• C# windows forms not updating in method

  Hi! Im trying to call some windows forms code (like setting label.visible = true in some event code, everything compiles ok, but form does not react to change! What could be the problem?   Sorry for the vague title, but I'm not sure what this is called. Say I add IDisposable to my class, Visual Studio can create the method stub for me. But it creates the stub like: void IDisposable.Dispose() I don't follow what this syntax is doing. Why do it like this instead of public void Dispose()? And with the first syntax, I couldn't work out how to call Dispose() from within my class (in my destructor).

  Forgive the beginner question, but say I have an array: a = [1,2,3] And a function somewhere; let's say it's an instance function: class Ilike def turtles(*args) puts args.inspect end end How do I invoke Ilike.turtles with a as if I were calling (Ilike.new).turtles(1,2,3). I'm familiar with send, but this doesn't seem to translate an array into an argument list. A parallel of what I'm looking for is the Javascript apply, which is equivalent to call but converts the array into an argument list.

  So I know that App Engine prevents working with images greater than 1 MB in size, but I'm getting a RequestTooLargeError when I call images.resize on an jpg that is 400K on disk. The dimensions of the jpg are 1600 x 1200, so is it that app engine can't handle resizing images over 1 megapixel, even if the image file itself is a compressed format that is smaller than 1 MB?
