  • How do I repair the corrupted files found by sfc /scannow? "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."

    After running chkdsk C: /F /R and finding out that my hard disk has 24 KB in bad sectors (log is posted below), I decided to run Windows 7's System File Checker utility (sfc /scannow). SFC showed the ff. message after I ran it: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log." Since the CBS.log file is too large, I ran findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" (as per Microsoft's KB 928228 article) to only get the log text pertaining to the corrupt files. (log is also posted below) How do I troubleshoot and repair the corrupted files mentioned by sfc /scannow?   • Spry Collapsible Panel within Collapsible Panel, inconsistent errors.

    Hello everyone it is me again with another question. The booking system located here http://www.divethegap.com/scuba-diving-programmes-dive-the-gap/divemaster-training.php?cat=16 There are 3 main collapsible panels controlled by the spry framework. There are then over a dozen more inside the first collapsible panel as you can see on that page. When you open one of those by pressing one of the 'learn more' buttons you will see that the main collapsible panel that it is in also expands to fit that content and the contracts if you close the smaller panel again. However as soon as you go to the next main collapsible panel 'summery and quote' and then go back to the first main panel by pressing the button that says 'back' there are problems. Now if you open up one of the smaller panels inside the first main panel you will see that the main panel does not expand to fit the contents and in fact the content of the smaller panels spreads over the other content, floating above it.     I am trying to add files to an existing zip file. Whenever i do, the new one contains the new list of files im passing in, but all of the previous ones are wiped out.     Hi, I've a JSP/Servlet Web App that consist of more than one servlet (and some JSPs) I need to create an new HttpSession whenever the users access servlet A, knowing that, servlet A is the home page (i.e. he access it as the first servlet/page in the application) so far so good, I can write the following code at the start of the servlet A: HttpSession session = request.getSession(false); if (session == null) { logger.debug("starting new session..."); session = request.getSession(); // other staff here } But the problem is, if the user didn't close his browser (even if he closes the tab - in firefox for instance - the session will still be open), so when he try to open my site again, the last session will be re-used (in the rage of session timeout ofcourse), and this I don't need. I need whenever he access Servlet A, he got created a brand new HttpSession. but unfortunately, he may access this servlet twice per session based on some scenario!! Please help.

    In the Sun JVM, classes that are loaded by the class loader are put in permgen space and never gc'd. (Unless the class loader goes out of scope) It's my understanding that JRockit puts that same data on the heap instead. Is that data then subject to garbage collection? Thanks.

  • Release another user's lock obtained with sp_getapplock on SQL Server

    We have a system that uses sp_getapplock to create an exclusive mutex any time someone opens an order in the GUI. This is used to prevent multiple people from making changes to an order simultaneously. Sometimes people will open an order and go home, leaving it open. This effectively blocks anyone from being able to make changes to the order. I then get emails, calls and end up doing a kill <spid> in enterprise manager. Obviously I've gotten sick of this and want to make a quick self-service webform. The main problem I've run into is that kill requires sysadmin privileges, which I do not want to give to the user that the our website runs as. I have tried sp_releaseapplock but this doesn't let you release another user's lock (even when calling it as a sysadmin). So, finally my question; does anyone know of an alternative method to release a lock that was obtained by another user using sp_getapplock?

    Hi All I have an ASP.NET website set up using Windows authentication. Each time I open IE and try to access the webpage I get a windows authentication screen. Once I have logged in I can see the website fine. My problem is that every time I open a new IE browser I have to re-enter my username and password. I have heard about thew double hop issue, is this what it could be. If so how many ip fix this. Any ideas how i can stop this box showing up each time? I have ticked the "remember my username/password" tick box but still no joy. I am using Windows Server 2003, IIS 6.0 and .NET 4.0. Thanks JM

It seems like it should be simple, but I haven't been able to find what looked like equivalent code anywhere.     Hello I have the following lines in my ~/.emacs.d/init.el (custom-set-variables '(flymake-allowed-file-name-masks (quote ( ("\\.cc\\'" flymake-simple-make-init) ("\\.cpp\\'" flymake-simple-make-init))))) (add-hook 'find-file-hook 'flymake-find-file-hook) When I open a cc/cpp file that has a Makefile with the following content in the same folder I get proper on-the-fly compilation and error reporting (Flymake will check the syntax and report errors and warnings during code editing) .PHONY: check-syntax check-syntax: $(CXX) -Wall -Wextra -pedantic -fsyntax-only $(CHK_SOURCES) The problem is that when I open a .cc file that has no corresponding Makefile i get an annoying dialog box that warns me about flymake being disabled for every file opened. Is there some hook I can use to disable that warning? Can you provide sample elisp code and explanation on how you found the proper hook?

When I create the template and open in Excel 2007, it opens perfectly.   • Problems removing a " from a string

    Hi, I have a string that ends with a " (quotation mark) that I want to get rid of. However, because XCode usually requires you to enter the text you wish to remove using stringByReplacingOccurrencesOfString in @"texttoremove" format, you can't use the quotation marks in the space as it thinks you are closing the text. Any ideas on how I can do it? Thanks.

  • Opening pop up in Joomla

    I am trying to have people be able to open HTML widgets by clicking on a button in my Joomla page. All the widgets are different sizes. The code is entered as HTML in Jumi. Currently I have the action set to: "On click open in new window without browser navigation." The problem is this this always opens in a full screen size with the widget showing up in a corner. How do I control the size of this new window for each widget? Thanks

  • Which parts of Sharepoint do I need to understand to build a publicly facing website?

    I am building a publicly facing website that does the following. Users log in. And then view a list of their customers. They click on a customer to view their past purchases, order them, change them etc. This is not a shopping site by the way. It is a simple look up tool. Note that none of the data accessed by the website is in anything other than a SQL database - no office documents. Also, the login does not use users Windows credentials on a VPN or something like that. Typically I would build this using a standard ASP.NET MVC website. However the client says they want to use Sharepoint. As I understand it, Sharepoint is used for workflow and websites that are collaboration tools such as the components you can see here http://www.sharepointhosting.com/sharepoint-features.html Here are my questions: Would I be right in saying that WSS is completely inappropriate for this task as it comes with an overhead that provides no benefits? If I had to use it, would I need WSS or MOSS? If I had to use it, would I be right in saying the site would consist of : List item a) Web Parts b) And a custom site layout. How do I create one of these?

    My sample file is like below: H343423 Something1 Something2 C343423 0 A23423432 asdfasdf sdfs #2342323 I have the following regex: if (line =~ /^[HC]\d+\s/) != nil puts line end Basically I want to read everything that starts with H or C and is followed by numbers and I want to stop reading when space is encountered (I want to read one word). Output I want is: H343423 C343423 Output my RegEx is getting is: H343423 Something1 Something2 C343423 0 So it is fetching the whole line but I just want it to stop after first word is read. Any help?
