• Yaml Emitter in C++

  Is there a C++ library for emitting YAML? Wikipedia mentions a c++ wrapper for libyaml, but the link is broken. The official YAML site only offers yaml-cpp, which was also suggested in this SO question, but cpp-yaml is only a parser, not an emitter. Am I out of luck? Edit: I'm looking for an object oriented interface, hence the C++ requirement. I know I could use libyaml's C interface in C++ code, but that's less than ideal.

  Hi everyone! I'm using the libpq library in C to accessing my PostgreSQL database. So, when I do res = PQexec(conn, "SELECT point FROM test_point3d"); I don't know how to convert the PGresult I got to my custom data type. I know I can use the PQgetValue function, but again I don't know how to convert the returning string to my custom data type. Any suggestion? Thanks in advice.

  I'm working on an API library and I'd like to add a few warnings that would appear when another developers builds the app if an optional apikey is not included. It should be buildable w/o the key (since it's optional) so I can't just add a syntax error to force a build error. • About Backward Compatibility of .NET Framework 4

  We have an WPF Application build on .net framework 3.5. Some testers find if they uninstall .net framework 3.5, but install .net framework 4.0, our APP fails to launch itself. Dose this mean that .net framework 4.0 does not include all 3.5 libs, and users have to install .net 3.5 even though they have 4.0? I see here are some migration issues listed by Microsoft http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee941656.aspx#windows_presentation_foundation_wpf Are they all breaking changes so that the backward compatibility is ruined? I tried unpacking the standalone .NET 4 installer and deploying the netfx_Extended_x86.msi package. This didn't work. After a reboot the event log shows that it tried but it failed to install with a message saying to run setup.exe.

• Ruby on Rails POST parameters on redirect_to

  I have to make a call to a different url in one of my controllers on my site. The problem is that with all the parameters the other site requires I'm overflowing the url. Is there anyway to call another url from the controller and send all of the parameters using a POST? I'm not expecting a response from the other site. • What DirectShow Interface to use for capturing to Stream instead of creating actual file?

  I've got a DirectShow project where I want to capture and stream to a webserver. I have seen how to capture and create a file, but I'm looking for ideas on how to capture into something like a MemoryStream to transport through a NetworkStream. I'm also using the library DirectShowLib for the ability to write in C# if that makes any difference. Of if there is a sample that I overlooked in the SDK I would greatly appreciate the direction.
