• MSCRYPTO: How to import RSA key from pkcs#12 into Microsoft Enhanced RSA and AES CSP?

  According to the MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa387314%28v=VS.85%29.aspx) the PFXImportCertStore function imports the cert/key into Base CSP (MS_STRONG_PROV) or Enhanced CSP (MS_ENHANCED_PROV). However, to use RSA/SHA2 signatures, I need to import the key into the Enhanced RSA and AES CSP (MS_ENH_RSA_AES_PROV) and I can't find a way to do it. The documentation mentions "provider name" from the PFX packet, but I can't find any way to set it for a pkcs12 file generated by a 3rd party (e.g. OpenSSL). Thank you in advance.

• No Internet access while being connected to VPN using Cisco VPN Client 5.

  Hi, I have an access to corporate VPN using Cisco VPN Client 5.0.00:0340, but when I'm connected to it, I don't have an Internet access. I'm using Windows XP SP3. As it was suggested here http://forums.speedguide.net/showthread.php?t=209167 , I tried to enable "Allow local LAN Access" but it doesn't work. I also tried a second solution - deleting entry using "route" command, but it didn't help. I used "route delete 192.168.100.222". It's a third day of my attempts to solve this issue and I don't have an idea what else to do. I'm not very experienced in VPN stuff, but I know something about networking. Basing on my knowledge, I think that it's theoretically possible to achieve Internet access using my local network and only corporate stuff to be routed using VPN connection. I think that theoretically this should look like this: every IP being inside by corporation - VPN interface IP every other IP - my ethernet interface I've tried many possibilities of how to change those routes, but neither of them work. I'd really appreciate any help.   Hi there, my problem occurs during compiling Irrlicht3D Engine in VS 2008. 1Error 1256: integer overflow in internal computation due to size or complexity of "irr::IReferenceCounted" I'm currently merging a very old Softwaredriver I have written with the rest of the engine which is much newer. The main Problme is that I have tried to resolve abstract inherince problems. But now I get this error and it is the only one. "irr::IReferenceCounted" is one of the base classes used by other classes which have been inherinced from. What does that mean? I know that an integer overflow can be a normal overflow, but why is this shown during compilation? Any help appreciated! -db

• Sphinx autodoc is not automatic enough

  I'm trying to use Sphinx to document a 5,000+ line project in Python. It has about 7 base modules. As far as I know, In order to use autodoc I need to write code like this for each file in my project: .. automodule:: mods.set.tests :members: :show-inheritance: This is way too tedious because I have many files. It would be much easier if I could just specify that I wanted the 'mods' module to be documented. Sphinx could then recursively go through the module and make a page for each submodule. Is there A feature like this? If not I could write a script to make all the .rst files, but that would take up a lot of time.

  1) a) I assume roles are cached ( by setting Roles.CacheRolesInCookie ) only for current user? b) Besides Roles.GetRolesForUser(_currentUser), are there any other methods that will read role information for current user from role cookie and thus won’t have to connect to the data base? 2) a) I assume that normally role cookie gets updated only when current user is added or removed from the role(s) or when the cookie expires? b) Because role names can be cached apart from the data source, it is possible that changes to role management at the data source would not be reflected in the cached values. In this case, the user must close and re-open their browser to clear the cached cookie value. How exactly could role cookie get cached apart from the data source? 3) If the number of roles cached in a role cookie equals the value of Roles.MaxCachedResults, then I assume when Roles.GetRolesForUser (_currentuser) gets called, it will need to check the DB to see whether user is also a member of any additional roles? thanx

  I have a class instance variable on one of my AR classes. I set its value at boot with an initializer and, after that, never touch it again except to read from it. In development mode, this value disappears after the first request to the web server.   I'm not sure it's even possible, but my command line usecase goes something like this: do svn update do a svn log -l {how many times since my last commit - 1} do a `svn diff -rHEAD:{my last commit revision + 1} and try to get an overview of what happened since last time I touched the code. I get a lot of valuable information from this, and would like everybody in my team to get the same feeling of control and overview of the code base. Not everyone in my team is comfortable with the command line but like the hudson interface. So; is there a way to the the commit diff since last build (we do a build per commit) in the individual build page?

  I have an abstract base class that holds a Dictionary. I'd like inherited classes to be able to access the dictionary fields using a convenient syntax.   I'm re-working some prototype code into a policy based design in C++, and I'm wondering what the best practice is for documenting the design. My current plan is to document: Policy hierarchy Overview of each policy Description of each type/value/function in each policy I was thinking of putting this into a doxygen module, but this looks like it will be a bit awkward since formatting will have to be done by hand without code to base the doc on (that is, documenting the policies rather than the implementation of the policies). So my questions are: Are there other aspects of the design that should be documented? Are there any tricks to doing this efficiently in doxygen? Is there a tool other than doxygen thats better suited to this? What are some examples of well documented policy based design? This is my first serious attempt at policy based design. I think I have a working grasp of the principles, but whatever naivety I expose in this question is fair game for an answer too.

• require_owner code to limit controller actions not recognizing current user as owner

  I am trying to restrict access to certain actions using a before_filter which seems easy enough. Somehow the ApplicationController is not recognizing that the current_user is the owner of the user edit action. When I take the filter off the controller correctly routes the current_user to their edit view information. Here is the code.   I have a private repo in github that is the complete source code to my cms. Now I have a few local customers that I want to use the same code base on but with different themes. Is it better to fork the original project out into a repo for each one. Or use a submodule and create a new repo for each customer? After each site is complete I would imagine the theme files wouldn't change much but would need to pull in changes from the main repo when bugs are discovered.

  I have a problem with SonarQube. I use web API to inject manual metrics values for a project like this : curl -u nom:password -d "resource=<projet>&metric=<key de la metric>&val=<valeur>" http://localhost:8081/sonar/api/manual_measures One of these metrics is a percentage and this metric is declared as a Percentage value in Sonar in Settings = Manual Metrics window. I have a project with components and each project and components have this metric value. When I want to show this metric as a color metric in a "treemap of components" of widget, all the treemap is grey (as if values are not defined). But if I put mouse on the name of component in treemap, I saw the color metric value as a percentage value like this : myComponent - ncloc: 800 - myMetric: 84,0% Moreover, scale metric color does not appear in treemap title (after Size ncloc Color <my metric>).

  I have the following code: class Like < ActiveRecord::Base belongs_to :site validates_uniqueness_of :ip_address, :scope => [:site_id] end Which limits a person from "liking" a site more than one time based on a remote ip request. Essentially when someone "likes" a site, a record is created in the Likes table and I use a hidden field to request and pass their ip address to the :ip_address column in the like table. With the above code I am limiting the user to one "like" per their ip address. I would like to limit this to a certain number for instance 10. My initial thought was do something like this: validates_uniqueness_of :ip_address, :scope => [:site_id, :limit => 10] But that doesn't seem to work. Is there a simple syntax here that will allow me to do such a thing?

• Authlogic::ControllerAdapters::RailsAdapter::AuthlogicLoadedTooLateError

  Authlogic is trying to prepend a before_filter in ActionController::Base to active itself, the problem is that ApplicationController has already been loaded meaning the before_filter won't get copied into your application. Generally this is due to another gem or plugin requiring your ApplicationController prematurely, such as the resource_controller plugin. The solution is to require Authlogic before these other gems / plugins. Please require authlogic first to get rid of this error. (Authlogic::ControllerAdapters::RailsAdapter::AuthlogicLoadedTooLateError) I had installed radiant 0.9.rc2, extension reader and required gem Authologic So while running script/server on ubuntu 9.04 i am receiving the above error Any Suggestion, Thanx in advance

• Using Response.Redirect() to a relative path.

  I'm working with ASP.net. My website is hosted within a subfolder test under the IIS root directory. So the url of default.aspx is http://localhost/test/Default.aspx. From default.aspx, I want to use Reponse.Redirect() with a relative path to redirect to another url within the same web site, http://localhost/test/whatever. I tried Response.Redirect("/hello"); and Response.Redirect("~/hello"); Both of them redirect to http://localhost/whatever. Note that the Redirect method use http://localhost instead of http://localhost/test/ as the base url. Any ideas? Thanks.
