  • CodeIgniter not working on PHP 4 server without .htaccess availability

    Hi All, Basically i developed my app on a localhost wamp server with PHP 5. ON uploading to the actual host i notice that The server is running php 4.4.9 Everytime i upload my .htaccess file, the server removes it completely.. seems to not be allowed When i test out the set all i get is a 404 page not found Any help on how to make it work on this PHP 4 server?

    Greetings, I have a custom validation in my exemplary Movie model: class Movie < ActiveRecord::Base validate :it, :on => :create private def it self.errors.add 'foo', 'bar' end end This works on movie creation but also on updating an existing movie. :on => :update will also work for both.     I am trying to set up a new GitHub account as part of learning ruby on rails. My OS is windows. I am having the following problem while trying to add my public key to the GitHub SSH public keys. When I put the key in the text area, supply a name, and click 'Add Key', I am taken to the Job profile page without any confirmation that the key has been added.(I am using SSH client GUI to generate RSA keys). When I come back to the SSH public keys page, I see that the key is not there. I tried this multiple times...without any result.     Hi, I am changing the image in UIImageView based on accelerometer input. The images are stored in an array. The application runs fine for a while and then crashes. warning: check_safe_call: could not restore current frame I am not using "UIImage ImageNamed" method when populating the array. The total size of all images is around 12 Mb. But individual images are very light (<100 kb) and i am using only one image at a time from the array. Just in case there are any autoreleases, I have allocated a NSAutoreleasePool in view did load and am draining it in the didReceiveMemoryWarning method (which does get called 2, 3 times before the app crashes?). There are two development teams/divisions within our company who each maintain public websites on these same servers. Is there a way through ACLs or some sort of rights management (e.g. individual logins) that I would only be able to see and maintain only my public sites and the other development team could only see and maintain their sites?     Why would you use DLLSelfRegister in a VB deployment package? I am trying to sort out possible conflict problems with a calendar control: msacal70.ocx. Apparently there is a conflict with newer Office calendar controls. I noticed the setup.lst for the VB deployment package uses DLLSelfRegister for this control. What are the effects of allowing a DLL to self-register and would removing DLLSelfRegister cause the ocx to register during installation of the package?

    .NET provides a great library for working with SMTP for sending messages, however, there is not an implementation of a Pop3 client, or IMAP client for working with receiving e-mail from a mail host. Does anyone know of a good component that can provide Pop, IMAP, or both support? I know that code project has implementations, but from my experience finding a "good" one is hard.
