Say that I have a query of the form
SELECT * FROM MYTABLE WHERE MYCOL in (?)
And I want to parameterize the arguments to in.
Is there a straightforward way to do this in Java with JDBC, in a way that could work on multiple databases without modifying the SQL itself?
The closest question I've found had to do with C#, I'm wondering if there is something different for Java/JDBC.
Hello,
I'm looking for feedback on which analyzer to use with an index that has documents from multiple languages. Currently I am using the simpleanalyzer, as it seems to handle the broadest amount of languages. Most of the documents to be indexed will be english, but there will be the occasional double-byte language indexed as well.
Are there any other suggestions or should I just stick with the simpleanalyzer.
Thanks
I am going to build a website on a test server that will behave differently depending on which domain is used to access it (The real website will have multiple domains pointing to it).
But how will I be able to simulate the different domains on the test server?
For a college project i'm thinking of implementing the business layer in Erlang and then accessing it via multiple front-ends using REST. I would like to avail of OTP features like distributed applications, etc.
My question is how do I expose gen_server calls/casts to other applications? Obviously I could make RPC calls via language specific "bridges" like OTP.net or JInterface, but I want a consistent way to access it like REST.
The pipe operator in prolog returns one or more atomic Heads and a Tail list.
?- [a,b,c] = [a,b|[c]].
true.
Nesting multiple pipes in a single match can be done similar to this:
?- [a,b,c] = [a|[b|[c]]].
true.
What does the statement [a|b|c] infer about a, b and c?
I'm trying to query a database, and return a set of values. Part of the data i'm trying to return is an insurance premium breakdown.
Is it possible to run a query, that selects multiple fields, then adds then and returns them as a single value?
I've seen SUM() but the examples i've seen show it as adding up the results of an entire field - where as i need it to add specific fields for each row returned.
Any help is much appreciated.
I'm trying to write a rogue-like game for my blackberry and hopefully
any other phone that supports some sort of JVM.
Because I use Java in my job I'm looking to write the game in another language but I cannot find a language that will work on multiple phones.
Am I stuck with Java?
I started using diffuse, which you can use to compare multiple files together with, but it's some what useless since you can't horizontally compare lines when you have like 20 files you need to compare together, I was thinking maybe one line from all twenty files displayed horizontally.
When/where do you decide to split a large visual studio project into smaller multiple projects?
When you split the project, do you ...
-group database tables
-group similar functionality
-other..
To get a list of a content type's cck fields, I was hoping to use:
drupal_get_schema('content_type_mycontenttype');
but that leaves out fields with multiple values. Is there a simple call to use to get such a list?
Hi folks,
I have a jComboBox that I am populating with some objects. The objects are of a type which I have made myself, and include a String and an int. The object's toString method returns the String, which is displayed in the Combo Box.
Now, I wish to select an item in the Combo Box with code. How do I do this?
There are multiple items starting with the same letter
Thanks
I have the following objects in a collection:
Transaction:
Type = "Widget"
Date = "3/1/2011"
Name = "Foo"
Transaction:
Type = "Widget"
Date = "3/4/2011"
Name = "Bar"
Transaction:
Type = "Gadget"
Date = "3/2/2011"
Name = "Baz"
Transaction:
Type = "Gizmo"
Date = "3/1/2011"
Name = "Who"
Transaction:
Type = "Gizmo"
Date = "3/2/2011"
Name = "What"
Transaction:
Type = "Gizmo"
Date = "3/6/2011"
Name = "When"
I want to end up with the following, grouped by Type. If there are multiple, return only the first one chronologically by date.
Transaction:
Type = "Widget"
Date = "3/1/2011"
Name = "Foo"
Transaction:
Type = "Gadget"
Date = "3/2/2011"
Name = "Baz"
Transaction:
Type = "Gizmo"
Date = "3/1/2011"
Name = "Who"
I would like to know if anyone know something about the re-compression of a file multiple times, with gain and if there is a theoretical limit to the gain.
possible related to: How many times a file be compressed?
For the warehouse work under progress, we have a single solution with multiple projects in it
OLTP Database Project
Warehouse Database Project
SSIS ETL project
After the SSIS project is built, I want to move the binaries (XML, really) from the Bin folder to "C:\AutomatedTasks\ETL.Warehouse\" and "C:\AutomatedTasks\ETL"
I cannot find the Post-Build events to do that for the SSIS project. Where are they? If they aren't available, how do I achieve this?
I'm not sure where to look to find this information, but I'd like to know how to get mouse input (or any hid input) using the fewest non standard libraries in c. Basically, is there an stdio equivalent for mouse (and other input) input in c? Or is there a library that is minimal and cross compatible on multiple platforms. Just being able to print mouse coordinates to a terminal window would be enough.
I am trying to write a pre-qualification programming exam, hopefully using Google Forms... however they seem to be unable to do new-lines in both the questions and the section headers...
My current format is new page for each question, with a "section header" as the main question (because it has a textarea for the "code snippet") and a "multiple choice question" as the ummm... question answer...
Help much appreciated...
When a whole project (solution) consists of multiple subprojects (.vcproj), what is a preferable way to tie them: as static libraries or as shared libraries?
Assuming that those subprojects are not used elsewhere, the shared libraries approach shouldn't decrease memory usage or load time.
In the JDBC code, I have the following that is working with SQL Server:
CallableStatement stmt = connection.prepareCall("{ call getName() }");
ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery();
if(rs != null)
{
while(rs.next())
{
//do something with rs.getString("name")
}
}
Multiple rows are returned for the above situation.
I understand that the use of a cursor is required to loop through the table in Oracle, but is there any way to keep the above code the same and accomplish the same thing?
Thanks in advance.
I need to create multiple /testcontainer: parameters to feed into a task that exec's MsTest.
I have the following :
<ItemGroup>
<TestFiles Include="$(ProjectPath)\**\UnitTest.*.dll" />
</ItemGroup>
for each match in TestFiles I would like to build a string like so:
"/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary1.dll"
"/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary2.dll"
"/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary3.dll"
I am trying to use the internals of MSBuild without having to create a custom task, is this possible ?
TIA
When naming a boolean, or a function returning a boolean it's usual to prefix with 'is' e.g.
isPointerNull
isShapeSquare
What about when refering to multiple items, should it be:
arePointersNull or isPointersNull
areShapesNull or isShapesNull
I can see arguments for both; is offers consistency and perhaps slightly better readability, are makes the code read in a more natural way.
Any opinions?
What would be the fastest portable bi-directional communication mechanism for inter-process communication where threads from one application need to communicate to multiple threads in another application on the same computer, and the communicating threads can be on different physical CPUs).
I assume that it would involve a shared memory and a circular buffer and shared synchronization mechanisms.
But shared mutexes are very expensive (and there are limited number of them too) to synchronize when threads are running on different physical CPUs.
User preferences for my app is store in NSUserDefaults. This includes a "theme" preference, which needs to be accessed frequently by multiple classes. I would prefer not to call "[[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] objectForKey:..." repeatedly as it makes for inconcise code and I assume will incur overhead. What is the preferred and most concise method for accessing preferences in any class?
I am trying to debug multiple threads.
*** -[NSLock lock]: deadlock (<NSLock: 0xc388ab0> '(null)')
*** Break on _NSLockError() to debug.
How can I debug this?
I have a contact form written in PHP that currently has a form field that tries to prevent spam through a calculation (3 + 1). I need that form field to have multiple calculations and at random so prevent spam.
