I missing something?

  • How to populate GridView if Internet not available but images already cached to SD Card

    - by Sophie
    Hello I am writing an Application in which i am parsing JSON Images and then caching into SD Card. What I want to do ? I want to load images into GridView from JSON (by caching images into SD Card), and wanna populate GridView (no matter Internet available or not) once images already downloaded into SD Card. What I am getting ? I am able to cache images into SD Card, also to populate GridView, but not able to show images into GridView (if Internet not available) but images cached into SD Card @Override public View onCreateView(LayoutInflater inflater, ViewGroup container, Bundle savedInstanceState) { myGridView = inflater.inflate(R.layout.fragment_church_grid, container, false); if (isNetworkAvailable()) { new DownloadJSON().execute(); } else { Toast.makeText(getActivity(), "Internet not available !", Toast.LENGTH_LONG).show(); } return myGridView ; } private boolean isNetworkAvailable() { ConnectivityManager cm = (ConnectivityManager) getActivity().getSystemService(Context.CONNECTIVITY_SERVICE); NetworkInfo info = cm.getActiveNetworkInfo(); return (info != null); } // DownloadJSON AsyncTask private class DownloadJSON extends AsyncTask<Void, Void, Void> { @Override protected void onPreExecute() { super.onPreExecute(); // Create a progressdialog mProgressDialog = new ProgressDialog(getActivity()); // Set progressdialog title mProgressDialog.setTitle("Church Application"); // Set progressdialog message mProgressDialog.setMessage("Loading Images..."); mProgressDialog.setIndeterminate(false); // Show progressdialog mProgressDialog.show(); } @Override protected Void doInBackground(Void... params) { // Create an array arraylist = new ArrayList<HashMap<String, String>>(); // Retrieve JSON Objects from the given URL address jsonobject = JSONfunctions .getJSONfromURL("http://snapoodle.com/APIS/android/feed.php"); try { // Locate the array name in JSON jsonarray = jsonobject.getJSONArray("print"); for (int i = 0; i < jsonarray.length(); i++) { HashMap<String, String> map = new HashMap<String, String>(); jsonobject = jsonarray.getJSONObject(i); // Retrive JSON Objects map.put("saved_location", jsonobject.getString("saved_location")); // Set the JSON Objects into the array arraylist.add(map); } } catch (JSONException e) { Log.e("Error", e.getMessage()); e.printStackTrace(); } return null; } @Override protected void onPostExecute(Void args) { // Locate the listview in listview_main.xml listview = (GridView) shriRamView.findViewById(R.id.listview); // Pass the results into ListViewAdapter.java adapter = new ChurchImagesAdapter(getActivity(), arraylist); // Set the adapter to the ListView listview.setAdapter(adapter); // Close the progressdialog mProgressDialog.dismiss(); } } }

  • NSMutableSet addObject question

    - by Jacob Relkin
    I've got a class that wraps around an NSMutableSet object, and I have an instance method that adds objects (using the addObject: method) to the NSMutableSet. This works well, but I'm smelling a performance hitch because inside the method i'm explicitly calling containsObject: before adding the object to the set. Three part question: Do I need to be calling containsObject: before I add an object to the set? If so, then what actual method should I be using, containsObject or containsObjectIdenticalTo:? If that is not so, what contains method gets invoked under the hood of addObject:? This is important to me because if I pass an object to containsObject: it would return true, but if I pass it to containsObjectIdenticalTo: it would return false.

  • Problem updating through LINQtoSQL in MVC application using StructureMap, Repository Pattern and UoW

    - by matt
    I have an ASP MVC application using LINQ to SQL for data access. I am trying to use the Repository and Unit of Work patterns, with a service layer consuming the repositories and unit of work. I am experiencing a problem when attempting to perform updates on a particular repository. My application architecture is as follows: My service class: public class MyService { private IRepositoryA _RepositoryA; private IRepositoryB _RepositoryB; private IUnitOfWork _unitOfWork; public MyService(IRepositoryA ARepositoryA, IRepositoryB ARepositoryB, IUnitOfWork AUnitOfWork) { _unitOfWork = AUnitOfWork; _RepositoryA = ARepositoryA; _RepositoryB = ARepositoryB; } public PerformActionOnObject(Guid AID) { MyObject obj = _RepositoryA.GetRecords() .WithID(AID); obj.SomeProperty = "Changed to new value"; _RepositoryA.UpdateRecord(obj); _unitOfWork.Save(); } } Repository interface: public interface IRepositoryA { IQueryable<MyObject> GetRecords(); UpdateRecord(MyObject obj); } Repository LINQtoSQL implementation: public class LINQtoSQLRepositoryA : IRepositoryA { private MyDataContext _DBContext; public LINQtoSQLRepositoryA(IUnitOfWork AUnitOfWork) { _DBConext = AUnitOfWork as MyDataContext; } public IQueryable<MyObject> GetRecords() { return from records in _DBContext.MyTable select new MyObject { ID = records.ID, SomeProperty = records.SomeProperty } } public bool UpdateRecord(MyObject AObj) { MyTableRecord record = (from u in _DB.MyTable where u.ID == AObj.ID select u).SingleOrDefault(); if (record == null) { return false; } record.SomeProperty = AObj.SomePropery; return true; } } Unit of work interface: public interface IUnitOfWork { void Save(); } Unit of work implemented in data context extension. public partial class MyDataContext : DataContext, IUnitOfWork { public void Save() { SubmitChanges(); } } StructureMap registry: public class DataServiceRegistry : Registry { public DataServiceRegistry() { // Unit of work For<IUnitOfWork>() .HttpContextScoped() .TheDefault.Is.ConstructedBy(() => new MyDataContext()); // RepositoryA For<IRepositoryA>() .Singleton() .Use<LINQtoSQLRepositoryA>(); // RepositoryB For<IRepositoryB>() .Singleton() .Use<LINQtoSQLRepositoryB>(); } } My problem is that when I call PerformActionOnObject on my service object, the update never fires any SQL. I think this is because the datacontext in the UnitofWork object is different to the one in RepositoryA where the data is changed. So when the service calls Save() on it's IUnitOfWork, the underlying datacontext does not have any updated data so no update SQL is fired. Is there something I've done wrong in the StrutureMap registry setup? Or is there a more fundamental problem with the design? Many thanks.

  • How to binding to bit datatype in SQL to Booleans/CheckBoxes in ASP.NET MVC 2 with DataAnnotations

    - by nvtthang
    I've got problem with binding data type boolean to checkbox in MVC 2 data annotations Here's my code sample: label> Is Hot </label> <%=Html.CheckBoxFor(model => model.isHot, new {@class="input" })%> It always raise this error message below at (model=model.isHot). Cannot convert lambda expression to delegate type 'System.Func<Framework.Models.customer,bool>' because some of the return types in the block are not implicitly convertible to the delegate return type Cannot implicitly convert type 'bool?' to 'bool'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?) Please suggest me how can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

  • ASP.NET MVC NullReferenceException when inheriting from a Base Controller

    - by rockinthesixstring
    I've got a base controller that I inherit all of my Controllers from. It's job is to basically set caching and error handling as well as check for mobile browsers. My UI works fine, but my Unit Tests are failing. Imports System.Web.Mvc <HandleError()> _ <CompressFilter()> _ <OutputCache(Duration:=30, VaryByParam:="id")> _ Public Class BaseController : Inherits System.Web.Mvc.Controller Protected Overrides Function View(ByVal viewName As String, ByVal masterName As String, ByVal model As Object) As System.Web.Mvc.ViewResult Dim ismobile As Nullable(Of Boolean) = Request.Browser.IsMobileDevice If ismobile Then Return MyBase.View(viewName, "Mobile", model) Else Return MyBase.View(viewName, "Site", model) End If End Function End Class The error I'm getting in my Unit test is on Dim ismobile As Nullable(Of Boolean) = Request.Browser.IsMobileDevice saying Object Reference Not Set To An Instance Of An Object.

  • jQuery Plugin with $.getJSON Returning undefined?

    - by Oscar Godson
    Inside of a jQuery plugin I made I have: $.getJSON(base_url,{ agenda_id:defaults.id, action:defaults.action+defaults.type, output:defaults.output },function(json){ return json; }); And in a separate JS file (yes, it comes after the plugin): json = $('#agenda-live-preview').agenda({action:'get',type:'agenda',output:'json'}); alert(json[0].agenda_id); If i do the above $.getJSON and put an alert inside of the $.getJSON it works and returns "3", which is correct. If I do it like the json=$('#agenda-live-preview').agenda(...)... it returns undefined. My JSON is valid, and the json[0].agenda_id is correct also, I know it's in a callback, so how do I get the stuff inside of a callback in a function return?

  • problem adding a where clause to a T-sql LEFT OUTER JOIN query

    - by Nickson
    SELECT TOP (100) PERCENT dbo.EmployeeInfo.id, MIN(dbo.EmployeeInfo.EmpNo) AS EmpNo, SUM(dbo.LeaveApplications.DaysAuthorised) AS DaysTaken FROM dbo.EmployeeInfo LEFT OUTER JOIN dbo.LeaveApplications ON dbo.EmployeeInfo.id = dbo.LeaveApplications.EmployeeID WHERE (YEAR(dbo.LeaveApplications.ApplicationDate) = YEAR(GETDATE())) GROUP BY dbo.EmployeeInfo.id, dbo.EmployeeMaster.EmpNo ORDER BY DaysTaken DESC The basic functionality i want is to retrieve all records in table dbo.EmployeeInfo irrespective of whether a corresponding record exists in table dbo.LeaveApplications. If a row in EmployeeInfo has no related row in LeaveApplications, i want to return its SUM(dbo.LeaveApplications.DaysAuthorised) AS DaysTaken column as NULL or may be even put a 0. With the above query, if i remove the where condition, am able to achieve what i want, but problem is i also want to return related rows from LeaveApplication only if ApplicationDate is in the current year. Now with the where condition added, am only able to get rows from EmployeeInfo only if they have corresponding rows in LeaveApplications yet i just wanted rows all in EmployeeInfo

  • Hibernate/JPA - annotating bean methods vs fields

    - by Benju
    I have a simple question about usage of Hibernate. I keep seeing people using JPA annotations in one of two ways by annotating the fields of a class and also by annotating the get method on the corresponding beans. My question is as follows: Is there a difference between annotating fields and bean methods with JPA annoations such as @Id. example: @Entity public class User { **@ID** private int id; public int getId(){ return this.id; } public void setId(int id){ this.id=id; } } -----------OR----------- @Entity public class User { private int id; **@ID** public int getId(){ return this.id; } public void setId(int id){ this.id=id; } }

  • Redirecting the response from a filter throws an IllegalStateException

    - by Ritesh M Nayak
    I am writing a filter that will handle all authentication related tasks. My filter is a standard servlet filter as shown below @Override public void doFilter(ServletRequest req, ServletResponse res, FilterChain chain) throws IOException, ServletException { UserSession attribute = (UserSession)request.getSession().getAttribute("user_session_key"); if(attribute!=null && attribute.isValid()) { //proceed as usual, chain.doFilter(req, res); return; } else { //means the user is not authenticated, so we must redirect him/her to the login page ((HttpServletResponse)res).sendRedirect("loginpage"); return; } } But when I do this, I get an IllegalStateException thrown by Tomcat's ResponseFacade. How do I acheive this in a filter. I read in other SO threads that in TOmcat this is a problem as the response object is already commited. How do I get past this ?

  • Programatically WPF Fade In (via extension methods)

    - by Dinis Cruz
    I'm trying to write a simple (stand alone) C# extension method to do a Fade-In of a generic WPF UIElement, but the solutions (and code samples) that I found all contain a large number of moving parts (like setting up a story, etc...) For reference here is an example of the type of API method I would like to create. This code will rotate an UIElement according to the values provided (fromValue, toValue, duration and loop) public static T rotate<T>(this T uiElement, double fromValue, double toValue, int durationInSeconds, bool loopAnimation) where T : UIElement { return (T)uiElement.wpfInvoke( ()=>{ DoubleAnimation doubleAnimation = new DoubleAnimation(fromValue, toValue, new Duration(TimeSpan.FromSeconds(durationInSeconds))); RotateTransform rotateTransform = new RotateTransform(); uiElement.RenderTransform = rotateTransform; uiElement.RenderTransformOrigin = new System.Windows.Point(0.5, 0.5); if (loopAnimation) doubleAnimation.RepeatBehavior = RepeatBehavior.Forever; rotateTransform.BeginAnimation(RotateTransform.AngleProperty, doubleAnimation); return uiElement; }); }

LINQ to Entities only supports casting Entity Data Model primitive types. Why, any ideas? Thank you.

  • WPF multibound textblock not updating

    - by Superstringcheese
    I want to create a program which calculates how long it will take to repeat a process a certain number of times. I've scaled this down a lot for this example. So, I have some textboxes which are bound to properties in a class: Count: <TextBox x:Name="txtCount" Text="{Binding Count, Mode=TwoWay}" Width="50"/> Days: <TextBox x:Name="txtDays" Text="{Binding Days, Mode=TwoWay}" Width="50"/> and a textblock which is multibound like so: <TextBlock x:Name="tbkTotal"> <TextBlock.Text> <MultiBinding StringFormat="Days: {0}, Count: {1}"> <Binding Path="Days" /> /* This isn't updating */ <Binding Path="Count" /> </MultiBinding> </TextBlock.Text> </TextBlock> My DataContext is set in the Window1.xaml.cs file. public Window1() { InitializeComponent(); Sample sample = new Sample(); this.DataContext = sample; } I can update the multibound textblock with the Count property just fine, but the Days property always shows 0, even though the Days input accurately reflects changes. I believe that this is because my accessors are different for Days - namely, the Set method. This class is in a different file. public class Sample : INotifyPropertyChanged { private int _count; private TimeSpan _span; public int Count { get { return _count; } set { _count = value; NotifyPropertyChanged("Count"); /* Doesn't seem to be needed, actually */ } } public TimeSpan Span { get { return _span; } } /* The idea is to provide a property for Days, Hours, Minutes, etc. as conveniences to the inputter */ public double Days { get { return _span.Days; } set { TimeSpan ts = new TimeSpan(); double val = value > 0 ? value : 0; ts = TimeSpan.FromDays(val); _span.Add(ts); NotifyPropertyChanged("Span"); /* Here I can only get it to work if I notify that Span has changed - doesn't seem to be aware that the value behind Days has changed. */ } } private void NotifyPropertyChanged(string property) { if (null != this.PropertyChanged) { PropertyChanged(this, new PropertyChangedEventArgs(property)); } } public Sample() { _count = 0; _span = new TimeSpan(); } public event PropertyChangedEventHandler PropertyChanged; }

  • Best wrapper for simultaneous API requests?

    - by bluebit
    I am looking for the easiest, simplest way to access web APIs that return either JSON or XML, with concurrent requests. For example, I would like to call the twitter search API and return 5 pages of results at the same time (5 requests). The results should ideally be integrated and returned in one array of hashes. I have about 15 APIs that I will be using, and already have code to access them individually (using simple a NET HTTP request) and parse them, but I need to make these requests concurrent in the easiest way possible. Additionally, any error handling for JSON/XML parsing is a bonus.

The interesting part of the disassembly is 0x080555b9 : neg %eax 0x080555bb : push %eax 0x080555bc : fildl (%esp) 0x080555bf : lea 0x4(%esp),%esp 0x080555c3 : fldl 0xfffffff0(%ebp) 0x080555c6 : fld1 0x080555c8 : faddp %st,%st(1) 0x080555ca : fxch %st(1) 0x080555cc : fstpl 0x8(%esp) 0x080555d0 : fstpl (%esp) 0x080555d3 : call 0x8051ce0 0x080555d8 : fmull 0xfffffff8(%ebp) While single-stepping through this function, gdb says (rate is 0.02, delay is 2; you can see them on the stack): (gdb) si 0x080555c6 30 return value * pow(1.+rate, -delay); (gdb) info float R7: Valid 0x4004a6c28f5c28f5c000 +41.68999999999999773 R6: Valid 0x4004e15c28f5c28f6000 +56.34000000000000341 R5: Valid 0x4004dceb851eb851e800 +55.22999999999999687 R4: Valid 0xc0008000000000000000 -2 =R3: Valid 0x3ff9a3d70a3d70a3d800 +0.02000000000000000042 R2: Valid 0x4004ff147ae147ae1800 +63.77000000000000313 R1: Valid 0x4004e17ae147ae147800 +56.36999999999999744 R0: Valid 0x4004efb851eb851eb800 +59.92999999999999972 Status Word: 0x1861 IE PE SF TOP: 3 Control Word: 0x037f IM DM ZM OM UM PM PC: Extended Precision (64-bits) RC: Round to nearest Tag Word: 0x0000 Instruction Pointer: 0x73:0x080555c3 Operand Pointer: 0x7b:0xbff41d78 Opcode: 0xdd45 And after the fld1: (gdb) si 0x080555c8 30 return value * pow(1.+rate, -delay); (gdb) info float R7: Valid 0x4004a6c28f5c28f5c000 +41.68999999999999773 R6: Valid 0x4004e15c28f5c28f6000 +56.34000000000000341 R5: Valid 0x4004dceb851eb851e800 +55.22999999999999687 R4: Valid 0xc0008000000000000000 -2 R3: Valid 0x3ff9a3d70a3d70a3d800 +0.02000000000000000042 =R2: Special 0xffffc000000000000000 Real Indefinite (QNaN) R1: Valid 0x4004e17ae147ae147800 +56.36999999999999744 R0: Valid 0x4004efb851eb851eb800 +59.92999999999999972 Status Word: 0x1261 IE PE SF C1 TOP: 2 Control Word: 0x037f IM DM ZM OM UM PM PC: Extended Precision (64-bits) RC: Round to nearest Tag Word: 0x0020 Instruction Pointer: 0x73:0x080555c6 Operand Pointer: 0x7b:0xbff41d78 Opcode: 0xd9e8 After this, everything goes to hell. Things get grossly over or undervalued, so even if there were no other bugs in my freeciv AI attempt, it would choose all the wrong strategies. Like sending the whole army to the arctic. (Sigh, if only I were getting that far.) I must be missing something obvious, or getting blinded by something, because I can't believe that fld1 should ever possibly fail. Even less that it should fail only after a handful of passes through this function. On earlier passes the FPU correctly loads 1 into ST(0). The bytes at 0x080555c6 definitely encode fld1 - checked with x/... on the running process. What gives?

  • What is the best type to use for returning an image in my C# library project?

    - by Sergio Tapia
    I'm making a project that will scrap information about a movie and return all sorts of goodies. This will be a .dll that other developers will use in their projects. For example, if they want to set a pictureBox image to the movies poster, what would be the best way to handle my library returning the image? //Set the image to The Matrix poster. pictureBox1.Image = MyLibrary.GetPoster("The Matrix"); Should I return an Image? A Byte[] array?
