  I am usign mssql as my backend for program.when i am try to connect with database which not shows any type of errors,but it is not working.Which is not getting connection. My code is like mssql_connect('localhost', 'db_user', 'db_password') or die('Error'); The funny thing is which is not connecting and also which is not show message Error.Why it is?Anybody can help me...please.... How can we enable mssql configuration using php program(what is the script for that.not manually).How could we know the actual status of mssql in server? • What can I use for voluntary donations? (like Tipjoy)

  There used to be a site called Tipjoy that would let me put a small "donate" button on a webpage, and users could donate small amounts (like 25c) to me easily. I think it was a pretty neat idea, since I want to have a way for people to give me money, and I don't like advertisements, and I don't update regularly enough to sell subscriptions like bloggers. I just have some simple web services and open-source program and I want an easy way for people to drop me some change if they think they're useful. I've found out that Amazon used to have a similar service, but it's also been shut down. Is there any similar web service available today? If not, what's the closest thing to offer -- a Paypal link?

• problem with dmg file

  Hello, I have created a dmg file named try.dmg which contains an executable application myapplication.app together with a compiled library mylibrary.lib; I used Disk Utility in order to create the try.dmg file. I mounted the try.dmg file on my computer and I opened the application myapplication.app with no problems. Still, I tried to do the same thing on another Macintosh, with the same operating system Mac OS X, but I got some problems: I mounted the try.dmg file and then when I tried to open the application myapplication.app I got an error message, that the application has quit unexpectedly. Can someone explain me what is it happening? How come this try.dmg file can be mounted and the application can be opened with no problems on my computer with Mac OS X, but on another computer with Mac OS X, after I mount the try.dmg file I get errors when I try opening the application? • Downloading PKPass in an iOS custom app from my server

  I've setup a server which returns a PKPass. If I copy the URL to the browser, a pass is shown (both in my Mac and in my iPhone). The code I'm using to download the pass is the following one: NSData *data = [[NSData alloc] initWithContentsOfURL:[NSURL URLWithString:kAPIPass]]; if (nil != data) { PKPass *pass = [[PKPass alloc] initWithData:data error:nil]; PKAddPassesViewController *pkvc = [[PKAddPassesViewController alloc] initWithPass:pass]; pkvc.delegate = self; [self presentViewController:pkvc animated:YES completion:^{ // Do any cleanup here } ]; } Anyway, when I run this code I have the following error: * Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInternalInconsistencyException', reason: 'Only support RGBA or the White color space, this method is a hack.' I don't know what is the bug... The pass seems ok when I download it with Safari and even the code seems ok (there are just 3 simple rows...) Someone experienced with Passkit could help me? EDIT: the weird thing is that the exact same code is working in a fresh new project

• Git on windows, is it truly distributed?

  I am just starting out with git on the Windows platform. I have mysygit installed and bar a few hiccups I am 'git'ing away nicely. However, I must be missing something because I don't understand how two msysgit clients on different Windows machines can push and pull to each other directly? I am a complete linux noob but I think I can see that the ssh thing allows distribution on linux. However, the msysgit client appears just to be additional commands in the windows cmd prompt and there is no windows service element. If I try git clone 'MyMatesPc' who is going to be listening to this request at the other end? I can see that if you have a 'central' server running git on linux (or cygwin), you can share commits by pushing them onto the 'central' repo from one machine, then pulling them down onto another. This effectively means that you are having to use a central server. I don't have a problem with this, but wanted to check that I am not missing anything!

But each k value will not necessarily take-up just one bit. Shouldn't it be eight k values instead? "a million primes can be compressed to 33,334 bytes" I am not sure how this is true. We need to indicate two things: VALUE of k (can be arbitrarily large) STATE from one of the eight states (-13,-11,-7,-1,1,7,11,13) I am not following how 33,334 bytes was arrived at, but I can say one thing: as the prime numbers become larger and larger in value, we will need more space to store the value of k. How, then can we fix it at 33,334 bytes?

• Is it posible to Build & Run on TWO iPhones/iPods at once?

  When I connect two iPhones at the same time to my computer and Build and Run a project the app only installs and plays on one of the devices. Now, with the iPhone 3.0, that supports bluetooth peer-to-peer connectivity, to test a multiplayer project you have to install and run it on two devices at the same time. It would be very helpful to be able to do that with one click instead of: install on one phone, disconnect, connect the other, wait a 10 seconds to recognize the phone and install again and run... Is anyone aware of a method to do such a thing? Thanks

  how to restrict the page to be browsed in the other browser with the same urls with out logging asp.net & c#.net. i followed the following steps for example: i am logging in to a page developed in asp.net & c#.net. i am viewing a page.Let it be admin page. i am copying the url of the admin page. i am opening another browser window and pasting the url. i was able to see the same admin page in the other browser. the question is how to restrict the opening of admin page in other browser,if they try to open admin page in another browser while user is currently viewing the admin page then it should be redirected to the login page? how could this be accomplished? is there any thing could be done with "login" control tool of the .net frame work?

  I have created an application compiled with .NET 3.5. and used the FolderBrowserDialog object. When a button is pressed i execute this code: FolderBrowserDialog fbd = new FolderBrowserDialog (); fbd.ShowDialog(); A Folder dialog is showed but i can't see any folders. The only thing i see are the buttons OK & Cancel (and create new folder button when the ShowNewFolderButton properyty is set to true). When i try the exact same code on a different form everything is working fine. Any ideas??

Due to our preference to ASP.net and to the lack of any documentation from the previous developer, we do not want to spend much resources on developing in PHP. For implementing new features, we will create an Asp.net application that has the same look to the user. We want to develop a kind of 'coexisting' web application. Therefore we must share sessions between an PHP and an Asp.net webapplication project, because there is a usermanagement involved with an existing MySQL database. (e.g. link 'A' directs to the PHP website, and link 'B' directs to the asp.net application) How can we share the session between and PHP and an asp.net application? And does anyone have a hint for this 'coexisting' thing, that might be useful in development? Edit: IIS 6 would be our targeted server, altough IIS 7.5 would also be an option

  I have some textboxes on a webform that have ids like this: txtFinalDeadline_1 txtFinalDeadline_2 txtFinalDeadline_3 txtFinalDeadline_4 In my jQuery how do I find all of those in order to assign a value to them. Before I had the underscore and they were all named txtFinalDeadline I could do this and it worked. $(this).find("#txtFinalDeadline").val(formatDate); However, that was when they were all named the same thing. Now I have the _x after the name and I'm not sure how to go about assigning that same value as before to them. Thanks.

• Jquery simplemodal close existing modal and open a new one?

  Alright, so all modals already have an image at the top right to close them. How can I make additionally another anchor to do the same thing? I thought I could use the "closeClass" option which default to "simplemodal-close" and just add that class to an anchor, but it didn't have the desired effect. Is that what I'm supposed to do? Also, all modals will have a "contact us" link which should close it's own modal and open the contact modal. How can I wait until it is closed to open the next one? • fd.seek() IOError: [Errno 22] Invalid argument

  My Python Interpreter (v2.6.5) raises the above error in the following codepart: fd = open("some_filename", "r") fd.seek(-2, os.SEEK_END) #same happens if you exchange the second arg. w/ 2 data=fd.read(2); last call is fd.seek() Traceback (most recent call last): File "bot.py", line 250, in <module> fd.seek(iterator, os.SEEK_END); IOError: [Errno 22] Invalid argument The strange thing with this is that the exception occurs just when executing my entire code, not if only the specific part with the file opening. At the runtime of this part of code, the opened file definitely exists, disk is not full, the variable "iterator" contains a correct value like in the first codeblock. What could be my mistake? Lets say I create a square at 0,0 to 100, 100. I'd like if I resize that it always stays at the top left but right now if I resize it gets pushed up or down instead of staying at the top left. What should I modify? Thanks *I just realized what really would need to happen is for the context to resize, but i'm not sure how to do this without throwing out the OGL context and re initing it.

• Detecting Infinite recursion in Python or dynamic languages

  Recently I tried compiling program something like this with GCC: int f(int i){ if(i<0){ return 0;} return f(i-1); and it ran just fine. When I inspected the stack frames the compiler optimized the program to use only one frame, by just jumping back to the beginning of the function and only replacing the arguments to f. And - the compiler wasn't even running in optimized mode. Now, when I try the same thing in Python - I hit maximum recursion wall (or stack overflow). Is there way that a dynamic language like python can take advantage of these nice optimizations? Maybe it's possible to use a compiler instead of an interpreter to make this work? Just curious!

  I would like to convert any instances of a hashtag in a String into a linked URL: #hashtag - should have "#hashtag" linked. This is a #hashtag - should have "#hashtag" linked. This is a [url=http://www.mysite.com/#name]named anchor[/url] - should not be linked. This isn&#39;t a pretty way to use quotes - should not be linked. • How do quickly search through a .csv file in Python

  I'm reading a 6 million entry .csv file with Python, and I want to be able to search through this file for a particular entry. Are there any tricks to search the entire file? Should you read the whole thing into a dictionary or should you perform a search every time? I tried loading it into a dictionary but that took ages so I'm currently searching through the whole file every time which seems wasteful. Could I possibly utilize that the list is alphabetically ordered? (e.g. if the search word starts with "b" I only search from the line that includes the first word beginning with "b" to the line that includes the last word beginning with "b") I'm using import csv. (a side question: it is possible to make csv go to a specific line in the file? I want to make the program start at a random line) Edit: I already have a copy of the list as an .sql file as well, how could I implement that into Python?

• deselectRowAtIndexPath on an ABPeoplePickerNavigationController

  I'm showing an ABPeoplePickerNavigationController as a tab in my app. The user clicks a name, then email address, then I do something with the email address. Afterwards, I'd like for the person and property that they selected to fade out (not be highlighted). In a normal table, I'd call deselectRowAtIndexPath. But with the ABPeoplePickerNavCont I don't seem to have access to it's table, nor do I know what indexPath is selected, nor is there an api for deselecting the row. On most apps, ABPeoplePickerNavCont is used modally so it doesn't matter that the row is still highlighted 'cause the whole thing gets dismissed. But in my app it does not get dismissed (just like the contacts tab in the Phone app). Any ideas?

• Audio queue start failed

  Hi , i'm developing a project which has both audio streaming and playing audio from file. For audio streaming i'm using AudioStreamer and for playing from file i'm using avaudioplayer. Both streaming and playing works perfectly as long as the app is not interrupted by a phone call or sms. But when a call/sms comes after dismissing the call when i try to restart streaming i'm getting the error "Audio queue start failed" . This happens only when i have used avaudioplayer at least once and after that used streaming. When the avaudioplayer obeject is not created , in this scenario the there is no problem with resuming streaming after dismissing the call. My guess is that some thing is wrong with audioqueue. Help is very much appreciated.......

  Tycho is supposed to be a plug-in for maven for building eclipse plug-ins. I have found various blogs and other articles about it, but the contained links to Tycho are all dead or not accessible for the general public, for example: http://www.sonatype.com/people/2009/04/tycho-040-roadmap/ The only thing I found is a project proposal on the eclipse site, but it doesn't reference any downloads: http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/tycho/ I found a svn repository, but it seems to be extremely dated: http://svn.codehaus.org/m2eclipse/tycho/trunk/ So my question is: where do I get tycho from? Or is it dead and I should stop bothering? I doubt it's dead, since I found out there is a talk about it on JAX2010 ...

• Get two Jpanel expand in a JFrame asymmetrically.

  Hi there. I have a JFrame with two JPanels inside. One is set on west, other on east with BorderLayout. The thing is, it just shows two 10 pixel width, 100% JFrame height strips: What i want to do is to setsize each panel having as end result that the jpanel on the west be 80% of the jframe width, the remaining 20% to the one on the east. Is it possible? Should I use another layout? Thanks a lot.
