• Include OpenX ad in a jquery-ui dialog?

  I'm loading some content into a jquery-ui dialog via .ajax. That's all working fine but now I've been given an OpenX ad to embed into the dialog & can't figure out how to do it. I know all the script is stripped when coming in via ajax, & I know how to use $.getScript to load .js files for use in the dialog, but the OpenX ad script I've got uses document.write so I think it's expecting to be embedded inline into the desired position on the page. I've tried appending the escaped script string into the div on ajax success of the main content as below, but this results in the page being redirected to a page with just the ad on it. Attempt shown below: $("#" + idHelpPage).find(".adScript").append("<script type='text/javascript'>var m3_u = (location.protocol=='https:'?'https://d1.openx.org/ajs.php':'http://d1.openx.org/ajs.php');var m3_r = ... etc etc I'm ok with jquery but not great with javascript, would really appreciate any help! • WinForms Taskbar Icon - Click Event not firing

  I have created a non-form c# program that uses the NotifyIcon class. The text "(Click to Activate)" shows up when I hover the mouse. So I am getting some events handled. • Should I redesign my code when collegues says so?

  I wrote a function recently that finds maximum of two ints. • Shopping Portal based on XML Data - XSLT or PHP?

  For my bachelor thesis I want to implement a shopping (price comparison) portal prototype based on XML Data. The main requirement is to get a very clear and customizable HTML template, which should be hosted by the customer on his own webserver. I'm not very sure if XSLT meets this requirements, as it generates a lot of xsl-related code. It is not easy to understand for people with little HTML skills. I have some experience with the PHP templating engine Smarty. The syntax is much better, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to parse the XML data with PHP, as it is very complex. Which language should I choose for a web application with high complexity? XSLT or PHP?

• MIPS assembly: how to declare integer values in the .data section?

  I'm trying to get my feet wet with MIPS assembly language using the MARS simulator. My main problem now is how do I initialize a set of memory locations so that I can access them later via assembly language instructions? For example, I want to initialize addresses 0x1001000 - 0x10001003 with the values 0x99, 0x87, 0x23, 0x45. I think this can be done in the data declaration (.data) section of my assembly program but I'm not sure of the syntax. Is this possible? Alternatively, in the .data section, how do I specify storing the integer values in some memory location (I don't care where, but I just want to reference them somewhere). So I'm looking for the C equivalent of "int x = 20, y=30, z=90;" I know how to do that using MIPS instructions but is it possible to declare something like that in the .data section of a MIPS assembly program?

  Hi, I have a wpf datagrid with many rows, each row has some specific behaviors like selection changed of column 1 combo will filter column 2 combo, and what is selected in row 1 column 1 combo cannot be selected in row 2 column 1 combo, etc... So I am thinking of having a view model for the main datagrid, and another for each row. Is that a good MVVM implementation? It is so that I can handle each row's change event effectively. Question is, how do I create "each row" as a user control view? within the datagrid. I want to implement something like this: <TreeView Padding="0,4,12,0"> <controls:CommandTreeViewItem Header="Sales Orders" Command="{Binding SelectViewModelCommand}" CommandParameter="Sales Orders"/> </TreeView> Where instead of a TreeView I want a datagrid, and instead of controls:CommandTreeViewItem a datagrid row in WPF. • (Java) JPopupMenu won't close if I click outside of it

  Hi all, I have created a Java Swing app that has no visible main window but which is controlled through its tray icon by right-clicking. I am using a JPopupMenu for this, but when I click outside of the popup menu (e.g. on another application's window or the desktop) the JPopupMenu does not disappear which is not the expected behaviour. Originally I was using a popupMenu which did work as expected but this did not allow me to have icons in the menu. How can I get it to close when I click elsewhere, as expected? Thanks!

  I am working through Aaron Hillegass' Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X and am doing the challenge for Chapter 18. Basically, the challenge is to write an app that can draw ovals using your mouse, and then additionally, add saving/loading and undo support. I'm trying to think of a good class design for this app that follows MVC. Here's what I had in mind: Have a NSView-subclass that represents an oval (say JBOval) that I can use to easily draw an oval. Have a main view (JBDrawingView) that holds JBOvals and draws them. The thing is that I wasn't sure how to add archiving. Should I archive each JBOval? I think this would work, but archiving an NSView doesn't seem very efficient. Any ideas on a better class design? Thanks.

  I am writing an application which uses the Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel assembly to export/import data from Excel spreadsheets. Everything was going fine (except for 1 based indexing and all those optional parameters!), until I tried to use conditional formatting. When I call Range.FormatConditions.Add I get a MissingMethodException telling me that no such method exists. This happens in both Vista and XP. • NoSuchPortException using RXTX Java library on Windows?

  I have followed the instructions to setup rxtx on windows from http://www.jcontrol.org/download/readme_rxtx_en.html. What I did exactly was copy rxtxSerial.dll to "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\jre\bin" and copied RXTXcomm.jar to "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\jre\lib\ext" (my JAVA_HOME variable is set to C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\jre) I also added RXTXcomm.jar to my eclipse project.   I am using WebBrowserControl in winforms to automate a data entry form. This website opens a new dialog window using ShowModalDialog and puts all the form fields in that new dialog window. How can I access that modal dialog window's contents from my winforms code and want to populate fields. When I access the webbrowser's document it shows the main document not the opened dialog window. Is there any way to access the opened dialog's document? I tried to inject javascript to access contents but the javascript is blocked till the modal dialog is open.

This template applies a CustomerView to an instance of the CustomerViewModel class shown in the main window. <DataTemplate DataType="{x:Type vm:CustomerViewModel}"> <vw:CustomerView /> </DataTemplate> I substituted the angle brackets for square brackets - not sure how to post them. The code is in the MainWindowResourses.xaml and the code starts on line 19. Anyone know how I can do this in Silverlight ?? We don't have the DataType and I need to be able to tell the app that this View is associated with this ViewModel - so I can create a tab control with different view like the demo app. Cheers, EC

Except the ones I want i.e. WM_MOUSEMOVE, WM_MOUSEHOVER, WM_LBUTTONDOWN and WM_LBUTTONUP Also the OnMouseLeftButtonDown event is not fired in the WPF code on the main window or the control, I assume because windows is trapping it and throwing it away. Anybody know how I can get these to come through, either with or without using the WIN32 window messages?

  I am wondering how I can go about stopping a dialog from opening if certain conditions are met in its __init__ statement. The following code tries to call the 'self.close()' function and it does, but (I'm assuming) since the dialog has not yet started its event loop, that it doesn't trigger the close event? So is there another way to close and/or stop the dialog from opening without triggering an event?   It seems that the reporting idiom is that a report consist of a single list of items, with some additional data (parameters). Are there ways to include several unrelated lists in a report, or would this go against the idiom to such an extent that a different tool should rather be used to generate the output? Suppose, for instance, you have a list of Persons that lives in a Building, with names, phone numbers and so on. This list would be the main datasource. Additionally, on the same report you want to show various other information about that Building, such as address, number of floors and so on. The number of items in this information might vary between Buildings, so that you cannot simply put it into static parameters, but would need a map or a list. This is of course a contrieved example, but should serve to illustrate the problem. In short: can you use several unrelated lists in a report?

  I have noticed that when my computer in plugged in, the wireless strength increases. I'm assuming this is to do with power management. Is there a way to disable Wireless Power Management? I have found a few blog posts that show hacks to disable this but what is best practice here? Should there not be an option via the power menu that lets you toggle this? • What does seem target in ANT

  Hello I am completly new to eclipse, liferay and ANT. I tried to set up a development environment and just finished the ext-anvironment (I also executed ant clean start). Now I've to execute "ant build-ext", following this tutorial: http://www.liferay.com/web/guest/community/wiki/-/wiki/Main/Setting%20up%20the%20Extension%20Environment D:\_liferay\ext>ant build-ext Buildfile: D:\_liferay\ext\build.xml But I receive the Message: BUILD FAILED Target "build-ext" does not exist in the project "ext". Can somebody tell me what I did wrong? Thanks in Advance Johannes

• lwjgl 101: How can I write the basics?

  This ought to be really simple, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to compile anything with lwjgl and have it work. I can write something like package gwison; import org.lwjgl.Sys; public class G { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println(Sys.getTime()); } } and I can easily compile a program with several classes in different packages, as long as I wrote all the classes myself. But I have no clue how to make G work. I think it has something to do with classpathes? Maybe? Help?

• How to avoid "The name 'ConfigurationManager' does not exist in the current context" error?

  I am using VS2008. I have a project connect with a database and the connection string is read from App.config via ConfigurationManager. We are using L2E. Now I added a helper project, AndeDataViewer, to have a simple UI to display data from the database for testing/verification purpose. I don't want to create another set of Entity Data Model in the helper project. I just added all related files as a link in the new helper project. When I compile, I got the following error: Error 15 The name 'ConfigurationManager' does not exist in the current context C:\workspace\SystemSoftware\SystemSoftware\src\systeminfo\RuntimeInfo.cs 24 40 AndeDataViewer I think I may need to add another project setting/config related file's link to the helper project from the main project? There is no App.config file in the new helper project. But it looks I cannot add that file's link to the helper project. Any ideas?
