  • Grails populate params with XML from POST request

    I have a RestFull grails api that i expose through grails Controller. I need to automatically bind the xml data sent in a POST request. I don't think using groovy bindData(object,params) works as the params reference seems not having the xml elements. i use the parseRequest=true in the UrlMappings but yet the params Object does'nt have the xml elements. am i missing some other config so that my params object get automatically populated with the xml body elements?

  • How do I properly register the Type Library of A VB.NET COM+ Component?

    I am looking to upgrade legacy VB6 COM+ components to VB.NET components. I have seemingly upgraded one already, called EventPackage, which has one class, IEventListener. Another, TradeOrders, Implements EventPackage.IEventListener. When attempting to build TradeOrders, I get the following Errors/Warnings; Cannot load type library for reference "EventPackage". Library not registered. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8002801D (TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED)) The referenced component 'EventPackage' could not be found. Type 'EventPackage.IEventListener' is not defined. In the .vbproj, I notice this reference <COMReference Include="EventPackage"> <Guid>{0D76C094-21A6-4E04-802B-6E539F7102D7}</Guid> <Lcid>0</Lcid> <VersionMajor>2</VersionMajor> <VersionMinor>0</VersionMinor> <WrapperTool>tlbimp</WrapperTool> </COMReference> When I search the registry for this Guid, I find nothing. When using GUIDs for similar COM+ objects, I find them in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{...}\TypeLib ("..." being the GUID of the other component). When I go to the registry key name corresponding to EventPackage.IEventListener, I find that there is no \TypeLib subkey. As you might suspect, searching the reg for "0D76C094-21A6-4E04-802B-6E539F7102D7" yields no results. So I know this must be a registry problem, But I have tried seemingly every google result I have found. I have tried Regasm and regsvcs .exe's to no avail. Many pages just tell me that dragging the dll to the COM+ manager should automatically register the component. So how do I register the Type library? Details on how I made EventPackage COM+ component Ran the VB6-VB.NET wizard Then I added some lines to the assemblyinfo.vb file added Imports System.EnterpriseServices added Imports System.EnterpriseServices Imports System.Data.SqlClient <Assembly: CLSCompliant(True)> <Assembly: AssemblyKeyFileAttribute("...")> for a strong name <Assembly: Guid("...")> (Where "..." is the COM+ CLSID of the old component) I added the following to the class file IEventListener.VB Imports System.EnterpriseServices <ComClass("...")> _ (Where ... is the proper COM+ CLSID, that is the only argument) Inherits ServicedComponent changed the ID made by the Conversion wizard to the proper value (from <System.Runtime.InteropServices.ProgId("IEventListener_NET.IEventListener)> to <System.Runtime.InteropServices.ProgId("EventPackage.IEventListener")> _ Then I dragged the DLL into the COM+ manager in the proper COM+ application (although, the "Path" is not specified and only says mscoree.dll)

  • Attempt to use a while loop for the 'next' arg of a for loop generates #arg error

    Am attempting to teach myself to program using Tcl. The task i've set myself to motivate my learning of Tcl is to solve the 8 queens problem. My approach to creating a program is to successively 'prototype' a solution. I have asked an earlier question related to the correctly laying out the nested for loops and received a helpful answer. To my dismay I find that the next development of my code creates the same interpreter error : "wrong # args" I have been careful to have an open brace at the end of the line preceding the while loop command. I've also tried to put the arguments of the whileloop in braces. This generates a different error. I have sincerely tried to understand the Tcl syntax man page - not too successfully - suggested by the answerer of my earlier question.   • Writing a printList method for a Scheme interpreter in C

    I am new to C and working on making an interpreter for Scheme. I am trying to get a suitable printList method to traverse through the structure. The program takes in an input like: (a (b c)) and internally represent it as: [""][ ][ ]--> [""][ ][/] | | ["A"][/][/] [""][ ][ ]--> [""][ ][/] | | ["B"][/][/] ["C"][/][/] Right now, I just want the program to take in the input, make the appropriate cell structure internally and print out the cell structure, thereby getting (a (b c)) at the end. Here is my struct: typedef struct conscell *List; struct conscell { char symbol; struct conscell *first; struct conscell *rest; }; void printList(char token[20]){ List current = S_Expression(token, 0); printf("("); printf("First Value? %c \n", current->first->symbol); printf("Second value? %c \n", current->rest->first->first->symbol); printf("Third value? %c \n", current->rest->first->rest->first->symbol); printf(")"); } In the main method, I get the first token and call: printList(token); I tested the values again for the sublists and I think it is working. However, I will need a method to traverse through the whole structure. Please look at my printList code again. The print calls are what I have to type, to manually get the (a (b c)) list values. So I get this output: First value? a First value? b First value? c It is what I want, but I want a method to do it using a loop, no matter how complex the structure is, also adding brackets where appropriate, so in the end, I should get: (a (b c)) which is the same as the input. Can anyone please help me with this?

  • How do you make use of the provider independency in the Entity Framework?

    I'm trying to learn more about data access and the Entity Framework. My goal is to have a "provider independent" data access layer (to be able to switch easily e.g. from SQL Server to MySQL or vice versa), and since the EF is supposed to be provider independent it seems like a good way to go. But how do you use this provider independence? I mean, I was expecting to be able to sort of "program to an interface", and then just be able to switch database provider. But as far as I can tell I'm only getting a concrete type to program against, an "Entities" class, e.g. in my case it is: UserDBEntities _context = new UserDBEntities(); What I would have expected to be able to switch provider easily was to have an interface e.g. like IEntities _context = new UserDBEntities(); Sort of like I can do with datasets... But maybe that isn't how it works at all with EF? Or do you just switch provider in the connectionstring, and the model stays the same?? Please remember that I'm a complete newbie at this EF, and rather inexperienced with databases in general, so I would really appreciate if you could be as clear as possible :-)

  • [self removeFromSuperview] not doing dealloc

    i have this in the superview: mySubView = [[MySubView alloc] init]; [self addSubview:mySubView]; [mySubView release]; then at some point later, in the sub view, this: [self removeFromSuperview]; when i debug it, i notice that the dealloc for the subview is never called, even though i'm fairly sure the reference count should be 0. any ideas why this might be? thanks.

    Ok, so this week in class we're working with arrays. I've got an assignment that wanted me to create a structure for an employee containing an employee ID, first name, last name, and wages. Then it has me ask users for input for 5 different employees all stored in an array of this structure, then ask them for a search field type, then a search value. Lastly, display all the information for all positive search results. I'm still new, so I'm sure it isn't a terribly elegant program, but what I'm trying to do now is figure out how to compare a user entered string with the string stored in the structure... I thought would work, but it's giving me the following error.. Is there a way to compare two .name notated strings without totally revamping the program?     Ok, here is the think. I have a very simple flash program code in AS3, inside this program there is a dynamic textfield html capable. Also i have a database were i will put some information. Each element in the database can be linked to other. For example, this database will contain tourist spots, and they can be related with others in the same database. The information in the database is retrived by the flash application and it shows the text on the dynamic textfield. I need somehow to tell my flash application that have to be a link to other part of the database, so when the user click the link a function in flash call this new data. The database is a simple Mysql server, and the data is not yet in there, waiting for your suggestions of how to format it and develop the solution. Im a php developer too, so i can make a gateway in PHP to read the MySQL and then retrive some format to flash, an XML for example.

  • Suppress errors of files that are not set to be built from the "Error List" window

    I have some cs files in my project that are not set to be built (Properties - Build Action = None). They contain bits of code that don't compile as a whole and are there merely for reference. I don't care about any compilation errors in them, but they appear in the "Error List" window, cluttering it. Is there some way to tell VS to ignore errors in that file? Or in all files not set to be built, at that ? I'm using VS 2010 Thanks

  • Get metadata out of a webHttpBinding endpoint

    Hi, With a reference to my previous question, I would like to know how would I extract information of a WCF service from a client application to know what methods/types are exposed if the service exposes only one endpoint that uses webHttpBinding? Just to summarize, in my previous question, I came to know that an endpoint using webHttpBinding does not get exposed in the generated WSDL because it would be a JSON endpoint and is just not compatible.
