    - by decbrad
Hi there, I just signed up for a Google Maps API key and was hoping for a wizard style application for setting up the map (not a static one), unfortunately I was immediately blinded by science! Can anyone point me to a tutorial where I can find out how to create a simple google map and place a callout bubble including am image of the office and address details. Thanks in advance Decbrad

  • Do I need to drop index on temp table?

    - by Phil
Hi, Fairly simple question, but I don't see it anywhere else on SO: Do indexes (indices?) on a temporary table get automatically deleted with the temporary table? I'd imagine they do but I don't really know how to check to make sure. Thanks, Phil

  • Nokogiri (Ruby) and XPath

    - by JP
Does Nokogiri only support XPath 1.0? I'm trying to do simple string replacement in a value-of cell, like so (where element contains something like '* My string (useless text)') <xsl:value-of select="replace(element,'^\*\ (.+)\ \(.*\)$','\\1')"> Is this poorly formed XSL? Or is there a limitation with Nokogiri?

  • NSTextField enter to trigger action

    - by Chris
I've been looking all over for a simple example of how to have an action (or button) be triggered when the enter key is hit in the text field. Should I subclass the text field? Would I need to set a delegate to call the action I need? Is there a way to catch the event in my main window controller class? If you could even just point me to the right direction that would be great. Thanks.

  • Dynamically assembling SQL queries in Java

    - by kd
What is the best way to assemble an SQL query with join conditions dynamically? I don't want to hard code the query for each different condition on a webpage or a set of webpages. Is it even feasible? I got as far as being able to assemble simple queries but i got stumped when i needed to insert join conditions, i.e. how to figure out dependencies for joins etc.

  • How to design the application to conform to the n-tier architecture? (Winform sample in .net with li

    - by AlexRednic
Rather a simple question. But the implications are vast. Over the last few weeks I've been reading a lot of material about n-tier architecture and it's implementation in the .NET world. The problem is I couldn't find a relevant sample for Winforms with Linq (linq is the way to go for BLL right?). How did you guys manage to grasp the n-tier concept? Books, articles, relevant samples etc.

  • What is the most performant 2D graphics engine for use with Android?

    - by nbolton
I have managed to make a hello world JBox2D application, and it works (I have some bouncing balls). However, I just read a comment on a forum post, which claims that JBox2D produces a lot of garbage, and so causes animation to be poor. Is this true? If yes, then what other 2D engines are available to me? I would very much like to use a physics engine for my 2D game, even if it's just a very simple one.

  • VB2008 Resolution-based resizing

    - by Logan
Hi, Usually I am a web developer so this is probably a very novice question. I recently made an app in VB2008, but I developed it in a huge reso (1920x1200). The person that will be using it still uses 800x600 reso. Is there any simple way I can resize the entire interface to fit any resolution? I didn't really think about it at all while I was making the program.

  • Matlab - Find point of intersection between two vectors

    - by Silv3rSurf
I have a very simple matlab question. What is the easiest way to find the point of intersection between two vectors. I am not familiar with the various matlab fuctions -- it seems like there should be one for this. For example if I have one vector from (0,0) to (6,6) and another vector from (0,6) to (6,0), I need to determine that they intersect at (3,3) Thanks.
