I have to traverse a matrix and say how many "characteristic areas" of each type it has. A characteristic area is defined as a zone where elements of value n or n are adjacent. For example, given the matrix: 0 1 2 2 0 1 1 2 0 3 0 0 There's a single characteristic area of type 1 which is equal to the original matrix: 0 1 2 2 0 1 1 2 0 3 0 0 There are two characteristic areas of type 2: 0 0 2 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 2 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 0 0 And one characteristic area of type 3: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 0 0 So, for the function call: countAreas [[0,1,2,2],[0,1,1,2],[0,3,0,0]] The result should be [1,2,1] I haven't defined countAreas yet, I'm stuck with my visit function when it has no more possible squares in which to move it gets stuck and doesn't make the proper recursive call. I'm new to functional programming and I'm still scratching my head about how to implement a backtracking algorithm here. Prevent ListBox from focusing but leave ListBoxItem(s) focusable (wpf)

Here is what happens: I have a listbox with items. Listbox has focus. Some item (say, 5th) is selected (has a blue background), but has no 'border'. When I press 'Down' key, the focus moves from ListBox to the first ListBoxItem. (What I want is to make 6th item selected, regardless of the 'border') When I navigate using 'Tab', the Listbox never receives the focus again. But when the collection is emptied and filled again, ListBox itself gets focus, pressing 'Down' moves the focus to the item. How to prevent ListBox from gaining focus? P.S. listBox1.SelectedItem is my own class, I don't know how to make ListBoxItem out of it to .Focus() it. I put together an XSD and used JAXB to generate classes out of it. FBML is not rendered in Facebook App in iframe - please help

YUI Calendar: how does it load the Sam's Skin CSS?

I'm using YUI 2's calendar in YUI 3. How does it load Sam's skin CSS? I didn't manually include it (though it seems like I should so the user can download it in the one request I make to the combo loader for css). Strangely, I don't see it being downloaded nor do I see it in the JS files themselves. I must be overlooking it. Here is what I want: I want a control to put on a page, which other developers can place form elements inside of to display the entities that my control is searching. I have the Searching logic all working. The control builds custom search fields and performs searches based on declarative C# classes implementing my SearchSpec interface. How can I make it so that the C# Code Behind will have the controls generated and not null in my Page_Load event so that developers can just do this: testNameBox.Text = "foo"; ownerBox.Text = "bar"; descriptionBox.Text = "baz";

iPhone UIWebView local resources using Javascript and handling onorientationChange

I'm trying to server HTML Javascript and CSS content from an iPhone application's local resources, and I'm having trouble handling onOrientationChange events and including external Javascript. I seem to be able to link in CSS properly but not javascript. I'm trying to use the following example of handling onOrientationChange (How to build an iPhone website) but I'm serving the webpage from my app's NSBundle mainBundle. How to parametrize WPF Style?

Hi! I'm looking for a simplest way to remove duplication in my WPF code. Code below is a simple traffic light with 3 lights - Red, Amber, Green. It is bound to a ViewModel that has one enum property State taking one of those 3 values. Code declaring 3 ellipses is very duplicative. Now I want to add animation so that each light fades in and out - styles will become even bigger and duplication will worsen. Running in to some issues with Tumblr's Theme Parser

Below part of a tumblr theme I'm working on and you will notice that I use the {block:PostType} syntax to declare the opening tag of each post, which is a <li> element in an Ordered List. This allows me to not only dynamicly set the li's class based on the type of post but cuts down on the number of times I'm calling the ShareThis JS which was really bogging down the page. This creates a new issue though which I believe is a flaw in Tumblr's parser. Each post is an ordered list with one <li> element in it. I know I could solve this by having each post as a <div> but I really like the control and semantics of using a list. Tumblr gurus? Suggestions? For some reason for a low-number of users (say 1 in a few hundred) the application seem to crash when run in 64bit mode on a Snow Leopard 10.6.3 I've attached the code, but please remind IT IS NOT A CODE issue. Any suggestions other then running the application in 32 bit only? Please do not dilute the feedback by asking for or blaming the code, the code is 100% solid, guaranteed! No memory leaks, the crashes clearly are triggered in 32 bit mode only just after start inside the AppKit itself like deep inside NSThread sleep's callstack.

The table are innodb and I tried to drop all tables and recreate it the problem remains... EDIT : Well I think I have a start of answer... I change the log level of hibernate to DEBUG and before it crash I have the following log insert into Semspace (name, [...]) values (?, [...]) So it looks like it does not try to insert the idCorpus and as it is not null it uses the default value "0" which does not refers to an existing entry in Corpus table...

TinyMCE include crashes IE8

I am trying to open a popup onclick using a function call as shown below. <a id="forgotPasswordLink" href="#" onclick="openSupportPage(document.getElementById('forgotPasswordLink').innerHTML);"> Some Text </a> I am creating the HTML for the pop up page on the fly and also including the TinyMCE source file over there. The code is as shown below: <script type="text/javascript">  </script> The support.js file contains the following. function inittextarea() { tinyMCE.init({ elements : "content", mode : "exact", theme : "advanced", readonly : true, setup : function(ed) { ed.onInit.add(function() { tinyMCE.activeEditor.execCommand("mceToggleVisualAid"); }); } }); } The problem arises when the onclick event is fired and the pop up opens up, IE8 stops responding and seems to hang. It is working fine on Chrome, Firefox and Safari. I feel that the issue is because of TinyMCE script inclusion because on commenting the lines that include the tiny_mce.js and the support_page.js, the popup renders with no issues. I am also using the latest TinyMCE release. Please let me know why this is happening and what could be the resolution.

Forms Authentication works on dev server but not production server (same SQL db)

I have a SQL Server 2008 database with ASP.NET Forms Authentication, profiles and roles created and is functional on the development workstation. I can login using the created users without problem. I back up the database on the development computer and restore it on the production server. I xcopy the DLLs and ASP.NET files to the server. I make the necessary changes in the web.config, changing the SQL connection strings to point to the production server database and upload it. I've made sure to generate a machine key and it is the same on both the development web.config and the production web.config. And yet, when I try to login on the production server, the same user that I'm able to login successfully with on the development computer, fails on the production server. There is other content in the database, the schema generated by FluentNHibernate. This content is able to be queried successfully on both development and production servers. This is mind boggling, I believe I've verified everything, but obviously it is still not working and I must have missed something. Please, any ideas? Answer: I ran into a problem with similar symptoms at one point by forgetting to set the applicationName attribute in the web.config under the membership providers element. Users are associated to a specific application. Since I didn't set the applicationName, it defaulted to the application path (something like "/MyApplication"). When it was moved to production, the path changed (for example to "/WebSiteFolder/SomeSubFolder /MyApplication"), so the application name defaulted to the new production path and an association could not be made to the original user accounts that were set up in development. Could your issues possibly be the same as mine? I have this already in my web.config but still get the issue. I am trying to display a message, and depending on the type of message keep it displayed( + having a background), or having it fade out by a double animation on the opacity property (+ having a transparent background). The opcacity remains 0, and messages only get restored again when I have a message of kind true,"msg,false. After the animation, the opacity is 0, and where I would expect the second multidatatrigger to set it back to 8, and then have the animation performed by the Datatrigger, it doesnt. What would be the best way to get this working ?

wso2 ESB: server configuration CRITICAL

My Scenario: I have server_1 (192.168.10.1) with wso2-ESB and server_2 (192.168.10.2) with Glassfish-v3 + web services. Problem: I am trying to create a proxy in ESB using the java Web Services, but the created proxy does not respond properly. The log says: Unable to sendViaPost for http or https does not change the result. I think I should configure the axis2.xml but I am having trouble, and don't know what to do. What is the configuration for my scenario? Please help me! EDIT: To be clear, I can directly consume the WebService in the Glassfish server, it works normal, both port and url are accessible. Only when I create a "Pass through Proxy" in the ESB, it does not work. I don't think is matter of Proxy configuration...I never had problems while deployed locally, problems started once I have uploaded the ESB to a remote server. I really would need someone to point me what is the correct procedure when installing the ESB on a remote host: configuration of axis2.xml and carbon.xml, ports, transport receivers etc... P.S. I had a look at the official (wso2 esb and carbon) guides with no luck, but I am missing something... So I searched around and found that if I add the option "expanded" set to true to the following code: 'permissions_list' => new sfWidgetFormDoctrineChoice(array('multiple' => true, 'model' => 'sfGuardPermission', 'expanded' => true,)), The code is part of this file: lib/form/doctrine/sfDoctrineGuardPlugin/base/BasesfGuardUserForm.class.php. I don't think I should've edited this file (potential for changes to be overwritten should sfDoctrineGuard ever be re-installed) but couldn't think of another way to make it work. For example if I had permissions named user_action1, user_action2, file_action1, file_action2, they would display like: User checkbox (custom label) Action One checkbox Action Two File checkbox (custom label) Action One checkbox Action Two but have no idea where to start with this. It would be easy if there was a template to edit but since I'm dealing with the Forms framework it is my understanding that the templates are generated on the fly - I can see them in my symonfy cache folder. How would I go about this? I started writing my own sfWidgetFormDoctrineChoicePermission class that extends the same class as sfWidgetFormDoctrineChoice but am struggling to edit the rendering functions correctly for the desired output. Is this the correct way to go about this work? I also need to integrate my sfGuardUserProfile model into the edit user page (same as above), I read somwhere that editing the generator.yml file for the sfGuardUser plugin module and simply adding the field names from the sfGuardUserProfile table would make it work, but sadly it doesn't. Any help with any of my queries would be appreciated. Thanks

TableViewCell autorelease error

OK, for two days now i have been trying to solve an error i have inside the cellForRowAtIndex method, let start by saying that i have tracked down the bug to this method, the error is [CFDictionary image] or [Not a Type image] message sent to deallocated instance. I know about the debug flags, NSZombie, MallocStack, and others, they helped me narrow it down to this method and why, but I do not know how to solve besides a redesign of the app UI. JQuery SelectToUISlider Issues

Hopefully this hasn't been asked before as just a slider question, but I couldn't find an answer when already browsing questions. So, here goes: I have a SelectToUISlider (http://www.filamentgroup.com/lab/update_jquery_ui_slider_from_a_select_element_now_with_aria_support/) which is basically a modified JQuery UI Slider, and I'm using a range value. So, I start with one handle at 60, and another at 100 (scale from 0 to 100). What I want to do is click a radio button so that the 100 changes to a 0, and be able to change back to 100. I have been unsuccessful at changing it via JQuery selectors/javascript. However, when changing the selects to move the handles, this works, but the range appears not to follow if the second handle (at 100) moves to 0 behind the first handle (at 60). I'm thinking I might have to destroy the slider and rebuild it with the second handle (that starts as 100) become the first handle at 0 in this scenario (although I've tried destroying it and it doesn't seem to respond to that either.) After I get this working, I would also like to find some way to disable one of the handles through changing the slider property. Ie leave the handle where its at but not allow it to be dragged.
