• PHP5 getrusage() returning incorrect information?

  I'm trying to determine CPU usage of my PHP scripts. I just found this article which details how to find system and user CPU usage time (Section 4). However, when I tried out the examples, I received completely different results. The first example: sleep(3); $data = getrusage(); echo "User time: ". ($data['ru_utime.tv_sec'] + $data['ru_utime.tv_usec'] / 1000000); echo "System time: ". ($data['ru_stime.tv_sec'] + $data['ru_stime.tv_usec'] / 1000000); Results in: User time: 29.53 System time: 2.71 Example 2: for($i=0;$i<10000000;$i++) { } // Same echo statements Results: User time: 16.69 System time: 2.1 Example 3: $start = microtime(true); while(microtime(true) - $start < 3) { } // Same echo statements Results: User time: 34.94 System time: 3.14 Obviously, none of the information is correct except maybe the system time in the third example. So what am I doing wrong? I'd really like to be able to use this information, but it needs to be reliable. • scanf a byte then print it out?

  I've searched around to see if I can find this answer but I can't seem to (please let me know if I'm wrong). I am trying to use scanf to read in a byte, an unsigned int and a char in one .c file and I am trying to access this byte in a different .c file and print it out. (I have already checked to make sure I have included all the appropriate parameters everywhere) But I keep getting errors.   In my code I try to handle ZoneLocalMapping.ResultType.Ambiguous. The line unambiguousLocalDateTime = localDateTimeMapping.EarlierMapping; throws an InvalidOperationException with message "EarlierMapping property should not be called on a result of type Ambiguous". I have no clue how I should handle it. Can you give me an example?   I'm currently trying to make a class that can register strings as identifiers and accociate them with different types of Enumerations, these enumerations are being evaluated only in so much that I am ensuring that when it's used, that the parameter passed to broadcast (messageType) is an instance of the associated Enum Type. If not, an exception occurs complaining that the service is terminated because of doing nothing. Secondly, the service can be hooked up to windows smoothly. However, the service terminates a short while after it is started. I looked into the process monitor, only the service process stays alive for that short while, the javaw process never showed up, however. Is there anyone who knows how this can be fixed? It works fine in an ordinary console environment. I think it has something to do with Windows service.

  I need to execute the below command in command prompt. C:\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin>mysql -uroot -ppassword < d:/admindb/aar.sql When i do this manually in cmd, i am getting my results. Now i am trying to do this programatically, to execute it in cmd from c# code. I am using the below code to do it. I am not getting any errors and Result !!! When i debug, i get the value of string commandLine as below, "\"C:\\MySQL\\MySQL Server 5.0\\bin\\\" -uroot -ppassword > \"D:/admindb/AAR12.sql" I guess the problem is with this string, passed to cmd.   i have a database in MySql that has a name column in it which contains several words(description). I am connected to database with java through eclipse. • Dynamic evaluation of a table column within an insert before trigger

  HI All, I have 3 tables, main, types and linked. main has an id column and 32 type columns. types has id, type linked has id, main_id, type_id I want to create an insert before trigger on the main table. It needs to compare its 32 type columns to the values in the types table if the main table column has an 'X' for its value and insert the main_id and types_id into the linked table. i have done a lot of searching, and it looks like a prepared statement would be the way to go, but i wanted to ask the experts. The issue, is i dont want to write 32 IF statements, and even if i did, i need to query the types table to get the ID for that type, seems like a huge waist of resources. Ideally i want to do this inside of my trigger: BEGIN DECLARE @types results_set -- (not sure if this is a valid type); -- (iam sure my loop syntax is all wrong here)... SET @types = (select * from types) for i=0;i<types.records;i++ { IF NEW.[i.type] = 'X' THEN insert into linked (main_id,type_id) values (new.ID, i.id); END IF; } END; Anyway, This is what i was hoping to do, maybe there is a way to dynamically set the field name inside of a results loop, but i cant find a good example of this. • JAXB code generation: how to remove a zero occurrence field?

  Hi all, I use JAXB 2.1 to generate Java classes from several XSD files, and I have a problem related to complex type restriction. On of the restrictions modifies the occurence configuration from minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" to minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="0". Thus this field is not needed anymore in the restricted type. But actually JAXB generates the restricted class with a [0..1] cardinality instead of 0. By the way the generation is tuned with <xjc:treatRestrictionLikeNewType / so that a XSD restriction is not mapped to a Java class inheritance. Here is an example: Here is the way a field is defined in a complex type A: <element name="qualifier" type="CR" maxOccurs="unbounded" minOccurs="0"/ Here is the way the same field is restricted in another complex type B that restricts A: <element name="qualifier" type="CR" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="0"/ In the A generated class I have: @XmlElement(name = "qualifier") protected List<CR qualifiers; And in the B generated class I have: protected CR qualifiers; With my poor understanding of JAXB the absence of the XmlElement annotation tells JAXB not to marshall/unmarshall this field. Am I wrong? If I am right is there a way to tell JAXB not to generate the qualifiers field at all? This would be in my opinion a much better generation as it respects the constraints. Any idea, thougths on the topic? Thanks!!

• Use JQuery to check a checkbox in a parent list-item?

  Hey Everyone, I'm brand new to Javascript and JQuery, so I've been reading up on it and am trying to check (and set inactive) a checkbox in a parent list-item when one of the children are checked. If this doesn't make any sense, take a look at the list structure. <ul> <li><input type="checkbox" name="items[]" value="88712003" id="88712003" /> Parent 1</li> <li><input type="checkbox" name="items[]" value="88712003" id="88712003" /> Parent 2 <ul> <li><input type="checkbox" name="items[]" value="21312341" id="21312341" /> Child 1</li> <li><input type="checkbox" name="items[]" value="21312341" id="21312341" /> Child 2</li> </ul> </li> <li><input type="checkbox" name="items[]" value="88712003" id="88712003" /> Parent 3</li> <li><input type="checkbox" name="items[]" value="88712003" id="88712003" /> Parent 4</li> </ul> If Child 1 or Child 2 is checked, I want the input in Parent 2 to be checked and set inactive. • Safari and Chrome back button changes hidden and submit values in forms

  The following problem happens on both Safari and Chrome, so probably a WebKit issue. Page A: a page that requires you to login to see, contains a form that has a type=submit button, with name=submit, and value=a Page B: some other page Page C: ask user to login page, contains a form with a type=submit button, with name=submit and value=c User visits page A, then page B. Then idles and the user's login session times out. User hits back button to go back to page A. Browser redirects user to page C. On Safari and Chrome, when C is rendered, the form on page C has the type=submit button, name=submit, but value shows up as "a". If you reload while on page C, "c" appears as the value of the name=submit button. The same problem appears with type=hidden input fields; when user hits back button, their values are also changed to some other value from some other form. Also, this problem also shows up w/o the redirect, with just submit then back. In this case the previous page renders with incorrect values for hidden and submit CGI variables. So far the only fix I can come up with is use Javascript to reset the type=hidden and type=submit variable values, after page C loads, to make sure the values are correct. But that's not clean and universally applicable. Short of WebKit fixing this error, has anyone ran into a better workaround? Thanks.

• C++ NetUserAdd() not working?

  I posted earlier about how to do this, and got some great replies, and have managed to get the code written based off the MSDN example. However, it does not seem to be working properly. Its printing out the ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED message, but im not sure why as I am running it as a full admin. I was initially trying to create a USER_PRIV_ADMIN, but the MSDN said it can only use USER_PRIV_USER, but sadly neither work. Im hoping someone can spot a mistake or has an idea.
