  • Adding Items to an Inner (Nested) ListView

    I have 2 asp:ListView controls, one embedded in the other (OuterListView and InnerListView respectively). I am trying to add an asp:linkbutton in the InnerListView layout that will allow the user to add an item to the InnerListView. Unfortunately, when I handle the OnClick event in the linkbutton control, I can't figure out how to get a handle on the asp:linkbutton's parent ListView from within the codebehind handler. Obviously, there is no global handle since there are multiple inner listviews. I can link code if necessary.

  • JQuery validation not working for checkbox group

    I'm having trouble getting JQuery validation to work with a set of checkboxes. I'm generating the checkboxes using an ASP.NET checkboxlist, and I've used JQuery to set the 'name' attribute to the same thing for each checkbox in the list. Here's the code that gets written to the browser. I'm setting the 'validate' attribute on the 1st checkbox to set the rule that at least one checkbox must be selected. The JQuery validation works for all other elements on the form, but not for the checkbox list. I'm trying to enable the JQuery validation whilst being as unobtrusive as possible, so that pages will still work even if JQuery is disabled. Here are the relevant JQuery inclusions and JQuery initialisation script for the form wizard. I want to catch its results and handle that in a dialog on the page - but I cannot figure out how to get back to the page to execute the jQuery that would be responsible for it. Any ideas?

    Is there a way to disable scrolling all together in an iframe? I have an iframe where the content exceeds the iframe dimensions, setting scrolling=no only removes the scrollbars but doesn't disable scrolling. I don't have control over the head of the iframe-html, so I can't style my way out it. Any ideas?

    I would like to obtain the list of controls under a given point. There is a method on System.Windows.Form to obtain a control under a point(GetChildAtPoint) but not point(GetChildsAtPoint). Is there something similar for the list of controls (if borders intersect one other): I need this because I select the objects when user clicks on the panel(I use Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.RectangleShape as label bellow). In case if labels are superposed, user should be asked what object to select.

  • Umbraco: Handling In Page Javascript in Uswe Controls

    I have quite a number of user controls that I need to embed in Umbraco macros. Each user control has quite a bit of in page javascript that needs loaded into the page. I have been building up the javascript with StringBuilder.Appendline then registering a startup script with code behind but this stinks and I feel there has to be a better way of going about this.
