I want to create a report which shows the types of cases in each month by taking a date range as a parameter through prompts.     hi, i'm sending a mail with attachment(1.pdf) but in mail it doesnt shows 1.pdf instead it shows some random file named "ATT008220.dat". i'm using Rails 3.0 following is the code i'm using: @file = File.read('c:/1.pdf') @file.force_encoding('BINARY') attachment "application/octet-stream" do |a| a.body = @file end anybody knows why its happening? any idea?     i cant for the life of me figure out how to change the date from default mm/dd/yyyy to the european dd/mm/yyyy the manual states to use: $.datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26)); so far i have: $('#next_date').datepicker(); which shows the calendar fine but im not sure where the first line of code goes. this for example disables the calendar, nothing shows up, no js errors reported $('#next_date').datepicker.formatDate('yy-mm-dd', new Date(2007, 1 - 1, 26));

  • Why do updates inside of a SQL transaction still need disk IO?

    In SQL Profiler you can see that very simple updates to a table by primary key take about 10-30ms each. On about every 10th update the write column shows 1, on all other updates it shows 0. This must mean that about every 10th update statement still requires disk IO. I wonder why that is. Would it not be more efficient queue up all IO until the transaction commits?

I would like for this page to display the view of just the two fields on the first load (rather than the current 5 it shows on first load), then when the user clicks the 'register' link, it shows the other 3 - for a total of 5.     Hello....I have a report with 12 Tablixes on it. The user can pcik and choose which one of these Tables and their associated data shows when the Report is generated. However, when chosing a subset of the 12 tables, the report shows blank space where I hide the non-selected tablse. Is there any way to make the report resize/fit the size of the selected tables...truncating the white space where the invisible tables are? Thanks

    Hello everyone I have installed xampp 1.7.3. After starting apache and mysql service when I write http://localhost/ in the internet explorer address bar it shows 'The page cannot be displayed'. But for Firefox it creates no problem and shows Xampp index.php page. Now how can I solve this problem? Thanks in advance
