  What customization options are there for Cocoas NSFontPanel? The NSFontPanel accessible in iWork Pages has "Text Underline", "Text Strikethrough" and "Document Color" controls at the top. We don't want these in our NSFontPanel. Is there any way to remove or disable these controls?

  I need to be able to do the following: Select * from Table1 left join Table2 on id1 = id2 AND i1 = ? Hibernate criteria doesn't allow be to specify the i1 = ? part. The existing code is using hibernate criteria and it would be a huge refactor to swap out for HQL Does anybody have any tips how I could implement this differently or any way to override the Hibernate Criteria? I'm not opposed to cracking open hibernate and modifying, but when I began to dig it, there seems to be layers upon layers of abstractions. I never found the the point where SQL is actually generated...

  Hi, I can now if a session contain any changes which must be synchronized with the database with session.isDirty() But i have a simple field (modification date) that i would like to be ignore by it. Example: object Person( name,age,datemodification). if i just modify the datemodification field i would like that session.isDirty() or othermethod like this to return false so at the end no sql update will occur.   To customize the visual look of a UISlider you can set the thumb and track images. Part of the track images gets stretched to the appropriate with. From the documentation: A stretchable region sits between two end cap regions. The end caps define the portions of the image that remain as is and are not stretched. The stretchable region is a 1-point wide area between the end caps that can be replicated to make the image appear longer. Now the problem I have is that my stretchable region needs to be more than 1-point wide. (It's a pattern) Unfortunately the 1-point width seems to be hard coded in the SDK. Anyone having an idea how to work around this? Or will I have to write my own slider from scratch for this?

  I am having problems finding any other information than the docs for how to save the tab order for my UITabBarController, so that the user's customization is saved for next app launch. I have searched online, but have been unable to find any blog posts or articles that goes through the proper code for doing this. I realize I have to use the delegate methods for the UITabBarController (didEndCustomizingViewControllers:) but I am not sure how I best approach persistance in terms of saving the state of the order the user wants the tabs in. Can someone post some code, point me in the right direction or perhaps you have a link for something saved? :) Thanks

  Greetings, I have just starting migrating to WLS 10.x and have noticed that the thread name [%t] for WL is quite verbose and more informative than I need for my deployment needs. Ultimately, I only care about the thread ID but WL gives me this:    [ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' ~ Does anybody know if there is a way in log4j to write a custom filter that will allow me to override PatternLayout so I can parse the WLS Thread Name to just output the thread ID which in this case above is 0. I'd rather extend then customize as it makes upgrading libraries so much easier. Thanks :) - JsD

• Customizing the Stars Image for Ajaxful_Rating RoR plugin

  I'm trying to come up with my own star image that's slightly smaller and different style than the one provided in the gem/plugin, but Ajaxful_rating doesn't have an easy way to do this. Here's what I've figured out so far: The stars.png in the public folder is three 25x25 pixel tiles stacked vertically, ordered empty star, normal star, and hover star. I'm assuming as long as you keep the above constraints, you should be fine without modifying any other files. But what if you want to change the image size of the stars to larger or smaller? I've found where you can change the height in the stylesheets/ajaxful_rating.css .ajaxful-rating{ position: relative; /*width: 125px; this is setted dynamically */ height: 25px; overflow: hidden; list-style: none; margin: 0; padding: 0; background-position: left top; } .ajaxful-rating li{ display: inline; } .ajaxful-rating a, .ajaxful-rating span, .ajaxful-rating .show-value{ position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; text-indent: -1000em; height: 25px; line-height: 25px; outline: none; overflow: hidden; border: none; } You just need to change every place that says "25px" above to whatever height your new star image is. This works fine but doesn't display the horizontal part correctly. Anyone know where I would look to set the horizontal part as well? (I'm assuming it's in an .rb file somewhere based upon how many stars you specified in your ajaxful_rating setup)

  I have a project that has several build configurations (FREE version, male-only, female-only, etc.). I am avoiding using multiple build targets because (A) the products are mostly all the same and (B) I don't want to have to do checkbox-management to keep every file I have included with all the targets. However, I have just a few files it would be nice NOT to include in certain builds. For example, I have male and female voice files, but I only want the male files in the male build and female voices in the female build. Question...is there a way to manage the build configuration to prevent these files from being included/linked in? What are my options?

  I'm aware that API 3 doesn't allow a view to be set for a tab, but I still need to modify the TextView displayed as the indicator. I'd also like to change the Drawable for the tab, but I don't see a way to do it without a custom tab view as allowed in 1.6, API 4. Working with this generic example below, is there way to retrieve the TextView and modify its properties or change the drawable?   Is it possible to customize Bugzilla bug numbers and add a letter designator, to immediately know it came from Bugzilla? My company is evaluating Bugzilla and has now added many new bugs. We also use 2 other bug databases. This wasn't my decision and I believe they were trying to incorporate better reporting, etc. I read an answer here about "seeding" Bugzilla bug numbers, by setting the "AUTO_INCREMENT" field in the "bugs" table to a different value. I wish I would've thought about this sooner and found this board. Setting that value to start at 9000 or some extraordinary value would have ensured that we knew exactly which bugs came from Bugzilla. However, would it be possible to change the field in the "bugs" table to accept letters, as well? Of course that would probably just mess up the whole auto incrementing of the numbers. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  I have an array of addresses that point to integers ( these integers are sorted in ascending order). They have duplicate values. Ex: 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4...... I am trying to get hold of all the values that are greater than a certain value(key). Currently trying to implement it using binary search algo - void *bsearch( const void *key, const void *base, size_t num, size_t width, int ( __cdecl *compare ) ( const void *, const void *) ); I am not able to achieve this completely, but for some of them. Would there be any other way to get hold of all the values of the array, with out changing the algorithm I am using?

  Hi, I am developing a website in Sharepoint 2007. I came across a bit tricky problem. I have a document library web part in a web part page. I am using the summary toolbar view. I dont want users to add new documents on first screeen where it shows folders. I want them to open the folders and add documents there. I cannot do a No toolbar view because it will remove the link from every subsequent page. Has anyone implemented something like this. Please help.
