  • Latex change color of intext citing with hyperref package and natbib

    I am using the natbib and hyperref package in conjunction with my latex document. I would like to change to the color of my hyppereferenced citations (the box around the citation) from the ugly baseline green to a more muted (violet or navy blue). However, in using the suggested code to do this, I can not get the citation link colors to change. My code is as follows \usepackage[usenames,dvipsnames]{color} \usepackage[round]{natbib} \usepackage[hyperfootnotes=false]{hyperref} \usepackage[hyperfootnotes=false]{hyperref} \hypersetup{ colorlinks=false, citecolor=Violet, linkcolor=Red, urlcolor=Blue} \begin{document} \bibliographystyle{apsr} \bibliography{exp_final} \end{document} However, when I compile (I compiled multiple times to make sure) this my pdf file looks the same as if I had excluded the formatting in the hypersetup (still the same ugly green).     I'm trying to iterate through all the empty textboxes in a table and change its background colour. I'm using the following JQuery code: $("#btn2").click(function() { var emptyTextBoxes = $('input:text').filter(function() { return this.value == ""; }); emptyTextBoxes.each(function() { this.css('background-color', '#ffff00'); // $('#Col3Txtbx').css('background-color', '#ffff00'); }); }); This does not seem to refer to the textbox which seems strange to me. When I uncomment out the particular textbox, it does reset the background colour. Can someone explain to me what 'This' is referring to?

  • Rotation towards an object in 3d space

    hello, i have two coordinates on a 2d plane in 3d space, and am trying to rotate one coordinate (a vector) to face the other coordinate. my vertical axis is the y-axis, so if both of the coordinates are located flat on the 2d plane, they would both have a y-axis of 0, and their x and z coordinates determine their position length/width-wise on the plane. right now, i'm calculating the angle like so (language agnostic): angle = atan2(z2-z1,x2-x1); and am rotating/translating in space like so: pushMatrix(); rotateY(angle); popMatrix(); this doesn't seem to be working though. are my calculations/process correct?

    Can anyone give me a quick rundown of the color syntax meanings in xcode? I am running into some problems and understanding the color coding I am sure will help me out. Currently I have some variables that are light blue and I think they need to be black but I am not sure of the difference? masterViewController=[[UINavigationController alloc] initWithDestination: destination]; I believe my masterViewController here should be colored black and not the light blue it is currently colored - I am assuming I defined or initialized something wrong somewhere. First day in xCode so I am pretty damn confused!

  • LaTeX - vertical space equivalent of \makebox ?

    I'm making a LaTeX document and I'm getting success with \makebox, which puts text in an invisible box and will add extra horizontal whitespace to the end to make the whole thing fit within the size you specify. Is there something like that for vertical space? I have a few variable length paragraphs, images, etc. that I want to put in this vertical box. I want LaTeX to put in the right amount of vertical space (at the bottom) so that the whole thing is of the set size that I give it.

    I have the following functions for colorizing my screen messages: def error(string): return '\033[31;1m' + string + '\033[0m' def standout(string): return '\033[34;1m' + string + '\033[0m' I use them as follows: print error('There was a problem with the program') print "This is normal " + standout("and this stands out") I want to log the output to a file (in addition to STDOUT) WITHOUT the ANSI color codes, hopefully without having to add a second "logging" line to each print statement. The reason is that if you simply python program.py > out then the file out will have the ANSI color codes, which look terrible if you open in a plain text editor. Any advice?

    I need to check if I Filesystem exists, and if it does exist there is 300 MB of space in it. What I have so far: if [ "$(df -m /opt/IBM | grep -vE '^Filesystem' | awk '{print ($3)}')" < "300" ] then echo "not enough space in the target filesystem" exit 1 fi This throws an error.     Hello, I'm executing sql query on my database. I have SQL Server 2008 installed on my D harddrive which has 55 GB free space. I have also C drive which has sth like 150 MB free (right now). While executing that query on quite a big table (16 GB) I have an error: An error occurred while executing batch. Error message is: Not enough disk space. I would like to know if there is any possibility that I can make SQL Server to use D drive instead of C Or maybe there is any other problem with what I'm doing ? Thanks for help

    Hello, I am developing a active messaging protocol for parallel computation that replaces TCP/IP. My goal is to decrease the latency of a packet. Since the environment is a LAN, i can replace TCP/IP with simpler protocol to reduce the packet latency. I am not writing any device driver and i am just trying to replace the TCP/IP stack with something simpler. Now I wanted to avoid copying of a packet's data from user space to kernel space and vice-versa. I heard of the mmap(). Is it the best way to do this?   • Changing The Underlying Background Color Of A Swing Window

    As discussed here, when resizing a Swing application in Vista (and Windows 7, which is what I'm using) you get a black background in the right/bottom corner while Swing's repaint catches up to the changes. Playing with other applications (Windows Explorer (Native), Firefox (C++?), and Eclipse (Java)) I notice that they all have this same problem - contrary to what the folks in the link above say - but they minimize the problem by having a grey fill color, which is far less visually jarring than the black that appears in Swing. I'm wondering if there's some way to change this so that Swing behaves like these other applications? I tried setting the background color of the JFrame, but to no avail.

    2 questions, i was doing nothing productive, and tried selecting the google home page (a left click drag and select whole page) on google.com i see that beside the search box, on the left side, there is an empty space &nbsp; i looked up the source code and there indeed was a <td width=25%>&nbsp;</td> stupid as it may sound, but i was still curious to know why the blank space is out there..or is it just a simple typo?? :) also, any idea what window.lol&&lol() does? curious yet again, google search didnt get me any result and i thought i would turn to stackoverflow to enlighten me... thanks, ivar

I am using the Codeigniter framework but I am not sure if the problem lies there. Also using %20 or just a space in the url bar produces no different results.
