    My users upload Word 2007 documents to our site and I'd like to load them into a rich edit control of some kind so the users can make modifications/ comment, etc. What mechanisms are available to: load the Word document via ASP.NET, and parse/format/display the document in a rich editing control? Also, what kinds of rich editing controls are best to use in this circumstance?

    I have my ASP.NET web.config set with impersonation <identity impersonate="true" userName="domainName\userName" password="userPassword" /> I'm running some a method like IO.Directory.GetFiles(somePath) And monitoring the file system access with Process Monitor I keep getting all the access requests from the aspnet_wp.exe process to the folder, as the ASPNET user. Why am I not seeing the access as the impersonated user?

    I am developing an ASP.NET 3.5 web application in which I am allowing my users to upload either jpeg,gif,bmp or png images. If the uploaded image dimensions are greater then 103 x 32 the I want to resize the uploaded image to 103 x 32. I have read some blog posts and articles, and have also tried some of the code samples but nothing seems to work right. Has anyone succeed in doing this?

    I am use to VB.NET. The game source code I am learning from is written in C#. I find it annoying that I have to add using System.Diagnostics to the source code in order to type Debug.WriteLine.... I checked under project properties, but I cannot find the References tab that allows me to add namespaces to Imported Namespaces. Where do I find this in C#? Also, why can't I do this in C#?     As per the question title, How could I take a hex code and convert it to a .Net Color object, and do it the other way? I googled and keep getting the same way which doesn't work. ColorTranslator.ToHtml(renderedChart.ForeColor) Which returns the name of the color as in 'White' instead of '#ffffff'! Doing it the other way seems to have odd results, only working some of the time...

    Similar to Ubiquitous way to get the root directory an application is running in via C#, but that question seems to be related to Win Forms. How would the same be done for Web Forms? I was using... HttpContext.Current.Server.MapPath("~") This works great for handling HTTP requests but seems not to work if a scheduler like Quartz.NET invokes a job (the problem I am having). The HttpContext.Current is null in that scenario since an actual HTTP request is not made.

    Say I have this url: http://site.example/dir/ In this folder I have these files: test.ascx.cs and test.ascx Just to be clear, I am not a .NET developer. From a security point of view - why can't I access http://site.example/dir/test.ascx.cs and how secure is it to keep those files there? I assume IIS filters out request that query these kind of files, but can someone explain me this? Thank you.

    Can I write code against .Net 4 and its libraries using VS2008? If so how should I configure it? I realise that VS2008 will probably struggle with language changes such as the dynamic keyword but can I install the version 4 and target it anyway? My only real interest is in being able to use some of the new libraries, in particular I'm interested in the TPL (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parallel_Extensions)
