  • Bitmap Crashing upon going back and re-entering Activity

    Hello, I'm not sure what is causing this...I have two Activities, first has a button that goes to the second. The second creates a Bitmap object, assigns it a picture from the sdcard and loads it into an ImageView. Problem is when I go into the second Activity, then press the back button, and then go back into the second Activity, it crashes. I have no clue why. I did an extensive google search but to no avail. I can post the source code if you want. Please let me know. Thanks in advance! I got this from the LogCat: "E/dalvikvm( 4869): Unable to open stack trace file '/data/anr/traces.txt': Permission denied" I'm not sure how to get the stack trace.

    I created a wxPython application which shows some messages on a dialog window. The dialog window is needed to be force-destroyed by the application before I click the dialog OK button. I used wx.lib.delayedresult to make the destroy call.     I want to check, inside a bash script (*), how much time the user of a X session has been idle The user himself does not have to be using bash, but just X. If the user just moved the mouse, for example, a good answer would be "idle for 0 seconds". If he has not touched the computer in 5 minutes, a good answer would be "idle for 300 seconds" The reason to not use xautolock straight away is to be able to implement some complex behavior. For example, if the user is idle for 10 minutes, try to suspend, if he is idle for more 5 minutes, shutoff (I know it sounds odd, but suspend does not always work here ...) (*)or could be another language.

    This is my scenario I have an view(page) with list of items, a user could select single or multiple items from this page and click on a "Add to Group" button. Then a modal dialog(JQuery dialog) will be shown, from that he could select group, then press the add button. Which causes the items selected in the parent page is added to that particular group. So, which is the best way to pass the selected items to the modal pop-up? Though the query string ? - what happens if the no:of items selected is large, will the url support that much characters Keep the list in the parent page in a javascript variable and return the selected group from the modal pop-up?     Hi all I have a scenario in which I need to design online keyboard with buttons implementing different mathematical functions in ASP.NET. For example 1) A button called "Fraction" Onclicking= should display A numerator and a denominator separated by '-' with empty fields. Just as we write fractions manually. Now when the user clicks on this button the cursor should focus on numerator displaying 'the division line' and then by pressing 'Down' arrow key(on computr keyboard) should focus on denominator allowing users to enter both fields. Keeping it simple the user should be able to toggle between numerator and denominator. Please help me with some sample code. I have got no idea. Thanks in advance

  • Ubuntu won't wake after pm-suspend

    i have ubuntu 12.04 on my Zotac AD-02. Problem is when i run pm-suspend. zotac goes to sleep (it shows red led, and green light is flashing) but when i send magic packet to WOL it hangs ... it stops flashing and LED is green as its turned on but SSH wont run and it won't react to mouse or anything. I've read that sometimes it has something to do with graphics. It is mainly for DLNA and PLEX so i don't use any graphic component so if there is the problem tell me how to disable it :) is there some log or anything i can post? im fairly good at bash but not at all in ubuntu or debian. so i can't find any log.     So I have a Windows DVD and it works. But when it gets to the part when it says "Upgrade" or "Custom" I click on custom and at the bottom it says cannot install over it because Windows 7 can only be installed on an NTFS drive? I know that Ubuntu formatted my partitions into one big on that's an ext4. What can I do? I know that I can maybe create a 30-50 GB partition that's an ntfs then when I go into windows I can format the Ubuntu one and combine them but I don't know how to make a partition much less make a big partition in the "GParted" program? So any ideas would be very helpful. I know how to do anything with a hard drive using the default program that comes with Windows 7 but I feel like a mouse in a maze when I open GParted.

    hi guys, somehow there are really little tutorials out there for html5 video and audio playback. I simply want to embed video and audio files with customized controls. However the controls should be farely simple. I only need a play-button. If clicked, play gets replaced by pause. that's all! however i even don't know how to embed/display a video without "preload controls". Somehow if i only set (without preload controls) Firefox even don't shows anything. Chrome does show a black window. I would love to be able to use jquery to control the video play and pause button. Maybe you have some little start-approach for me! thank you very much!

  • How can I return JSON from node.js backend to frontend without reloading or re-rendering the page?

    I am working with node.js. I want to press a search button, make some rest api calls to another server in the backend and return the json back to the front end, and reload a div in the front end so that I won't have to refresh the page. Now I know I can reload just a div with jQuery or just Javascript dom manipulation. But how do I make it call a method on the server side? I could have a submit button and it will make a post request and I can catch it and make my api calls from there, however from the node.js side, when I return, I will have to render the page again. How do I go about returning JSON from the back end to the front end without re-rendering or refreshing my page? Thanks.

  • Disable buttons on post back using jquery in .net app

    I have a asp.net app that I want to disable the buttons as soon as they are clicked in order to prevent multiple submissions. I'd like to use jquery for this as the site already liberally uses it anyway. What I've tried is: $(document).ready(function () { $("#aspnetForm").submit(function () { $('input[type=submit]', $(this)).attr("disabled", "disabled"); }) }); The above will disable the button, and the page submits, but the asp.net button on click handler is never called. Simply removing the above and the buttons work as normal. Is there a better way?

If the checkbox is not checked, then that part of html should be removed. eg: cbxPersonal, cbxProfessional if cbxProfessional is unchecked I should remove divProfessional from html which is in hdnSource and display in the textbox Can anyone help me to do the 3rd part of coding.     I am personalising my Gnome-Shell in Ubuntu 11.10 I would like to disable the feature to open the Gnome's Dashboard when I close the last Window in a Workspace. Edit to clarify: The dashboard is available only in GNOME Shell. The dashboard opens if you press the windows key (aka SUPER) or if you move the mouse to the upper left corner. If you close the last window of a workspace, but there are open windows on other workspaces, the dashboard opens automatically. The latter behaviour is annoying if you do not want to use the dashboard to open new windows or to change workspace. There are many ways to to both (Gnome do, Docky, keyboard shortcuts, clicking on something on the desktop, ...).   • Booting Ubuntu shows only cursor, no desktop features

    I'm trying to install Ubuntu and have been trying since 2010 on my Win XP (2006-2008 I don't know which year's version exactly). I'm trying to get rid of XP and every time I install Ubuntu it doesn't work. I've tried all the options on the install list from Wubi and from inside the installer. I've tried a lot of different stuff and all it will load is a mouse cursor and a black screen. Please do help out with suggestions/advice. Thanks in advance.

For reasons beyond our understanding, the first call to the database server fails with the following error: An error has occurred during report processing. Cannot open database "TryParkingIt2" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'EXTRANET\OurServerNameHere$'. Run the report again, it works. Huh? Update Click the button the first time, it fails. Click the button again, it works. The account being impersonated is a domain account.

Then in View2 if they click a button it switches them to View1.   • Xubuntu LightDM shows blank screen half the time

    System info: (will be amended if any more info is asked for) My laptop runs Xubuntu 12.10. As it has a Solid State Drive, /tmp, /var/tmp, /var/log and /var/log/apt are set to tmpfs in the /etc/fstab file - in case this makes any difference. Problem My problem is quite simple. Approximately 50% of boot attempts end in the mouse cursor on a black screen (presumably LightDM failing to load), forcing me to restart and try again. I can access the CTRL+ALT+F1 terminal to reboot the machine, but it's very annoying having to boot and reboot two or three times before one works. Oh, and this problem is the same whether I use the Xubuntu or Unity greeter. Thanks for any help you can give.

  • Custom UIButton + subviews = no events

    Basically I have a custom UIButton and this custom button contains subviews. If I add those subviews to my uibutton, then the button stops responding to event changes. I.e if I click on it it doesn't respond to the selector. I have everything set as userInteractionEnabled. I also tried adding touchbegan and this is working. If I remove those subviews, the UIButton works again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

  • dijit hovering MenuItem issue

    I have a dijit.layout.TabContainer on my form. I resize the browser window in such a way that all tabs won't fit in a single screen. In this case dijit automatically adds a drop-down button at the right end of the TabContainer (I get this for free). If I click on the drop-down button then I get the full List of Tab Names. Hovering over the List of Tab Names (which is in fact a collection of menu items) it blanks out the menu item name which I'm currently over. e.g. Full List: Tab1 Tab2 Tab3 Hovering over Tab2 I get: Tab1 Tab3 I get the same issue with any other dijit.Menu, dijit.MenuItem AND I get the same issue on IE, Firefox, Chrome. I haven't tested on any other browser. Thanks.
