    I need to create multiple /testcontainer: parameters to feed into a task that exec's MsTest. I have the following : <ItemGroup> <TestFiles Include="$(ProjectPath)\**\UnitTest.*.dll" /> </ItemGroup> for each match in TestFiles I would like to build a string like so: "/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary1.dll" "/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary2.dll" "/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary3.dll" I am trying to use the internals of MSBuild without having to create a custom task, is this possible ?   • How do you make a WiX project build when dependent files have changes?

    Hi, I've adopted a Visual Studio solution that contains a number WiX projects. We build the solution from an MsBuild script to generate the product's installer msi. The problem I'm experiencing is that if I build (and don't rebuild), even if exe's and dll's get updated that need to be put in the installer, the WiX build system doesn't seem to detect this and skips building the installer as it thinks it's already up to date. How do I work out what the dependencies are that are needed to build a WiX project, and how do I tell the Wix build system to watch out for them changing so it knows to build instead of skip?

    Is there a way to open multiple AI files (say 3 individual files) and somehow save in a way that I can open the same 3 files simultaneously in the future? I always want the multiple files to open together. Situation: We design products with AI. A single product may have multiple versions. The designer typically creates 1 AI file, then puts all versions of the product in the single file. I need them to put each version in a separate file for an integration project, but this creates more work for them. The solution I'm looking for would allow them to open all the relevant AI file and somehow same them all as a group. Next time, they open the group and all AI files open together. Thank you

  • When using source control, what files should actually be commited?

    I am working on a small project, hosted on Google Code, using SVN for source control. This is my first time using source control, and I'm a bit confused about what I should actually be committing to the repository. My project is very simple: A Class Library project, written in C#. The actual code that I have written is a single file. My question is this: Should I be committing the entire project (including directories like Debug, Release, Properties, etc.) or just my main .cs file?   • Can Apache httpd be made to log errors to console instead of log files?

    I'm doing infrequent development with Apache/PHP on my Windows machine so I've opted to run apache as a console process instead of a service. It would be nice if errors could be logged to the console window instead of a logfile so I can see them immediately. Can this be done somehow? It doesn't seem that apache has such a capability built in and I can't find a mod that would do this either.

    Hi So I found this page http://blog.lavablast.com/post/2009/05/YUI-Compressor-for-Visual-Studio.aspx and how to put YUI compressor into Visual studios(I am using visual studios 2010 express). So it got me thinking can I somehow set it in my project to always take my "development scripts" and minify them automatically. Right now if I make a change to my script I have to remember to minify it once I am done otherwise I could be using a out to day version. So it would be cool if I could just set up like so when I build it takes all my development scripts and then minifys them. How could I do something like this?

  • How to play a set of jpeg files as a movie?

    I have a set of jpeg images where eacg image has an associated description. e.g. im1.jpg - suspect enters bank im7.jpg - suspect hands teller a note imj41.jpg - teller gives suspect a bag ... ... It's trivial to view these images individually and see the description but how do I play this as a movie? I need to play the images and when I encounter one with a description, display the description in a status pane. Do I need to convert the images into a movie, if so how? How do I get the player to notify me when the description frame is encountered? I'm using Windows. language doesn't matter, I just need the concept right now.

    I'm using MLDBM to persist some Perl data structures and I'm wondering if there's an alternative to the following: tie %hash, "MLDBM", $dbm_file, O_CREAT | O_RDWR, 0644; Primarily, I'd like to be able to use STDOUT, rather than a known file name. This could then be redirected to a file on the shell-side. I've been searching with keywords like "tie", "DBM" and "filehandle", but the hits tend to talk about tying filehandles to things, as opposed to things to filehandles. Any suggestions?

  • Function defined but not used warning in C

    I have a number of C source files(both .c and .h files). header files contains a number of functions. Out of those functions, only partially are used in a source .C file.Suppose a.h,b.h are header files and a.c and b.c are .c files. a.h is included in a.c. But only a number of functions those are in a. h are used and rest are not used. After compilation I find following warnings: function XXXX defined but not used. But those XXXX functions which are not used in a.c are used in b.c. So, i can't completely remove those functions too. So , i decided to make a separate file containing only those XXXX functions and included it wherever it is used.Doing this is creating multiple number of header files. Can anybody please suggest me to some effective way to solve this problem.

    I have an app, where there's one UIWebView and a UITableView. I don't want to create many .xib's, so I decided to make one .xib for all elements of the table. When user chooses a table element, the UIWebView appears and I want it to load data from different .html's depending on the name of the parent controller. I tried this: if (selectedTableElement==@"FirstElement") { [childController.message loadRequest:[NSURLRequest requestWithURL:[NSURL fileURLWithPath:[[NSBundle mainBundle] pathForResource:@"_" ofType:@"html"]isDirectory:NO]]]; } And then myWebView=message; But it didn't work.   • Apache file caching

    How does apache handle caching of certain files, and is it possible to explicitly say that certain files should be aggressively cached more than others, through the standard config files for a given host or virtualhost? To put it in context, I keep a lot of site content in various XML files, and I'd like to be able to say that this file will be used a lot, and therefore cache it as much as possible..? Does apache do this kind of thing intelligently and on the fly..? Will it observe which files are more popular than others and try to match cache hits appropriately..? Lots of questions in one, but the basic idea should be clear enough. edit: to be clear, these are resource files which are loaded and interpreted by PHP - but php as a process is spawned inside apache.. right? Please help!
