• Determining the word width in C

  Hi! I'm learning C right now and so I'm fiddling about with pointers. Is there a way to determine the word width of the CPU in C because I'm writing a small program which prints it's own stack (Because I'm curious how it is structured), so that information would come in handy. Right now I'm using an int pointer, as an integer is 4 Bytes wide and I'm using a 32-bit Intel Atom CPU. Thanks in advance, C gurus ;o)

• What's the simplest and most robust way to have constant-height submit button with rounded corners?

  Constant height so just left/right images should be necessary instead of having 4+, right? I'd still want top-to-bottom color gradient (and different one on hover). If possible, I'd prefer if it was still an <input type='submit'> and not anything weird. Is there any way (website / imagemagick script etc.) to generate these images automatically or do I need to draw them in some graphics program?

I have .wav files and text files containing the transcription for every sound. The problem appears when I need to run a program that requires admin rights, is there a way to include the password somehow so I won't have to type it every time ? I have 3 methods one that inputs the details of the students, one that inputs the marks and one to view student details and their marks.   CodeBlocks is not linking extension SDL Libraries like SDL_mixer and SDL_image? I followed Lazy Foo's tutorial for SDL 1.2 but I am compiling my program in SDL 2.0. The compiler is showing an error with the linking of the libraries though without the mixer library it is working. My linker setting look like this. //This is working -lmingw32 -lSDL2main -lSDL2 //But with the additional mixer library it is not working -lmingw32 -lSDL2main -lSDL2 -lSDL_mixer Please help!

• Why can VS not display my WPF application in the designer, but it can run it just fine?

  This is absolutely ridiculous! Visual Studio is able to run (debug) my program just fine, but it won't display my layout in the designer. It just gives this useless error: Can anyone help explain this? I have not changed the XAML at all, not a single character, since the last time it worked fine. I've only changed some .cs code.
