• Dell PE R710 Lifecycle Controller

  Hi All, How would one use the dell lifecycle controller on the new R710 Servers ? I have seen demos on youtube and it can install linux, windows from there without inserting the installation discs ? I am on the same LAN as the server and have setup iDrac Express (we dont have drac enterprise). Any suggestions ? Thanks

• Linux Teamviewer functionality, but for ssh only

  I need to access some Linux server behind NAT (no ports forwarded), so I need to have something like "phone home" like Teamviewer has. There is no GUI, but somebody can log in through SSH and dictate a password if it is changing (like Teamviewer). SSH (port 22) is enough (I can tunnel ports through SSH if I need). Any suggestions? How safe is it?

• How can I archive a 30 GB file?

  I have a 30 GB zip file containing an archive of digital materials available in the school library that I want to burn to DVD. Of course, 30 Gb is far too large for a single DVD and the content is already zipped. I'm open to ideas, but leaning towards suggestions that will help me automatically spread the file over multiple DVDs, including a simple program to stitch it back together again later.

  Hi Im trying to print a php generated document in chrome, on the browser it looks fine But my printer will not print any coloured backgrounds. I know that IE has an option to print background but chrome does not . As the end user will print this off I do not want to find alternatives like a screen grab or save file etc I want to find a real solution to this . Can anyone offer any suggestions please ? Thanks

  Hi We are running a Windows 2008 Small Business Server with Symantec Backup Exec. Last night the back up failed due to the Volume Shadow Copy service being unable to start. • Why Is My Media Card Reader not working in Windows-7?

  I have a Dell 2407FWP monitor that has a built in media card reader and USB ports. The USB Ports work fine but the media card reader shows up in Devices as a USB 2.0 device with the error that it can't start. The card reader worked fine under XP Pro SP3 so I'm at a bit of a loss. • Google Chrome Interferes with Copy and Paste in Excel

  I have got a following problem: Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) function in Excel 2010 does not work (or acts weirdly) is I have Google Chrome opened at the same time. This issue is Excel-specific meaning that in Word or Powerpoint copy/paste works fine. It is also Chrome- and CoolNovo-specific as the copy/paste in Excel does not interfere with other internet browsers. Any suggestions? Cheers, Dan

  Hi all, Is there a good way to get gVim working as an IDE replacement? I'm moreso looking for suggestions for Intellisense-type plugins...code completion...maybe easy directory browsing (other than the standard 'edit.' command).   This is giving me a 500 internal server error. Any suggestions? I have tried various examples but I think I'm missing something... RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{request_uri}!^ /index\.htm RewriteRule ^(.*) /index\.htm [R=permanent,L] It displays the homepage if I navigate there but anything that meets the conditions (all appart from index.htm gives the server 500) EDIT: with the above code it now doesnt give any 500 errors but it doesnt redirect for any pages

• Chrome in Linux Ubuntu stays in Full screen mode

  I've recently installed the latest version of Chrome for Linux on my Ubuntu 9.10 installation. The only problem is is that it stays in Full Screen mode no matter what I do. I pressed F11 but it does not want to return to normal mode. I even completely uninstalled it using synaptic package manager en re-downloaded it and still nothing. Any suggestions will be welcome.
