    Click here to see a simple example of what I want. It's really easy, but for some reason Google won't display the "subTotalCaption2" div. It's part of a foreach loop, if needed I can add other codes. There is nothing else in the rest of the css to mess with this, I have checked about 10 times.   • Nicer way to deploy a minified Chrome extension

    When deploying an extension I follow various steps : copy to a temporary folder all the files, copy/paste back and forth the code to the on-line minifiers / obfuscators and create the zip to be uploaded. It's obvious that this could be simplified with scripting, but my experience on Windows scripting is very limited (most of my experience is server-side). Do I have to look back to the DOS .bat files like in the 90's or is there some cool tool or method I'm not aware?

    So I turned on my computer and log into my gnome-shell session to find that the shell is gone, and there is instead a very thick panel with a vertically repeated pattern of the gradient the Unity panel displays. I ran some tests and found out that my graphic acceleration was failing.   • Firefox extension: How to inject javascript into page and run it?

    I'm writing a Firefox extension to allow users to annotate any page with text and/or drawings and then save an image of the page including the annotations. Use cases would be clients reviewing web pages, adding feedback to the page, saving the image of this and emailing it back to the web developer or testers taking annotated screenshots of GUI bugs etc. I wrote the annotation/drawing functionality in javascript before developing the extension. This script adds a <canvas> element to the page to draw upon as well as a toolbar (in a <div>) that contains buttons (each <canvas> elements) for the different draw tools e.g. line, box, ellipse, text, etc. This works fine when manually included in a page. I now need a way for the extension to: Inject this script into any page including pages I don't control. This needs to occur when the user invokes the extension, which can be after the page has loaded. Once injected the init() function in this script that adds the canvas and toolbar elements etc. needs to be run somehow, but I can't determine how to call this from the extension. Note that once injected I don't need this script to interact with the extension (as the extension just takes a screenshot of the entire document (and removes the added page elements) when the user presses the save button in the extension chrome).

  • "Invalid form control" only in Google Chrome

    The code below works well in Safari but in Chrome and Firefox the form will not submit. Chrome console logs the error An invalid form control with name='' is not focusable. Any ideas? Note that whilst the controls below do not have names, they should have names at the time of submission, populated by the Javascript below.   • jQuery .append() not working in IE, Safari, and Chrome

    So I'm using jQuery's AJAX function to read some XML for me and it's worked just fine. But now I'm trying to manipulate the display property of 4 different dynamically generated divs. The size and x/y of the divs are determined by the XML and are parsed through. My problem lies in the face that these divs either aren't being generated or just don't show up in IE, Safari, and Chrome. In Firefox and Opera, they do work. I'm using jQuery's .append() to create the divs and then the .css() functino to manipulate them. Looking in Chrome's developer tools, I am seeing that the css property being changed in the script is being overridden by the property in the stylesheet.
