• VisualVM over ssh

    - by erwin
    I've read Visual VM remotely over ssh but I think I've not fully understood because it was not working for me :-( Please can someone give some example? ssh -D 9696 [email protected] and visualvm.exe -J-Dnetbeans.system_socks_proxy=localhost:9696 -J-Djava.net.useSystemProxies=true starts visualvm, but no processes of external machine are shown (only the local ones like visualvm itself). Moreover sometimes (but not always) I got the message "channel 3: open failed: connect failed: Connection refused" in my ssh window. Any help?

  • Exceptions with DateTime parsing in RSS feed in C#

    - by hIpPy
    I'm trying to parse Rss2, Atom feeds using SyndicationFeedFormatter and SyndicationFeed objects. But I'm getting XmlExceptions while parsing DateTime field like pubDate and/or lastBuildDate. Wed, 24 Feb 2010 18:56:04 GMT+00:00 does not work Wed, 24 Feb 2010 18:56:04 GMT works So, it's throwing due to the timezone field. As a workaround, for familiar feeds I would manually fix those DateTime nodes - by catching the XmlException, loading the Rss into an XmlDocument, fixing those nodes' value, creating a new XmlReader and then returning the formatter from this new XmlReader object (code not shown). But for this approach to work, I need to know beforehand which nodes cause exception. SyndicationFeedFormatter syndicationFeedFormatter = null; XmlReaderSettings settings = new XmlReaderSettings(); using (XmlReader reader = XmlReader.Create(url, settings)) { try { syndicationFeedFormatter = SyndicationFormatterFactory.CreateFeedFormatter(reader); syndicationFeedFormatter.ReadFrom(reader); } catch (XmlException xexp) { // fix those datetime nodes with exceptions and read again. } return syndicationFeedFormatter; } rss feed: http://news.google.com/news?pz=1&cf=all&ned=us&hl=en&q=test&cf=all&output=rss exception detials: XmlException Error in line 1 position 376. An error was encountered when parsing a DateTime value in the XML. at System.ServiceModel.Syndication.Rss20FeedFormatter.DateFromString(String dateTimeString, XmlReader reader) at System.ServiceModel.Syndication.Rss20FeedFormatter.ReadXml(XmlReader reader, SyndicationFeed result) at System.ServiceModel.Syndication.Rss20FeedFormatter.ReadFrom(XmlReader reader) at ... cs:line 171

...

<-----exception ...
...

...

Is there a better way to achieve this? • WCF ReliableSession and Timeouts

    - by user80108
    I have a WCF service used mainly for managing documents in a repository. I used the chunking channel sample from MS so that I could upload/download huge files. Now I implemented reliable session with the service and I am seeing some strange behaviors. Here are the timeout values I am using. this.SendTimeout = new TimeSpan(0,10,0); this.OpenTimeout = new TimeSpan(0, 1, 0); this.CloseTimeout = new TimeSpan(0, 1, 0); this.ReceiveTimeout = new TimeSpan(0,10, 0); reliableBe.InactivityTimeout = new TimeSpan(0,2,0); I have the following issues. 1. If the Service is not up & running, the clients are not get disconnected after OpenTimeout. I tried it with my test client. Scenario 1: Without Reliable Session: I get the following exception: Could not connect to net.tcp://localhost:8788/MediaManagementService/ep1. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:00.9848790. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8788 This is the correct behavior as I have given the OpenTimeout as 1 sec. Scenario 2: With ReliableSession: I get the same exception: Could not connect to net.tcp://localhost:8788/MediaManagementService/ep1. The connection attempt lasted for a time span of 00:00:00.9692460. TCP error code 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8788. But this message comes after around 10 mintes . (I believe after SendTimeout) So here I just have enabled the reliable session and now it looks like the OpenTimeout = SendTimeout for the client. Is this desired behavior? 2: Issue while uploading huge files with ReliableSession: The general rule is that you have to set a huge value for the maxReceivedMessageSize, SendTimeout and ReceiveTimeout. But in the case of Chunking channel, the max received message size doesn't matter as the data is sent in chunks. So I set a huge value for Send and ReceiveTimeout : say 10 hours. Now the upload is going fine, but it has a side effect that, even if the Service is not up, it takes 10 hours to timeout the client connection due to the behavior mentioned in (1). Please let me know your thoughts on this behavior.

  • Simplest Algorithm for 2D Interpolation

    - by Gayan
    I have two shapes which are cross sections of a channel. I want to calculate the cross section of an intermediate point between the two defined points. What's the simplest algorithm to use in this situation? P.S. I came across several algorithms like natural neighbor and poisson which seemed complex. I'm looking for a simple solution which could be implemented quickly

  • GLSL check if fragment is on geometry

    - by mokaschitta
    I am currently writing the positions of my geometry to the RGB channels of gl_FragColor and I would like to write 1.0 to the alpha channel if the fragment is part of geometry, and 0.0 if its empty. Is there a simple way to tell if a fragment is geometry or not? Maybe through gl_FragCoord.z? thanks

  • Using paired certificates with urllib2

    - by Ned Batchelder
    I need to create a secure channel between my server and a remote web service. I'll be using HTTPS with a client certificate. I'll also need to validate the certificate presented by the remote service. How can I use my own client certificate with urllib2? What will I need to do in my code to ensure that the remote certificate is correct?

    It's possible to implement INotifyCollectionChanged or other interface like IObservable to enable to bind filtered data from xml file on this file changed ? I see examples with properties or collection, but what with files changes ? I have that code to filter and bind xml data to list box: XmlDocument channelsDoc = new XmlDocument(); channelsDoc.Load("RssChannels.xml"); XmlNodeList channelsList = channelsDoc.GetElementsByTagName("channel"); this.RssChannelsListBox.DataContext = channelsList;

  • Need help implementing simple socket server using GIOService (GLib, Glib-GIO)

    - by Mark Renouf
    I'm learning the basics of writing a simple, efficient socket server using GLib. I'm experimenting with GSocketService. So far I can only seem to accept connections but then they are immediately closed. From the docs I can't figure out what step I am missing. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. When running the following: # telnet localhost 4000 Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. • Uploading to Youtube via a proxy using the Java Youtube API

    - by Binaromong
    So I want to write a servlet which uploads a video to a youtube channel using the Java API, but I can't seem to find a way of specifying that I want to go through a proxy server. I've seen an example on this site where someone managed to do this using C#, but the Classes they used don't seem to exist in the Java API. Has anybody managed to successfully do this? YouTubeService service = new YouTubeService(clientID, developerKey);

  • fastest way to sort the entries of a "smooth" 2D array

    - by Drew Wagner
    What is the fastest way to sort the values in a smooth 2D array? The input is a small filtered image: about 60 by 80 pixels single channel single or double precision float row major storage, sequential in memory values have mixed sign piecewise "smooth", with regions on the order of 10 pixels wide Output is a flat (about 4800 value) array of the sorted values, along with the indices that sort the original array.

  • BindException with INTERNET permission requested

  • SoapUI JMS Connections

    - by Damo
    I am using SoapUI to do performance testing of some services over JMS using WebSphere MQ as the JMS Provider. SoapUI uses HermesJMS to provide the JMS Connection details for the JMS Endpoint. I've noticed that when I call a request from SoapUI the JMS Connection is never closed. This results in hundreds of SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN channel connections. It seems to be specific to SoapUI as HermeJMS doesn't exhibit this behaviour. Has anyone else seen this?
