  • How to configure Spring JavaMailSenderImpl for Gmail

    I am trying to find the correct properties to use to connect to the Gmail SMTP sever using the JavaMailSenderImpl class. Let me first say that I have tried the approach found here. This worked fine. But when I tried the configuration below that post with the exact same authentication information I received a javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException. My currently configuration looks like this. <bean id="mailSender" class ="org.springframework.mail.javamail.JavaMailSenderImpl" > <property name="username" value="[email protected]" /> <property name="password" value="XXX" /> <property name="javaMailProperties"> <props> <prop key="mail.smtp.host">smtp.gmail.com</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.port">587</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.auth">true</prop> <prop key="mail.smtp.starttls.enable">true</prop> </props> </property> </bean> Why am I still getting this javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException if I know that my credentials are correct.     I have a login view controller that has a button and a UI text view that becomes the first responder. When the button is clicked it loads the forgot view controller and a new UI textview becomes the first responder. When I dissmis the modal view controller the keyboard also gets dismissed and when I load the forgot view controller again the keyboard will not pop up as the first responder.   • objective-c uncompress/inflate a NSData object which contains a gzipped string

    Hi, I'm using objective-c (iPhone) to read a sqlite table that contains blob data. The blob data is actually a gzipped string. The blob data is read into memory as an NSData object I then use a method (gzipInflate) which I grabbed from here (http://www.cocoadev.com/index.pl?NSDataCategory) -- see method below. However, the gzipInflate method is returning nil. If I step through the gzipInflate method, I can see that the status returned near the bottom of the method is -3, which I assume is some type of error (Z_STREAM_END = 1 and Z_OK = 0, but I don't know precisely what a status of -3 is). Consequently, the function returns nil even though the input NSData is 841 bytes in length. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Is there something wrong with the method? Something wrong with how I'm using the method? Any thoughts on how to test this?     Hi, I have a php login which sets 2 cookies once some one login. the problem is that if you login from : http://www.mydomain.com and you go to http://mydomain.com you will find your self not logged in, I think that's because the browser only send the cookies to the first syntax. It's only one domain, the difference is the www. before the domain name, so how to set cookies to the whole domain whatever there is www. or not ? Thanks

    Dear All, my socket library which is implemented using winsock2 is working properly. But when ESET Nod32 installed on the computer, connect() function returns 0(zero) ,that is success, even if remote host is not available. I looked with netstat -b command and saw that ekrn.exe is accepting the client. And after couple of seconds it sends zero byte of information,which means graceful close.     We have installed Cygwin on a Windows Server 2008 Standard server and it working pretty well. Unfortunately we still have a big problem. We want to connect using a public key through SSH which doesn't work. It always falls back to using password login. We have appended our public key to ~/.ssh/authorized_keys on the server and we have our private and public key in ~/.ssh/id_dsa respective ~/.ssh/id_dsa.pub on the client. I wondering if there was a System Property or environment variable that we could provide at start up that would allow us to have all expired cert's ignored for now, or even be more specific and provide externally the specific cert that we would like to have the expiration ignored.     I have the following code: [NSTimer scheduledTimerWithTimeInterval:0.5 target:self selector:@selector(timerCount:) userInfo:nil repeats:YES]; -(void)timerCount:(NSTimer *)timer { NSTimeInterval dt = [timer timeInterval]; // do something } The NSTimeInterval I got will be 0.5, the time interval I've put on scheduledTimerWithInterval, this means the timerCount will be called each 0.5 seconds. But I now that there are some stuff as timeStamps, and I want to know if the NSTimer will call the timerCount method in PRECISELY 0.5 seconds each time.

    Hi, I'm interested in using Google App Engine to host a wiki. I've already seen the question here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/478760/what-cms-runs-on-google-app-engine about what's a good cms. That's really too broad for me. On my LAMP server I run dokuwiki and I'd really like something akin for the GAppEngine. Anyone know of something already developed or in development? Thanks, Grant

  • running a python script where dependencies are not avail: distributed computing

    Hi, I have access to a grid (running condor) that would (potentially) allow to very substantially reduce how long by nltk based nlp tasks take. unfortunately, i dont have root access on the cluster so cannot install new packages, only run whatever is available on the linux boxes. python is of course available, but nltk isnt - i was wondering however, if there might be a way around this somehow ? is there a way i can somehow still distribute the task in a self-contained 'package' of some sort?   • Avoid hardcoding iPhone screen size with programmatic view creation

    Hi, I was looking up how to create a view programmatically and found the following example code: self.view = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 480)]; This works great, except I don't like that it hardcodes the size of the screen. Is there a way to look up the size of the screen? An important point someone brought up is that if the app is running during a phone call then the screen will be slightly smaller because of the green "return to call" bar.
