  • SPWorkflowCollection on SPListItem is always empty

    Hi I'm having a problem relating to Sharepoint workflows and the associated task list. I have 2 custom workflows that we created for our product. They both use the same Task list that has a custom content type that inherits from the Task content type. Now I have a case where a running workflow has been deleted via the list has been deleted or the document, this results in orphaned tasks. I want to overwrite the Task lists OnDeleting event, so that users can cleanup their tasks so that it won't contain unneccessary orphaned tasks. So my item deleting looks like this public override void ItemDeleting(SPItemEventProperties properties) { SPListItem currentListItem = properties.ListItem; } The problem is that when I go into debug mode and check the currentListItem.Workflows.Count field then it's always 0. It doesn't matter which workflow I initiate or what task i look at, the SPWorkflowCollection returned is always empty :( I was wondering if this might be related to a bug in our custom workflow where it's not wired up properly (but it finishes correctly and tasks are deleted when a workflow is terminated) or am I looking at this the wrong way ?

  • juqery image fading with tabs

    Hey all, i am trying my best to figure out how to go about doing this: I have 2 tabs. When the page loads tab1 is selected automatically. This shows the tab as 1.0 transparency while tab2 stays at 0.7. Once the user clicks on tab2, tab1 goes to 0.7 transparency and tab2 goes to 1.0. However, i can not seem to get it to do that!   • Easily (as in WYSIWYG) customize the docbook output

    I've used DocBook in the past and I love the idea behind the separation of content from presentation. I am very comfortable editing XML directly. In my extensive search to find the best documenting solution for my needs I am always coming back to this one solution: DocBook - Build system (ant, make, etc.) - Output I have seen lots of information concerning the best WYSIWYG, XML, Text editors for writing DocBook including alternative markup languages like asciidoc. All these solutions focus on the creation of DocBook or the nightmare of the DocBook tool chain. No one ever addresses the Output side other then to say "Just use XSL" or "Custom scripts" When tasked to make a document or manual I don't want to worry about spending countless hours attempting to reprogram, customize, and modify the XSL, CSS, and shell scripts (i.e. O'Riely books). That is a very arduous task. My query: is there a tool that makes the customizing easier? And is there anything that could be similar to say Pages or Word in that the user creates a template and the tool chain does the rest? Attempting to do a visual task like pretty logos and fixing all the broken layouts that the default XSL comes up with (pagination is a mess) is very difficult from a text editor. Content is easy. Editing DocBook XSL was truly a nightmare when I did it in the past. I've searched and I find lots of info on XML editors but nothing on XSL editors. Or am I lacking a key understanding of the process. Thanks.

  • jquery change event not working with IE6

    It is indeed quite unfortunate that my client still uses IE6. using jquery 1.4.2 The problem is that I open a window using a click event and do some edit operation in the new window. I have a 'change' event attached to the row of a table which has input fields. Now when the window loads for the first time and I make a change in the input for the FIRST time, the change event does not fire. however, on a second try it starts working.   • Simple jQuery toggle() and return false inside click()

    I'm mostly a djangonaut and phper, but I'm getting javascript development. I've been looking at this very simple block for a feedback widget on a page. The code is pretty self-explanatory. <a id="feedback-widget-toggle" href="[feedback_url]">Feedback</a> <div id="feedback-widget"> <form method="POST" action="[form_url]"> ... </form> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $("#feedback-widget-toggle").click(function() { $("#feedback-widget").toggle("slide", {}, 500); return false; }); }); </script> It's really simple. So simple that I feel pretty dumb for this one. The jQuery is just supposed to disable the link and slide out the feedback-widget div. That's it. I'm new to jQuery, so it's probably some very simple syntax error that I'm not sure how to debug well enough. Thanks.

  • JQuery Dragging Outside Parent

    I'm using JQuery's draggable(); to make li elements draggable. The only problem is when the element is dragged outside its parent, it doesn't show up. That is, it doesn't leave the confines of its parent div. An example is here: http://imgur.com/N2N1L.png - it's as if the z-index for everything else has greater priority (and the element slides under everything). Afer going into the source code of the page, I found that those drop-down areas are contained in divs with class fOut. It turns out that this is being done with MooTools.   • Attaching event on the fly with prototype

    Hi, I've been scratching my head over this for an hour... I have a list of todo which has done button on each item. Every time a user clicks on that, it's supposed to do an Ajax call to the server, calling the marking function then updates the whole list. The problem I'm facing is that the new list has done buttons as well on each item. And it doesn't attach the click event anymore after first update. How do you attach an event handler on newly updated element with prototype?     In my global.asax I have url routing setup like below: routes.MapPageRoute("User Logon", "{Vendor}/Logon", "~/Logon.aspx"); In the logon.aspx page, I have a script that "stylizes" the logon button: <link href="jquery/css/flick/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <link href="images/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" /> <script src="jquery/js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="jquery/js/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function () { $('#<%= ButtonLogon.ClientID %>').button(); }); </script> When I access the page us a url (in debug mode) http://localhost/logon.aspx?v=1 the page loads correctly and the jquery button command loads correctly. But then I access the page using the new url route, I get this error. Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object expected Anyone have an idea why this occurs? Thanks.

  • iPad width in viewport settings overflowing past device width

    I am at my wit's end here, and I beseech the fine folks here at stackoverflow for help. I am working on a design for a blog for a friend of mine, and I'm working in HTML5. I am trying to get the width of the page to span the width of an iPad. So, in my document head, I have the following: <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0"> Now, if you go to the index page, on an iPad, it looks just fine. The width of the page spans the width of the iPad in portrait mode, as I expect it to: http://www.alanreuterart.com/femmegamers/index.html It also looks fine on any individual blog posts as well. However, on the "about" and "join" pages, the width does not do this. It's actually overflowing past the length of the iPad to the right. View the following page on an iPad to see what I mean: http://www.alanreuterart.com/femmegamers/about.html I've tried everything. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to get it those two pages to correctly span the device width of the iPad. One important note, though: before anyone tells me to set my viewport width to 960, I cannot do that because the pages have media queries in them to convert to a mobile layout for the iPhone and other mobile phones.   • jQuery AJAX with two domains

    OK here is the situation: I have an externally hosted CMS which works great for 99% of our needs. However on the more advanced things I inject my own CSS+JS and do magic. The problem I am running into is loading a simple HTML page from jQuery.ajax() calls. It appears to work in the sense that no warnings or errors are thrown; however in my success handler (which IS ran), the response is blank! I have been scratching my head for the whole morning trying to figure this out and the only thing I can think of is that is has something to do with the cross domain issue (even though it appears to work). This JS file resides @ http://apps.natronacounty-wy.gov/css/js/feecalc.js however the CMS website (which gets the JS injected into it) resides @ http://www.natronacounty-wy.gov/ Am I just being stupid or is it a bug that it looks like it should be working but isn't?

  • How do I get Google Chrome's root bookmarks folder?

    Hi, I'm trying to write a better bookmark manager in chrome extensions. The problem is there are no simple examples (that I can find) about how to actually use the bookmarks api (available here: http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/bookmarks.html ) I've looked at the example source (when I d/led and installed it on my computer it didn't do anything except provide a search box. Typing/typing and pressing return failed to do anything) and can't find anything useful. My ultimate goal is to make an extension that allows me to save pages to come and read later without having to go sign up for an account on some service somewhere. So I plan to create either one or two bookmark folders in the root folder/other bookmarks - at minimum an "unread pages" folder. In that folder I'll create the unread bookmarks. When the user marks the item as read, it will be removed from that folder. So that's what I'm trying to do... any help will be greatly appreciated, even if it's just pointing me to some good examples.     How do I get started designing and implementing a script interface for my .NET application? There is VSTA (the .NET equivalent of VBA for COM), but as far as I understand I would have to pay a license fee for every installation of my application. It is an open source application so this will not work. There is also e.g. the embedding of interpreters (IronPython?), but I don't understand how this would allow exposing an "object model" (see below) to external (or internal) scripts. What is the scripting interface story in .NET? Is it somehow trivial in .NET to do this? Background: I have once designed and implemented a fairly involved script interface for a Macintosh application for acquisition and analysis of data from a mass spectrometer (Mac OS, System 7) and later a COM interface for a Windows application. Both were designed with an "object model" and classes (that can have properties). These are overloaded words, but in a scripting interface context object model is essentially a containment hiarchy of objects of specific classes. Classes have properties and lists of contained objects. E.g. like in the COM interfaces exposed in Microsoft Office applications, where the application object can be used to add to its list of documents (with the side effect of creating the GUI representation of a document). External scripts can create new objects in a container and navigate through the content of the hiarchy at any given time. In the Macintosh case scripts could be written in e.g. AppleScript or Frontier. On the Macintosh the implementation of a scripting interface was very complicated. Support for it in Metroworks' C++ class library (the name escapes me right now) made it much simpler.

  • Relative Paths in .htaccess, how to attach to a variable?

    I have a very heavy htaccess mod_rewrite file that runs my application. As we sometimes take over legacy websites, I sometimes need to support old urls to old files, where my application processes everything post htaccess. My ultimate goal is to have a 'Demilitarized Zone' for old file structures, and use mod rewrite to check for existence there before pushing to the application. This is pretty easy to do with files, by using: RewriteCond %{IS_SUBREQ} true RewriteRule .* - [L] RewriteCond %{ENV:REDIRECT_STATUS} 200 RewriteRule .* - [L] RewriteCond Public/DMZ/$1 -F [OR] RewriteRule ^(.*)$ Public/DMZ/$1 [QSA,L] This allows pseudo support for relative urls by not hardcoding my base path (I cant assume I will ever be deployed in document root) anywhere and using subrequests to check for file existence. Works fine if you know the file name, ie http://domain.com/path/to/app/legacyfolder/index.html However, my legacy urls are typically http://domain.com/path/to/app/legacyfolder/ Mod_Rewrite will allow me to check for this by using -d, but it needs the complete path to the directory, ie RewriteCond Public/DMZ/$1 -F [OR] RewriteCond /var/www/path/to/app/Public/DMZ/$1 -d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ Public/DMZ/$1 [QSA,L] I want to avoid the hardcoded base path. I can see one possible solutions here, somehow determining my path and attaching it to a variable [E=name:var] and using it in the condition. Any implementation that allows me to existence check a directory is more than welcome.

I have jQuery setup like so: $('.control').click(function(){ var master = $(this).parent().parent(); var first_div = $(master).find(".first-div"); var second_div = $(master).find(".second-div"); $(first_div).toggleClass("hidden") $(second_div).toggleClass("hidden") }); This setup toggles the visibility of the divs, click the control button it hides one div and show the other. However this just hides and shows each div in a flash. I am looking to add some animation to the transitioning of the divs, maybe have one slide up and the other slide down when the 'control' is clicked and vice versa but I am unable to achieve this. Could anyone help out and give some advice on how to do this? Cheer Eef

  • Django Template For Loop Removing <img> Self-Closing

    Django's for loop seems to be removing all of my <img> tag's self-closing...ness (/>). In the Template, I have this code: {% for item in item_list %} <li> <a class="left" href="{{ item.url }}">{{ item.name }}</a> <a class="right" href="{{ item.url }}"> <img src="{{ item.icon.url }}" alt="{{ item.name }} Logo." /> </a> </li> {% endfor %} It outputs this: <li> <a class="left" href="/some-url/">This is an item</a> <a class="right" href="/some-url/"> <img src="/media/img/some-item.jpg" alt="This is an item Logo."> </a> </li> As you can see, the <img> tag is no longer closed, and thus the page doesn't validate. This isn't a huge issue since it'll still render properly in all browsers, but I'd like to know how to solve it. I've tried wrapping the whole for loop in {% autoescape off %}...{% endautoescape %} but that didn't change anything. All other self-closed <img> tags in the document outside the for loop still properly close.

  • SharePoint randomly replacing file names in web parts?

    Ok SharePoint is driving me crazy and I need to see if anyone has encountered a similar problem or knows of a solution: I have a content editor webpart with some HTML including links to PDF files that I've modified slightly to append an employee number querystring ie: <a href="http://moss.company.com/group/home/EPermits /Blank%20Form%20Templates/_blank_breach_permit.pdf?empNum=">New Breach Permit</a> And SharePoint seems to randomly replace the filename with aab04168 or some other similar characters: <a href="http://moss.company.com/group/home/EPermits /Blank%20Form%20Templates/aab04168?empNum=">New Breach Permit</a> After this happened a few times with no explanation I tried changing the content editor webpart to look directly at a documentLinks.html file located in the Shared Documents folder of the SharePoint site and guess what... SharePoint edited that document and replaced my filenames with random characters in there too! Figuring that filenames beginning with an underscore could be triggering some internal SharePoint procedures I've renamed all the files to remove the starting underscore--unfortunately the problem isn't immediately reproducible and I'm waiting right now to see if I run into any more trouble. edit: the underscore in the filename didn't help... my documentLinks.html wound up getting modified and all the hrefs were replaced with random characters again. Now I'm setting the hrefs in javascript with the filename text concatenated together from multiple strings. linkEle.href = ".../EPermits/Blank%20Form%20Templates/blank" + "_Chemical_Usage.pdf?empNum=" + empNumber;

    I'm using a bit of jQuery to expand/hide some divs. I need to add an event handler so that when a link is clicked, it opens a corrisponding div. Each toggled div will have a unique class assigned to it. I am looking for some advice about how to build the event handler.   • Hibernate noob fetch join problem

    Hi all I have two classes, Test2 and Test3. Test2 has an attribute test3 that is an instance of Test3. In other words, I have a unidirectional OneToOne association, with test2 having a reference to test3. When I select Test2 from the db, I can see that a separate select is being made to get the details of the associated test3 class. This is the famous 1+N selects problem. To fix this to use a single select, I am trying to use the fetch=join annotation, which I understand to be @Fetch(FetchMode.JOIN) However, with fetch set to join, I still see separate selects. Here are the relevant portions of my setup.. hibernate.cfg.xml: <property name="max_fetch_depth">2</property> Test2: public class Test2 { @OneToOne (cascade=CascadeType.ALL , fetch=FetchType.EAGER) @JoinColumn (name="test3_id") @Fetch(FetchMode.JOIN) public Test3 getTest3() { return test3; } NB I set the FetchType to EAGER out of desperation, even though it defaults to EAGER anyway for OneToOne mappings, but it made no difference. Thanks for any help! Edit: I've pretty much given up on trying to use FetchMode.JOIN - can anyone confirm that they have got it to work ie produce a left outer join? In the docs I see that "Usually, the mapping document is not used to customize fetching. Instead, we keep the default behavior, and override it for a particular transaction, using left join fetch in HQL" If I do a left join fetch instead: query = session.createQuery("from Test2 t2 left join fetch t2.test3"); then I do indeed get the results I want - ie a left outer join in the query.

  • Getting jQuery datepicker to attach to a TextBox within a ListView

    I am using the jQuery Datepicker without any problem for TextBox controls that are non-templated. However, I am unable to get the datepicker to work with a TextBox that is in an EditItemTemplate of a ListView control.   • How to make Web Storage persistent in Cordova using JS?

    I have a small quiz app, which is a cross-platform mobile app, that I plan for it to run on Android, iOS, and WP8. I want to store a local highscore, where it will keep track how many points the user had, and if he/she does better than the already stored highscore, update the current highscore. Though, I want the highscore to be persistent, what I mean is, every time the user opens the app I want the last highscore to be present and it to be compared with the new quiz score. Meaning, I don't want the highscore to be deleted after each time the app is closed. I also want for the first time when the app is ran, the highscore to be set to 0, so obviously the first time the user finishes the quiz gets a new highscore. I have those codes so far: scoredb.js // Wait for device API libraries to load document.addEventListener("deviceready", initScoreDB, false); // Device APIs are available function initScoreDB() { window.localStorage.setItem("score", 0); highscore = window.localStorage.getItem("score"); } main.js var correct = 0; var highscore; // In between I have some code that keeps incrementing // correct variable for each correct answer. if (correct > highscore) { window.localStorage.setItem("score", correct); highscore = correct; } It does seem to work okay once the app is started. I did the quiz three times, in the simulator, and it keeps the score as it should. Though, each time I open the app, highscore is reseted to 0. I guess it is due to the fact that I call initScoreDB when the device is ready, and I initialize the score to 0 there and give that value to highscore. Can someone help me to initialize the score to 0 only when the app is ran for the first time, and all the other times to keep the latest highscore as the current highscore and compare it each time with the score that is achieved when the quiz is finished. If someone can help me, I would be glad.
