When compiling this, there is a runtime error which says "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." highlighting the foreach line. I can't understand, why the environment has become irritable to this humble,innocent and useless piece of code. I would also like to know, does HTMLAgilityPack accept HTML classes as nodes?

• MySQL installation question.

  I am far from a DBA and have a question. Recently I installed MySQL. On my machine C:\ is a 50GB partition of two mirrored 10k SAS drives. The remaining space on those drives is allocated to D:. I also have a SSD mounted as E:. When I installed MySQL, I installed it to E:\ assuming that that is where the database information would be held since I had installed it there. I am now seeing C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\data\peq, peq being the name of my main database. Is my database being stored in C:\ and if so, how do I fix it to store the DB on the SSD?

  I use an email registration and confirmation in my project (yes, I know about OpenID. In my counry, a main email service lack it). Sometimes users misspell their email addresses. I know about this due to "message could not be delivered" letters in a mailbox. A misspelled address is absolutely correct, because I check it with a regular expression - say, [email protected] intstead of [email protected]. And I do not want to duplicate a email field in a registration form (who likes it?). Request processing routine cannot wait for email delivery - it could take an unpredictable time. So, my script will return to user a confirmation message "An email was sent". And the user will wait for it forever (of cause, not - he/she will turn to an alternative project with a more perfect registration system). Does someone knows how it can be improved (in any programming language)?

I can compile TestMe.cpp from a command-line with no problem: g++ TestMe.cpp -IC:\gtest-1.5.0\gtest-1.5.0\include -L../gtest/staticlib -lgtest -o TestMe.exe It runs as expected. However, I cannot get this to compile in Qt. My Qt project file, in the same directory: SOURCES += TestMe.cpp INCLUDEPATH += C:\gtest-1.5.0\gtest-1.5.0\include LIBS += -L../gtest/staticlib -lgtest This results in 17 "unresolved external symbol" errors related to gtest functions. I'm pulling my hair out here, as I'm sure it's something simple. Any ideas?

  Hi there and thanking in advance I am trying (very hard) to redirect Console input and output into a textbox. So far output is working fine but the trouble is with input. For example I cannot execute a simple program that will do the following: Console.WriteLine("Please enter your name: "); string name = Console.ReadLine(); Console.WriteLine("Hi there " + name); The reason I can't achieve this is because that the program has to stop while waiting for user to type his/her name and press enter. If I wait for user input on a new thread then the main GUI thread freezes and the textbox can never receive the KeyPress. This thing has me totally stumped. Any advice (or better still code) would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

• How to add a view on top of a UIPopoverController

  I've got an iPad app with a “drawer” table displayed in a popover. The user can tap-and-hold on an item in the drawer to drag that item out of it and into my main view. That part works fine; unfortunately, the view being dragged appears under the popover, and is too small to be visible until it's dragged out from underneath it. If I add the view as a subview of the view controller in the popover, it gets clipped by the popover's frame, and as I can't access the UIPopoverController's view, I can't disable its layer's masksToBounds—and that probably wouldn't be a great idea anyway. I suspect that I could use an additional UIWindow with a high windowLevel value to force the dragged view to appear on top of the popover, but this seems like overkill. Is there a better solution?

In config i have [gitosis] [group gitosis-admin] writable = gitosis-admin members = me@server me@laptop [group prj1] writable = prj1 members = me@laptop and in /home/git/repositories i have created directory prj1.git with empty git repo. i can work with gitosis-admin from server and laptop without problems, but when i'm trying to git clone prj1 on my laptop i see $ git clone git@server:prj1.git Initialized empty Git repository in /Users/alec/temp/prj1/.git/ fatal: no matching remote head ok, lets push prj1 from laptop to server: $ git push origin master:refs/heads/master ERROR:gitosis.serve.main:Repository read access denied fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly Whats wrong?

  what is the easiest(and fastest) way to perform this kind of transformation: "Data in XML" to "Some MS Word 2003 Supported format" to PDF using Java? My first guess was to fill the template with XML data (using Placeholders for example) and then save it and convert it to PDF. But I can't just put placeholders to DOC files, and I can't convert from some other Word formats to PDF... My primary task is to convert XML Data to PDF allowing users to change the PDF on-demand. The best way to change the PDF on-demand seems to give user some kind of MS Word readable document, and then convert it back. There are 2 main problems with this task: 1) I can't use OpenOffice for conversion. 2) System should be able to convert ~1 page of table-based document per 1 second on 2Ghz Core. 3) RTF does not provide enough styling, so some more complex format should be used.   I've been learning about 3D for a couple days now. I managed to create a chunk (8x8x8). Add optimization so it only renders the active and visible blocks. Then I added so it only draws the faces which don't have a neighbor. Next what I found from online research was that it is better to use glDrawArrays to increase performance. I basically created a static property in a class and used another property to return the value from an instance. The getter of my instance property would return the value of the static property, but the setter would set itself. When would this type of pattern be used and how come it generated a stackoverflow exception?   I need to take keyboard input in my OpenGL ES application, so I just created an empty UITextView and added it as a subview to the main window along with the view that presents my content. I use the UITextview to control the keyboard and it works fine in a single orientation. I then changed my code to support all orientations by rotating the OpenGL content myself based on UIDeviceOrientation notifications. To rotate the keyboard, I overrode the shouldAutoRotateInterfaceOrientation method in the UITextView's controller. But I still see that the keyboard does not rotate according to the orientation. Any clues?

• Why doesn't my implementation of El Gamal work for long text strings?

  I'm playing with the El Gamal cryptosystem, and my goal is to be able to encipher and decipher long sequences of text. I have come up with a method that works for short sequences, but does not work for long sequences, and I cannot figure out why. El Gamal requires the plaintext to be an integer. I have turned my string into a byte[] using the .getBytes() method for Strings, and then created a BigInteger out of the byte[]. After encryption/decryption, I turn the BigInteger into a byte[] using the .toByteArray() method for BigIntegers, and then create a new String object from the byte[]. This works perfectly when i call ElGamalEncipher with strings up to 129 characters. With 130 or more characters, the output produced is garbled. Can someone suggest how to solve this issue? Is this an issue with my method of turning the string into a BigInteger? If so, is there a better way to turn my string of text into a BigInteger and back?   I am creating a Windows Mobile Application in C# and Visual Studio 2008. The application will have 5-6 main 'screens'. There will also be bar (/area) with information (e.g. a title, whether the app is busy, etc) above the screens, and a toolbar (or similar control) below the screens with 5-6 buttons (with images) to change the active screen (i.e. the screens will share the top bar and toolbar) What is the best way to implement this? Use multiple forms, and just include the toolbar and top-bar in each Use a single form and something like the Tab control (but customised) to contain the screens Something else?   I'm interested in using Functional MetaPost on Mac OS X: http://cryp.to/funcmp/ I'm looking for a tutorial like: http://haskell.org/haskellwiki/Haskell_in_5_steps but for a trivial FuncMP example, i.e. using GHC, I can compile something simple such as: import FMP myPicture = text "blah" main = generate "foo" 1 myPicture but I can't figure out how to view this foo.1.mp output. (It gives a runtime error about not finding 'virmp'; my MetaPost binary is 'mpost'; I can't figure out how to override this Parameter or what my .FunMP file is or should be doing...) I can run mpost on that but the output (foo.1.1) is what, PostScript? EPS? How do I use this? (I imagine I just need a simple LaTeX file with an EPS figure in it or something...) Preferably, I'd like to generate output (.ps or .pdf that I can view) so I an actually get somewhere with Functional MetaPost, learning it, playing with it, not banging my head against paths and binaries and shell commands.
