• Open a document from library Word opened but the contents is not loaded

  [Environment] Server Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 Client Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0 Microsoft Office 2003 Hello~ Today I received a call from one of my client and she said that she received an alert, "Ambiguous name detected: tempDDE" when attemping to open a doc from library. So I googled some and found solutions from MS and others and modified from Normal.dot to Normal1.dot. But after that, when I opened it again from library another problem happend and it is the doc contents is not loaded. When I click the link of doc, then the WIN?WORD.exe pops up but the contents of the document is not showing up (Silent). I tried some Open the doc file using Word Open Menu (Library Link) = Worked Get the url of the file and open it uing using Word Open Menu = Worked Add the url to Trusted Site = Done but not helped Any advices are welcomed. • Capture *all* display-characters in JavaScript?

  I was given an unusual request recently that I'm having the most difficult time addressing that involves capturing all display-characters when typed into a text box. The set up is as follows: I have a text box that has a maxlength of 10 characters. When the user attempts to type more than 10 characters, I need to notify the user that they're typing beyond the character count limit. The simplest solution would be to specify a maxlength of 11, test the length on every keyup, and truncate back down to 10 characters but this solution seems a bit kludgy. What I'd prefer to do is capture the character before keyup and, depending on whether or not it is a display-character, present the notification to the user and prevent the default action. A white-list would be challenging since we handle a lot of international data. I've played around with every combination of keydown, keypress, and keyup, reading event.keyCode, event.charCode, and event.which, but I can't find a single combination that works across all browsers. • Spring - How do you set Enum keys in a Map with annotations

  Hi all, I've an Enum class public enum MyEnum{ ABC; } than my 'Mick' class has this property private Map<MyEnum, OtherObj> myMap; I've this spring xml configuration. <util:map id="myMap"> <entry key="ABC" value-ref="myObj" /> </util:map> <bean id="mick" class="com.x.Mick"> <property name="myMap" ref="myMap" /> </bean> and this is fine. I'd like to replace this xml configuration with Spring annotations. Do you have any idea on how to autowire the map? The problem here is that if I switch from xml config to the @Autowired annotation (on the myMap attribute of the Mick class) Spring is throwing this exception nested exception is org.springframework.beans.FatalBeanException: Key type [class com.MyEnum] of map [java.util.Map] must be assignable to [java.lang.String] Spring is no more able to recognize the string ABC as a MyEnum.ABC object. Any idea? Thanks

• How can I get a distinct list of elements in a hierarchical query?

  I have a database table, with people identified by a name, a job and a city. I have a second table that contains a hierarchical representation of every job in the company in every city. Suppose I have 3 people in the people table: [name(PK),title,city] Jim, Salesman, Houston Jane, Associate Marketer, Chicago Bill, Cashier, New York And I have thousands of job type/location combinations in the job table, a sample of which follow. You can see the hierarchical relationship since parent_title is a foreign key to title: [title,city,pay,parent_title] Salesman, Houston, $50000, CEO Cashier, Houston, $25000 CEO, USA, $1000000 Associate Marketer, Chicago, $75000 Senior Marketer, Chicago, $125000 ..... The problem I'm having is that my Person table is a composite key, so I don't know how to structure the start with part of my query so that it starts with each of the three jobs in the cities I specified. I can execute three separate queries to get what I want, but this doesn't scale well. e.g.: select * from jobs start with city = (select city from people where name = 'Bill') and title = (select title from people where name = 'Bill') connect by prior parent_title = title UNION select * from jobs start with city = (select city from people where name = 'Jim') and title = (select title from people where name = 'Jim') connect by prior parent_title = title UNION select * from jobs start with city = (select city from people where name = 'Jane') and title = (select title from people where name = 'Jane') connect by prior parent_title = title How else can I get a distinct list (or I could wrap it with a distinct if not possible) of all the jobs which are above the three people I specified?

• How to bind a table in a dataset to a WPF datagrid in C# and XAML

  I have been searching to hours for something very simple: bind a WPF datagrid to a datatable in order to see the columns at design-time. I can’t get any of the examples to work for me. Here is the C# code to populate the datatable InfoWork inside the dataset info: info = new Info(); InfoTableAdapters.InfoWorkTableAdapter adapter = new InfoTableAdapters.InfoWorkTableAdapter(); adapter.Fill(info.InfoWork); The problem is no matter how I declare ‘info’ or ‘infoWork’ Visual Studio/XAML can’t find it. I have tried: <Window.Resources> <ObjectDataProvider x:Key="infoWork" ObjectType="{x:Type local:info}" /> </Window.Resources> I have also tried this example from wpf.codeplex, but XAML doesn’t even like the “local:” keyword! <Window.Resources> <local:info x:Key="infoWork"/> </Window.Resources> There are really two main questions here: 1) How do I declare the table InfoWork in C# so that XAML can see it? I tried declaring it Public in the window class that XAML exists in with no success. 2) How do I declare the windows resource in XAML, specifcally the datatable inside the dataset? Out of curiosity, is there a reason that ItemsSource just doesn't show up as a property that be set in the properties design window?

Why would it be giving me that problem?

  Hi, I posted a similar problem but it could not be resolved. I create a relational database of users and groups but for some reason I cannot insert test data with fixtures properly. See how the slash in the key indicates children, and how the order is nested accordingly? And items without orders are simply shifted to the bottom. But also how multiple 'same level' items with the same order are merely sorted by key?

  Hi, I'm working with App Engine(Java/JDO) and are trying to do some querying with lists. So I have the following class: @PersistenceCapable(identityType = IdentityType.APPLICATION, detachable="true") public class MyEntity { @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) Key key; @Persistent List<String> tags = new ArrayList<String>(); @Persistent String otherVar; } The following JDO-QL works for me: ( tags.contains('a') || tags.contains('b') || tags.contains('c') || tags.contains('d') ) && otherVar > 'a' && otherVar < 'z' This seem to return all results where tags has one or more strings with one or more of the given values and together with the inequality search on otherVar But the following do not work: (tags.contains('a') || tags.contains('_a')) && (tags.contains('b') || tags.contains('_b')) && otherVar > 'a' && otherVar < 'z' In this case I want all hits where there is at least one a (either a or _a) and one b (either b or _b) together with the inequality search as before. But the problem is that I also get back the results where there is a but no b, which is not what I want. Maybe I have missed something obvious, or done a coding error, or possibly there is a restriction on how you can write these queries in appengine, so any tips or help would be very welcome.   I read the DIY Intellisense article on code project, which was referenced from the Mimic Intellisense? question here on SO. I wanna do something similar, DIY intellisense, but for XPath not C#. The design approach used there makes sense to me: maintain a tree of terms, and when the "completion character" is pressed, in the case of C#, a dot, pop up the list of possible completions in a textfield. Then allow the user to select a term from the textfield either through typing, arrow keys, or double-click. How would you apply this to XPath autocompletion? should there be an autocomplete key? In XPath there is no obvious separator key like "dot" in C#. should the popup be triggered explicitly in some other way, let's say ctrl-. ? or should the parser try to autocomplete continuously? If I do the autocomplete continuously, how to scale it properly? There are 93 xpath functions, not counting overloads. I certainly don't want to popup a list of 93 choices. How do I decide when I've narrowed it enough to offer a useful lsit of possible completions? How to populate the tree of possible completions? For C#, it's easy: walk the type space via reflection. At a first level, the "syntax tree" for C# seems like a single tree, and the list of completions at any point depends on the graph of nodes you've traversed to that point. Typing System.Console. traverses to a certain node in that tree, and the list of completions is the set of child nodes available at that node in the tree. On the other hand, the xpath syntax seems like it is a "flatter" tree - function names, axis names, literals. Does this make sense? what have I not considered?

• Dojo load time extremely slow on iis

  I am currently working on a project that is using Dojo as the js framework. Its a rather rich ui and as such is using (and thus loading) a lot of different .js files for the dojo plug-ins When run on an apache server running on a mac, the files (all around 1k) are served very quickly (1 or 2 ms) and the page loads pretty fast (<5 seconds) When run on IIS on Win 7, the files are served at an unbelievably slow rate (150ms - 1s), thus causing the page to take up to 3 minutes to load. I have searched the internet to try to find a solution and have come up empty. Anyone have any ideas?

• Excel COM Add-In dialog interrupts script

  Hi all! I have written an Excel COM Add-In in C++ for automation of Excel with VBA. It contains an own dialog showing some general informations about the Add-In. Now i create a button in Excel that opens the dialog. Leaving the dialog with the escape key leads to an Excel message that the script is being interrupted instead of just closing the dialog. I could suppress the interruption message with: Application.EnableCancelKey = xlDisabled But that seems not to be the solution as the script can not be interrupted any more. Any arguments are passed straight through to the handler. However, I failed to find anywhere which explains what happens when no "timeout" time period is set. • SSAS Cube reprocessing fails - then succeeds if I try again

  So I'm basically brand new to the concept of BI, and I've inherited an existing ETL process that is a two step process: 1) Loads the data into a database that is only used by the cube processing 2) Starts off the SSAS cube processing against said database It seems pretty well isolated, but occasionally (once a week, sometimes twice) it will fail with the following exception: "Errors in the OLAP storage engine: The attribute key cannot be found" Now the interesting thing is that: 1) The dimension having the issue is not usually the same one (i.e. there's no single dimension that consistently has this failure) 2) The source table, when I inspect it, does actually contain the attribute key that it says could not be found And, most interestingly... 3) If I then immediately reprocess the dimensions and cubes manually through SSMS, they reprocess successfully and without incident. In both the aforementioned job and when I reprocess them through SSMS, I am using "ProcessFull", so it should be reprocessing them completely. Has anyone run into such an issue? I'm scratching my head about it... because if it was a genuine data integrity issue, reprocessing the cube again wouldn't fix it. What on earth could be happening? I've been tasked with finding out why this happens, but I can neither reproduce it consistently nor can I point to a data integrity problem as the root cause. Thanks for any input you can provide!

• Internet Explorer cannot 'fully' load ActiveX Control

  Context I am migrating an installer for an ActiveX control from Per-Machine to Per-User. I did this by programming the installer write to HKCU\Software\Classes instead of HKLM\Software\Classes. Problem On my machine (Windows 7 with UAC Enabled), the ActiveX control successfully loads. On the other windows 7 test machines (one with UAC enabled, one with UAC disabled), the control 'partially' loads. What is Partially? When a user visits a page with the ActiveX control, Internet Explorer displays a warning message in a yellow bar on the top of the window. If you click the 'Run add-on' button in the bar, the control becomes visible and begins to run, but Javascript code that tries to access properties of the control return the error: Library not registered. Differences between machines On the dev machine reads from HKCR\CLSID\<GUID> succeed while on the test machines these reads fail. Reads from HKCU succeed on both dev and test machines. Reads from HKLM fail on both test and dev machines. (I collected reads using Sysinternals Process Monitor) Strangely, the keys that Internet Explorer fails to read are clearly visible if I use regedit to view HKCR\CLSID\<GUID> on the test machines. Question What can I do to get the per-user control to load on the test machines? What could cause this difference between the dev machine and the test machines? Why can I see the key in HKCR with RegEdit but Internet Explorer cannot see the key? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

• Building a many-to-many db schema using only an unpredictable number of foreign keys

  Good afternoon (at least around here), I have a many-to-many relationship schema that I'm having trouble building. The main problem is that I'm only working with primary and foreign keys (no varchars or enums to simplify things) and the number of many-to-many relationships is not predictable and can increase at any time. I looked around at various questions and couldn't find something that directly addressed this issue. I split the problem in half, so I now have two one-to-many schemas. One is solved but the other is giving me fits. Let's assume table FOO is a standard, boring table that has a simple primary key. It's the one in the one-to-many relationship. Table BAR can relate to multiple keys of FOO. The number of related keys is not known beforehand. An example: From a query FOO returns ids 3, 4, 5. BAR needs a unique key that relates to 3, 4, 5 (though there could be any number of ids returned) The usual join table does not work: Table FOO_BAR primary_key | foo_id | bar_id | Since FOO returns 3 unique keys and here bar_id has a one-to-one relationship with foo_id. Having two join tables does not seem to work either, as it still can't map foo_ids 3, 4, 5 to a single bar_id. Table FOO_TO_BAR primary_key | foo_id | bar_to_foo_id | Table BAR_TO_FOO primary_key | foo_to_bar_id | bar_id | What am I doing wrong? Am I making things more complicated than they are?   How can I create automatic GUI using XML file in C#? Should I write a parser for the file and define a sort of "protocol" for the file's structure, and after the parse - create the GUI controls manually (respective to the data in the files)? Or is there a better way? Is there a tool, or a built-in code in the .NET environment which can do that for me automatically? (I am currently working with win forms, but I am willing to consider any other technology - as long as it's supported in MONO, since the code should be portable to Linux as well).

As I am the database admin i can pretty much change all the values from within without anyone knowing i did. Hence letting someone win that does not rightfully is the winner. Is it maybe an option to decrypt en encrypt the credits people have so i can't change them. Or is there maybe a company i can hire that checks my company for foul play.

  I have a problem in setting the chartHttpHandler in web.config for windows azure Initially I added a chartHttpHandler on my web.config file <remove name="ChartImageHandler"/> <add name="ChartImageHandler" preCondition="integratedMode" verb="GET,HEAD" path="ChartImg.axd" type="System.Web.UI.DataVisualization.Charting.ChartHttpHandler, System.Web.DataVisualization, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35"/> under system.webServer section Then I got an error stating Invalid temp directory in chart handler configuration [c:\TempImageFiles\]. Then I found that I should change in From <add key="ChartImageHandler" value="storage=file;timeout=20;dir=c:\TempImageFiles\;" /> To <add key="ChartImageHandler" value="storage=file;timeout=20;" /> I am not able to find this section in my web.config file. So I tried to add it under section but it gave me error that it is an invalid child Likewise, I tried adding it under section, it too gave the same error... So, I added sepeartely, Then I am not able to see anything.. The webpage is just blank... What should I have to do.. Can anyone tell me "how to solve it"

• Can't bind string containing @ char with mysqli_stmt_bind_param

  I have a problem with my database class. I have a method that takes one prepared statement and any number of parameters, binds them to the statement, executes the statement and formats the result into a multidimentional array. Everthing works fine until I try to include an email adress in one of the parameters. The email contains an @ character and that one seems to break everything. • Debugging android application on HTC Hero

  Is it possible to connect the ADB with an HTC Hero? I tried following the instructions for the Win USB driver but when I try to install the driver I just get a generic message saying that there was a problem installing the driver. Looking at the supported devices, the HTC Hero isn't listed. Is this even possible? As a note, I've tried removing drivers and then re-adding using USBDeview and I've also tried adding in the line ";HTC Hero %USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0FFE.DeviceDescRelease%=androidusb.Dev, USB\Vid_0bb4&Pid_0ffe&Rev_0100" in the inf file for the driver.
