  • How does the VS XAML designer know what to auto-populate certain values with?

    <Button Name="MyButton" Content="Test" FontStyle="Italic" /> In the above XAML definition of a button, the FontStyle property is set to Italic. The designer is somehow able to populate a list for me to choose from when I hit the = sign. How is this achieved? Before you answer, consider that the FontStyle property is, appropriately enough, of type FontStyle (which is a struct). It's not an enumeration, which would be trivial for VS to list out at design time, so how are the valid list of options chosen to be displayed? There is also a completely separate FontStyles class which contains three static fields, Italic, Normal, and Oblique which just so happen to be the three items VS provides in the drop down list. Is there some mapping going on behind the scenes between the FontStyle struct and FontStyles class, because I've looked in many places in both the object browser and in .NET Reflector and couldn't determine anything from either.     I read the Wikipedia articles on FactoryMethod and AbstractFactory but the following code doesn't seem to fit anywhere.     Hi, I am trying to implement something done in almost any website out there : a 'ilike' button (like Facebook) that does not require user authetication to be used for any article of my website written in Grails. I don't want to use any external solution, so I need to implement it myself (or use a grails plugin). So my question is : What does it take to implement this 'ilike' button and prevent users from cheating? For instance, do I need to store local cookies (I suppose yes)? Do I need to check the session ID and IP of the HTTP request? Any well-known implementation are welcomed. Thank you very much for your help.

There's a check if user is already recording a project. If yes and he wants to start a new one, a confirm box should appear asking "Are you sure?"     I have the following situation I have a couple of table rows within a table eg <tr><td>One</td></tr> <tr><td>Two</td></tr> <tr><td>Three</td></tr> <tr><td>Four</td></tr> <tr><td>Five</td></tr> Say all of them are invisible Then I have a button to make them visible one by one, so if row 1 is invisible and I press the button then row 1 should be visible, if I press it again it sees that row 1 is already visible then it makes row 2 visible and so it goes on and on and on. How can I do this in Jquery so that jquery can accomplish this task for me. Is it possible?

Consider that i have an excel workbook and an access table not necessarily having a similar structure (i.e. They may not have same number of columns) When i open the workbook the rows in the excel sheet get populated by the rows in access table (copied from the access table into the excel sheet's particular range of cells specified using macros). Then i modify certain cells in the excel sheet. I also have a button called "Save" in the excel sheet. When pressed, this will execute a macro. My question how can i update the access table to reflect the changes in the excel sheet when the save button is clicked...? Thanks for your time and suggestions...!

  • Hotkey to shut down Ubuntu 10.04 from login screen

    I used to run 9.04 on my server and used to be able to use Alt-T, Alt-S to shut the system down from the login screen. It was using a KDE login screen. Now I've upgraded to 10.04 and use the Gnome login screen and I can't see any keyboard shortcuts to shutdown the server. Is there a shortcut and if so, what is it? Further info - I would normally shut down the server without turning on the monitor, which was easy using the keyboard shortcuts. Doing it with a mouse is not so easy without the monitor being on.

  • How do I change the cursor and its size?

    I have recently created an Ubuntu 12.04 partition on my Windows 7 laptop. When installing it, I switched to "high contrast" mode, which has rather large cursors (by large I mean about twice as large and thick as they should normally are). Now I have successfully installed the partition, the large cursors have stuck around even after exiting this high contrast mode, but only when I am hovering over stuff e.g. hovering over text inputs, links, and when resizing windows. All of these cursors are too large. They cursor is only normally sized when the computer should be displaying the normal mouse pointer. Does anyone know how I might go about fixing this?

Basically if a person clicks the button and this action happens I dont want them to click and run this action again for another 5 seconds. I looked at delay() to unbind the click for this then bind it again but once it unbinded it never allowed me to click the button anymore.

  • How do I fix this half screen problem?

    I just installed 12.04, and my entire screen is being displayed entirely on the top half of my screen. The bottom half is always black or some technical garbage from the boot up. To interact with the bottom half of the screen I have to move the mouse over the screen to pull part of the bottom half of the screen on top and vice-versa. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also my computer told me, at startup, to go to here: http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#devicefirmware.

  • Oh Unity Launcher scrambled with color dots after log on or restart

    The left hand side Unity launch bar is color scrambled after reboot, or log on. When touching it with the mouse arrow, it comes back to normal. I installed gnome shell color before this started happening. I will uninstall gnome shell color & see if this problem goes away. Any one ever see this happen. I run a Nvidia 550ti ge-force graphic card. I have the latest 295.33 driver from Nvidia installed and it does show activated in my restricted driver window. Oh yeah, before you inform me, I can tell you that yes, I do see the instructions to report bugs to the correct source. But I really don't know if this is a bug or not. Could be something else.

    Hi, I have a listview in my Android Application. Now, when the user presses Next Button other contents will be loaded into the listview. What I want is that if there are no more contents available then there should be a toast displayed indicating that there are no more data available. Say, for example I have a total of 55 data available and I am displaying only 30 of them in one listview. So, when the user presses Next for the first time next 25 records will be visible. If the user again presses the Next button then a toast should be displayed on top of the last listview that had last 25 records. Currently I get an error as IndexOutOfBoundException : Invalid location 15 size is 1. Can someone suggest how is it possible? Regards Sunil

    I am trying to build a record and replay system for a couple of games. I was wondering if I can make a general replay engine using directinput rather than doing an specific implementation for each game. Recording DirectInput events doesn't seem to be that much of a problem, but I don't know if there is a way to play them back. My question is, is there a way to feed DirectInput events from a log and make DirectInput believe that they came from mouse/joystick/keyboard? I assume it is unlikely, but if there is a way I would be interested in learning about it.

    Hello everyone, I have a GWT-FormPanel on my website, where people can upload pictures and answer some questions. It's working very well. The only problem is: I would like to provide a feedback to the user (for example: 0% to 100%) during the actual file process. But I have no idea how I can do that. I think that's a very common issue, that's why I would like to ask you guys if you know any tutorial or example that could help me to solve this problem. I've already tried GWT-Upload, but it does not do what I want: I have a submit button at the end of the FormPanel and the GWTUpload has it's own "SEND" button, which I don't want to have. Normally, I would use something like this: $(".overlay_popup").bind("click", function(){... but this didn't work for the overlay. Any ideas on how I can successfully do this?
