• Jump-To-Code-Line Eclipse Shortcuts

  Hello, is it possible, in Eclipse, to mark certain lines with Shortcuts and be able to quickly jump to those lines? Example: Let's say I have maintenanceHeavyMethod() at line 120 in my class, gameLoop() at line 800 and some listener at line 1460. I'd like to f.ex. press CTRL-SHIFT-1, 2, 3 etc. to mark those positions, and then use f.ex. CTRL-1, 2, 3 to immediately jump to them. I don't like split-screens etc, but I need to jump around when writing. Is there such a feature? I'm using latest Eclipse to write Java-programs.

  I was working on a Rails template and was trying to write a bit of code that allows me to populate a table or multiple columns of ul tags "top-to-bottom" and "left-to-right" across however many columns I specify. I'm just getting the hang of Ruby so I couldn't figure this out. I'm also curious about an idiomatic Haskell version for this useful snippet.   I am confuse on a concept. I am doing this on rails. Is that Entity set equal to a table in the database? Is that Relationship set equal to a table in the database? Let say we have Entity set "USER" and Entity set "POST" and Entity set "COMMENT" User- can post many posts and comments as they want Post- belong to users Comments-belong to posts ,users, so comment is weak entity. SCHEMA ====== USER -id -name POST -id -user_id(FK) -comment_id (FK) COMMENT -id -user_id (FK) -post_id (FK) so USER,POST,COMMENT are tables I think. And what else is a table? And do I need a table for the relationship??

The function takes the ID as parameter and return all stages that corressponds to the project, on which I need to filer only the row that contains StageLevel as 0.   Let's say I have an Index view. The model I pass in is actually a collection of models, so the Html property is of type HtmlHelper<List<MyModel>>. If I want to call extension methods (e.g., Display() or DisplayFor() on the individual items in the list, however, I think I need to obtain an HtmlHelper<MyModel>. But how? I tried using the HtmlHelper<TModel> constructor, which looks like this: HtmlHelper<TModel>(ViewContext, IViewDataContainer) But I'm not having any luck with that. I don't know how to obtain the IViewDataContainer for the item, and the documentation on these things is very sparse. A lot of magic apparently happens when I do... return View(List<MyModel>); ...in my controller. How do I recreate that magic on individual items in a list/collection?

  How would I draw something on the screen ? not the console window but the entire screen, preferably with the console minimised. Also, would it show up on a printscreen ? What I want to do is create something like a layer on top of the screen that only me and my aplication are aware of yet still be able to use aplications as usual. Here's an example: Let's say I want 2 yellow squares 5 by 5 pixels in size appearing in the center of the screen on top of all the other applications, unclickable and invisible to a printscreen.

  If I have to predefine all the columns, how do I take the advantage of the variable column key/value structure of cassandra? If I use update table command, it will insert null for all the rows which don't have that column. This is same as relational DB. For example, for contact column family, I have name, phone, email. I have 100 contacts have all 3 field. Then number 101 contact has skype id which I want to add. If I use insert statement, it won't let me add skypeid since it's not defined in the CF. So I have to run alter statement to change the CF, then all the first 100 contacts will have a null field for each of them.

  Hi, I've been searching around the web for an answer to this one, but was unable to find an answer, on the other side I think it's something quite common thus there is a possibility I'm missing some keywords here. Anyhow, the problem is as follows: When is control given to a callback function in ObjC (iPhone)? Does it happen after control is given to a high up in the hierarchy class responsible for the runloop? Can it occur in the middle of another function call being executed? As an example, let's take the NSURLConnection, we don't know or can't predict when it's going to call didReceiveResponse or the other callback methods, can it be the case that didReceiveResponse get's called when I'm in the middle of another function? (highly doubt that but was unable to find information on callbacks wating for the end of the run loop) Cheers, Kaspa

  I wanted to translate strings groupbytext, show in groups in the column menu of a grid panel. In ext-lang-pt.js the string are not included. wheres as in other languages thse string are included. These strings are in cluded in ext-lang-pt_PT.js. what is the difference between ext-lang-pt.js and ext-lang-pt_PT.js. Do I have to include the file ext-lang-pt_PT.js in order to translate the strings in portugese? Please let me know

• When to save a variable in viewstate?

  Hi, I have searched the web for the answer and saw that mostly variables are saved in viewstate on page.prerender event. However, when I save a variable in viewstate on prerender or load events, how can it store the changed value of the variable? Let's say, after page load, user clicked a button and the value of the variable was changed in onClick event of the button. Then the postback event raised since the button was clicked. According to me, the new value should have been lost and cannot be saved in the viewstate if I save the variable in the viewstate only in prerender event. Shouldn't I save the variable in the viewstate just before the postback event rises? Am I wrong? If so, how can viewstate store the new value of the variable? Thanks for the answer in advance..

  I was reading about SIOF from a book and it gave an example : //file1.cpp extern int y; int x=y+1; //file2.cpp extern int x; y=x+1; Now My question is : In above code..will following things happen ? 1. while compiling file1.cpp, compiler leaves y as it is i.e doesn't allocate storage for it. 2. compiler allocates storage for x, but doesn't initialize it. 3. While compiling file2.cpp, compiler leaves x as it is i.e doesn't allocate storage for it. 4. compiler allocates storage for y, but doesn't initialize it. 5. While linking file1.o and file2.o, now let file2.o is initialized first, so now: Does x gets initial value of 0? or doesn't get initialized?

• Access the camera of a Smartphone using libGDX

  I searched the web, browsed through the libGDX wiki, but without success. My Question: Is there a way, to access the camera of smartphones, let the user take a photo, and then store the image in a Texture-instance? • jQuery .ajax request failing

  I currently have a jQuery ajax request set up like this $(document).ready( function() { $.ajax({ url : "http://www.my-computer.com:51000/getJson", cache : false, dataType: "json", success : renderPage, error: handleError }) }); If I manually naviate to http://www.my-computer.com:51000/getJson, I see it returns a json string correctly, but with the above request, I always fall into "handleError" method, with textStatus "error" and not much helpful information. Can anyone help? Thanks! EDIT: sorry about the my-computer domain. this stackoverflow submission won't let me input localhost, so I put in an arbitrary domain instead. I've tried firebug, but had no luck in getting the json back.

  Hi Masters, Good Day, I am new very naive to oracle DB. I am using Oracle 10G. Let me explain to you. I have one source database named ( DB1) and Target Database named (DB2). I have 2 schema's named dbs1 and dbs2 in the source database (DB1). I have exported both the database schema in Source Database (DB1) and imported it successfully into the Target Database (DB2). Now I face a challenge in synchronizing these database schema's every time from Source DB (DB1) to Target DB (DB2). Can anyone please help in letting me know how can achieve this synchronization. • C++ corrupt my thinking, how to trust auto garbage collector?

  I use to program mainly with C/C++, that's make me dealing with pointers and memory management daily. This days I'm trying to develop using other tools, such as Java, Python and Ruby. The problem is that I keep thinking C++ style, I'm writing code as C++ usually written in almost every programming language, and the biggest problem is the memory management, I keep writing bad code using references in Java and just get as close as I can to the C++ style. So I need 2 thinks here, one is to trust the garbage collector, let's say by seeing benchmarks and proofs that it's realy working in Java, and know what I should never do in order to get my code the best way it can be. And the second think is knowing how to write other languages code. I mean I know what to do, I'm just never write the code as most Java or Python programmers usually do, are there any books for C++ programmers just to introduce me to the writing conventions? (by the way, forgive me for my English mistakes)

I would like to run a cron that would update the text file and turn it into a regexp acceptable for use in the above example, if you think regexp is a good idea and there isn't another option. I know how to apply a cron in a directadmin gui, but I don't know what the cronned file would look like.

E'---F'---G' Feature / A---B---C---D--H--I trunk So commit E' will be a commit with the same changes as E, except in the case of E causing a conflict, in which case E' will differ from E in that E' has the conflicts resolved, and the same commit message as E. I'm looking for this as it helps in keeping branches up to date with trunk - the svnmerge.py / mergeinfo way does not help, as you still need to resolve your changes when you merge back to trunk.

• How can I use git to stage only one line in a file for commit, all from a script?

  I'm writing a simple pre-commit git hook that updates the year in copyright headers for files that are staged for commit. After modifying the line with the copyright, I would like the hook to stage that line so that it is part of the commit. It can't just git add the whole file, because there may be other pre-existing changes in there that shouldn't be staged. I don't see any options in the git add manual the let you stage specific lines. I figure I could git stash save --keep-index, apply my change, git add the file, and then git stash pop, but that seems rather crude. Any better approaches?

  I'm trying to figure out how to rotate a single object on an html 5 canvas. For example: http://screencast.com/t/NTQ5M2E3Mzct - I want each one of those cards to be rotated at a different degree. So far, all I've seen are articles and examples that demonstrate ways to rotate the entire canvas. Right now, I'm guessing I'll have to rotate the canvas, draw an image, and then rotate the canvas back to it's original position before drawing the second image. If that's the case, then just let me know! I just have a feeling that there's another way. Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!
