  • Using ASP.NET Automatically login to an external website and redirect

    Hello, We have a series of products with built in web servers each of which has a login page, a customer wants to create a web portal in which they log into once, from there they can simply click on any of the devices (external websites) and it will automatically login to that site and redirect them to the page after the login screen. The portal is using ASP.NET MVC, the external devices are Windows CE based units running embedded web servers. Can find a lot on scraping, but not much on redirection after the event.     I've added an App_Code directory to my ASP.NET MVC project so that I get dynamic compilation for plugins. Only slight annoyance is that when developing new plugins, I don't get intellisense on classes inside the App_Code directory. Currently I am creating them in another directory inside my project and then copying them into App_Code. is there any way around this?

    Hi, In .NET is it possible to get the HttpContext of the current page from within an external class? So, for example in my page test1.aspx codebehind I've got: Dim blah As New FeedWriter() blah.Run() But inside FeedWriter.vb, can I get the HttpContext of test1.aspx? Or would I have to pass it in to Run()? (I'm unwilling to do the latter because FeedWriter implements an interface which will need to be re-written if it's to take arguments) Cheers, Matt
