  • .NET coupled with MATLAB or R?

    I'm writing a program in .NET that will need to utilize the statistical and data analysis functions of R or MATLAB. I have used R but am now contemplating moving to MATLAB since it has a .Net compiler while R can only interface via COM objects. Can anyone recommend going either way? I know MATLAB is infinitely more expensive than R (since R is free) but I'm thinking that may translate to an easier development cycle?

  • GAC Assembly Reference in App.Config (Console Applications)

    I have a dll installed in GAC. I have not issues reading that assembly from asp.net applications the assembly reference i have done in web.config is able to refer to that assembly. But in the console application, when i put the below in the app.config file, the solution gets compiled, but i am not able to access the dll from program.cs file. Below is my app.config to refer to the dll in GAC. Please point to me what i am doing wrong.

  • Error while executing (.exe ) from windows command script (.cmd) file

    I have the following syntax in the .cmd file, where PathList is console application with .exe as extension. cd D:\Sample D: PathList 2> file.txt This syntax works fine if the file is saved with .bat as extension, but if save it with .cmd extension it throws error saying 'PathList' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Please can i know what is the issue with saving it with .cmd extension

    I have a custom struct : struct A { public int y; } a custom class with empty constuctor: class B { public A a; public B() { } } and here is the main: static void Main(string[] args) { B b = new B(); b.a.y = 5;//No runtime errors! Console.WriteLine(b.a.y); } When I run the above program, it does not give me any errors, although I did not initialize struct A in class B constructor..'a=new A();'
